him and expressed his desire to divide the property equally between his two sons. The panchayat officer listened to both the arguments. Later, before giving his verdict, he questioned some of the villagers. They also said that they thought that Ramanaiah had always treated his sons equally and shared the property equally. The statements of the witnesses, Seenaiah's support, Veeraiah's fair words - all these were taken into consideration by the panchayat officer. "Ramaniah's property should be sh
