So I watched Blackbird  I would say it stands with the Netflix's popular series mind Hunter except  it Leaps and Bounds better before we start let me ask you something what  would you do if you are sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment? but wait you have a choice to get out of it  if you finish a job. certainly, you will do the job right! but what if while doing the job there  is a risk of Lifetime imprisonment or death. I suppose you will give it to some thoughts now  so welcome back friends to
the Screenbug where we explore the latest and the greatest in the  world of entertainment today we are reviewing an excellent Apple TV series Blackbird based on  a true story six episodes limited series Blackbird is an American crime drama miniseries developed  by Dannis Lehane based on the 2010 autobiographical Novel "In the devil a fallen hero: a serial killer  and a dangerous bargain of redemption by James" before we dive into the details let me give  you a quick overview, James Jimmy Keene,
a star football player with scholarships to alite colleges  who is destined to achieve greatness, that is until all his Dreams Come crashing down when he  is drawn into the world of drugs. an American bad boy who sleeps around with women deals in drugs  and stores armed weapon in his house. Jimmy's nonchalant days come to an end when his apartment  is raided and is found in the position of drugs and arms he pleads guilty to the charges registered  against him and is sentenced to 10 years in pri
son however FBI offers Jimmy his freedom in exchange  for a favor Jimmy is to move to a Maximum Security Prison whose inmates are deemed criminally insane  he has to get a confession out of Larry Hall an inmate suspected of having killed over 14 women  whose bodies remain undiscovered. now let's talk about about the characters, the series boasts  a compelling cost with actors like tan Urton Teran is phenomenal in the show his Charming  personality was a plus Point as he fits in the role perfectl
y like it is written for him  only he shows a range of his performances I remember one scene where there's a guy in  the prison who messes around on just a matter of a TV show whom Jimmy beats up and delivers  dialogues to impress the killer so that he can befriend with him that scene was really awesome  also we see a father-son relationship where as a son he nailed the character next character which  stands with the main characters is of course the villain played by Paul Walter he won the Golde
n  Globe in the best supporting actor for this show the plot of Blackbird is around the confession  from Larry Hall about the killings but Larry had already put a doubt by taking the credit  of other killings which he didn't even do he he lies all the time so it becomes difficult  to get a real confession out of him and where exactly he buried the those bodies talking  about the cinematography of this series visually the color grading is reminiscent of Netflix's  mind Hunter however the producti
on of series is clean with crisp sound and hush tons if you are  a mind Hunter Fan who has still not gotten over, not getting a third season of your favorite show  black bird can provide some much needed closure. in a conclusion Blackbird is a gripping series  that keeps you on the edge of your seat with a compelling story line Great Performances and  stunning visuals it's definitely worth a watch I would give it a solid 9 out of 10 so thank  you friends I'll see you in the next video bye!
