Beast | Official Trailer

Beast - Only In Theaters August 19 Sometimes the rustle in the bushes actually is a monster. Idris Elba (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, The Suicide Squad) stars in a pulse-pounding new thriller about a father and his two teenage daughters who find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the savannah has but one apex predator. Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniels, a recently widowed husband who returns to South Africa, where he first met his wife, on a long-planned trip with their daughters to a game reserve managed by Martin Battles (Sharlto Copley, Russian Doll series, Maleficent), an old family friend and wildlife biologist. But what begins as a journey of healing jolts into a fearsome fight for survival when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers who now sees all humans as the enemy, begins stalking them. Iyana Halley (The Hate U Give, This is Us series) plays Daniels’ 18-year-old daughter, Meredith, and Leah Sava Jeffries (Rel series, Empire series) plays his 13-year-old, Norah. From visceral, experiential filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur, the director of Everest and Universal Pictures’ 2 Guns and Contraband, Beast is produced by Will Packer, the blockbuster producer of Girls Trip, the Ride Along franchise, and ten movies that have opened No. 1 at the U.S. box office, including Night School, No Good Deed and Think Like a Man, by James Lopez, president of Will Packer Productions, and by Baltasar Kormákur. The film is written by Ryan Engle (Rampage, Non-Stop) from an original story by Jaime Primak Sullivan and is executive produced by Jaime Primak Sullivan and Bernard Bellew. @Relatosdelanoche

Reminds me of The Ghost and the Darkness. Awesome!

@madehamalecela1703

Movies where a family goes for an adventure then something goes wrong, always deliver ultimate tense moments to the audience. I love this movie already.

@joanhoffman3702

Unless you’ve experienced it, most people don’t realize how dangerous it can be in the wild. Nature is not a large petting zoo! I’m looking forward to seeing this.

@mathiasgomez3923

Such a well done movie. I loved the safari, the landcruiser, the courageous uncle and an actual relatable family with family problems who think critically when the lion hunts them. The girls trying the radio while the dad does first aid.. Everyone's doing something and not waiting for the plot to happen. I really was on edge concerned for everyone's well being when everyone is doing the right thing in their circumstance.

@aaronpolselli3691

Just from the trailer alone I'm hoping for not only the family but the supporting actor that might be a defense guide for them, this is probably the most legit animal attack film in recent memory. Can't wait to see it! Edit: Idris Elba is one of my favorite actors for years now!

@travelerforever8849

This movie is very intense. I love every single moment of it. Plus, the beauty of Africa is mesmerising.

@bad2dabohn1992

After 1000 shark movies and the recent Crawl this actually feels like a breath of fresh air :) plus Idris Elba is always a win

@michaelantolini8135

This looks like a modern take on The Ghost and the Darkness…fantastic movie btw!!! I’m actually quite excited for this

@TheTreyKingShow

I wonder will this movie be as good or even better than the classic movie starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas " The Ghost and the Darkness"?🐅🐅

@misssunshine7408

This movie is so good and feels so real the action, drama, horror and the actors did a fabulous job with the roles. Idris Elba was just so cool Dad 😊❤

@darcydemars69

The "ambience " sound they start using at 0:49 gives me chills. 💯

@dhoward3093

This movie was awesome and filled with moments of jolting you back deep into it at every turn. This is the film that makes you wonder what's going to happen next...just before it happens. Sure you can figure out a few of the common things in any film, but this was an amazing journey into the belly of the Beast! I highly recommend! Everyone played their part and truly represented. Idris has done it again and keeps doing it. I will be seeing this again. Not suitable for scardy-cats lol

@Bierdaddy1

Finally. A “monster movie” with an actual real beast, reminding people those are still out there. Respect the real life king.

@FingerBreakerWu

Good to see Sharlto Copley back on the screen again. Love that guy!

@shendruew

"when a lion, a survivor of blood-thirsty poachers " Go killer lion! And obviously Idris Elba too!

@romeolethabo221

Hello citizens of the world, an amazing movie indeed. I am even happier because I am a native speaker of "Tshivenda", one of the 11 official languages in South Africa. The language spoken in this movie. I enjoyed watching it.

@tyrone8867

That part where they got into the car and the “Beast” eventually pounces up on top of the roof of the car, reminded me soo much of the movie CUJO. Nostalgia ❤️

@anulekh4213

Awesome movie! Just returned home watching it.. it's still giving me goosebumps.. thoroughly enjoyed.. screamed and panicked.. wow!!

@ReddCinema

Finally another Lion horror movie after Ghost and the Darkness hopefully it’ll be good

@LaKhoza

I just watched this movie today and I must say it's one of the best Idris Elba movies . Especially the last scene where he fights the lion .... Chef's 😘 kiss
