A new trailer for Cinderella’s Revenge has been released, showing a darker twist on the classic fairytale.
The movie, set to premiere on April 26, tells the story of Cinderella pushed to her limit by her evil stepmother and stepsisters. In response, she seeks revenge with the help of her Fairy Godmother. Entertainment Weekly also shared images teasing the tense moments between Cinderella and her villains.
Director Andy Edwards wanted to explore the idea of Cinderella seeking revenge against her mistreating family. He promises surprises, including elements of sex and violence.
The cast includes Lauren Staerck as Cinderella and Natasha Henstridge as the Fairy Godmother. Other actors include Stephanie Lodge, Beatrice Fletcher, Megan Purvis, and more.
