Create Anime Visual Effects Like Dave Ardito!

hey what's up welcome back it's zened with a new tutorial on how to create anime VFX videos part three in this third episode I will teach you how to create the three remaining visual effect tricks and here is how the final effect will [Music] look the first effect we're going to start with is the superhero Landing after shooting your videos and of course taking an empty shot bring everything inside after effects all right so here I have my Clean Plate at the bottom and on top is my clip first th

ing to do is to go to the part where I'm in the air and now duplicate your clip by pressing contrl plus shift plus d now I will freeze frame this layer and create a rough mask around myself further out then press contrl plus shift plus d to get rid of this part I will extend it a bit and now key frame its position to make it enter the window from outside so I'm going to move it right here then move forward for a couple frames and now change its position back here what you need to do now is to cr

eate another mask around the window set it to substract and adjust the mask on each frame so the subject looks like it's coming from outside the [Music] window and now enable motion blur to get this look now as I touch the ground I'm going to add a groundbreaking effect so I will bring this clip and position it where my foot [Music] lenss change its blend mode to multiply to make it more visible and now because the groundbreaking footage is above my leg I will create a mask on this layer to subs

tract my leg from it so I just draw a mask around the leg further it out and key frame its path to follow the leg until it leaves the footage okay now you can see these edges are visible so to remove it I will create a mask set it to substract and feather it out and now I will duplicate the groundbreaking footage and do the same thing for the second leg to end up with something like this and now you can add some dust effects to the ground bricks and you're good to go now I will create the ninja

Dash effect so I will look for the frame where I start dashing just right here now press contrl plus shift plus d then move forward and on this new layer create a rough mask around the subject further it out then freeze frame this layer and key frame is position move forward again and move it outside of the frame I will turn this layer into a 3D layer then move it on the X and z-axis to make it closer to the camera and that's more realistic and of course enable motion blur on both layer and comp

to get this look I will now get rid of this part and the last thing I'm going to do is to add The Dashing effect to my mirror reflection as well so I will duplicate this layer freze frame it make it only a few frames long then rename it to reflection also rename this layer to subject and now in the reflection layer draw a mask around my mirror reflection key frame its position move fold for a couple frames then move it outside of the frame and enable motion blur now I will precompose it check m

ove all attributes into the new [Music] composition then get rid of this port and finally create a mask around the mirror to finally end up with this [Music] effect the second effect is the fast punches effect you just record yourself punching in the air then bring your clip into After Effects okay so this is my clip now the first thing I need to do is to find a clear punch this one seems fine now duplicate your clip by pressing contrl plus d then create a mask around your arm freeze frame this

new layer and now I will will create a wiggle expression for the position so all click on the position stopwatch and type in wiggle Open Bracket 200 comma 200 close bracket and now enable motion blur to get this look and now press ctrl+ D to copy this layer and change the position of each layer to create multiple punches [Music] now I will precompose this bottom layer then right click on it and choose time enable time remapping and I will create a key frame right here after I finish punching and

now select both key frames and move them closer to make the clip faster add a cc Force motion blur effect to the camp and change the shatter angle to 500 to add extra motion blur and thus end up with this look and finally the last effect is this speed of animacy so you learn how to clean your room in a blink of an eye record your video with the stuff on the ground then get into the scene and start taking the first object then move away from the camera but don't repeat my fault which is my mirro

r reflection on the window but don't worry I will fix it easy now keep doing the same thing for all the remaining stuff and after that take a clean shot and bring everything into After Effects so this is my clip and this is The Clean Plate now the first thing I'm going to do is to duplicate my clip and now on the new copy draw a mask around the subject further it out then Freeze Frame the layer I will make it only visible for a couple frames and now I will come right here just before I touch the

first object and press contrl plus shift plus d then get rid of this part because we're going to replace it with this new layer I will make it even shorter now I will key frame its position move it away from the scene move forward a couple frames and bring it back now just enable motion blur to get this look okay now let's continue after I grab the shoes about here I will press contrl plus shift plus d move forward one frame and press contrl plus shift plus d again to get this new clip of me ho

lding the shoe free frame it so now I will create a mask around myself and feather it out a bit now for the tricky part on The Clean Plate layer press contrl plus shift plus d and delete this part because on this scene every time I remove an object I need to add a new Clean Plate with all the remaining objects in it except the one I just removed and to do so I will go to where I took the shoes away from the scene just right here press control plus shift plus d and delete this unnecessary part an

d now move forward one frame and press it again to get this small layer which is my new Clean Plate so I will freeze frame it then extend it a bit and move it down here I will fix my mirror reflection before I move on and to do so I will just look for a shot where the reflection is clean then create a mask around the window and now just put this clip on top of the clean shot I will rename this clip to mirror so you don't get confused with so much layers so don't mind this one all right so now I

will key frame the opp position of this layer move forward a couple of frames and move it outside of the frame then enable motion blur to end up with this [Music] look now all you have to do is to repeat the same steps for all the remaining objects first of all choose the frame just before you hold the object now duplicate the layer free frame it create a mask on the subject make it only a few frames Long Key frame its position move it away from the scene then move forward and move it back in po

sition then do the same thing to get the subject out of The Fray and finally add your next clean shot and of course don't forget the emotion blur and everything should be fine now I will speed up the process to finally get this effect after you're done select all the layers and precompose them and then right click on the comp and choose time enable time remapping to make it a bit faster so add a key frame just before the effect starts then add another key frame after it ends and now select both

the second and last key frame and move them closer to the first first key frame to make the effect faster but don't move it too close it should look natural like this the last thing to do is to add a cc Force motion blur effect and increase the motion blur samples to 255 to finally end up with this effect and that was the third episode of how to create anime VFX video if you guys have any questions or suggestions or want me to create a St effect just leave me a comment below and now thanks for w
