Darjeeling Tour | 4 Days Darjeeling Tour Guide in Bengali | Darjeeling Tourist Places

Darjeeling, West Bengal #Darjeeling is a city and municipality in the Eastern Himalayas in India in the northernmost region of the state of West Bengal. It is famous for its tea industry, scenic views of the world's third-highest mountain #Kangchenjunga, and a narrow-gauge mountain railway, the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In this video we cover our 4 days trip to the queen of hills Darjeeling city. Our Darjeeling tour starts with journey from Bardhaman to New Jalpaiguri by Darjeeling Mail. Then from New Jalpaiguri to Darjeeling via Mirik on road. On our way to Darjeeling we explore Tingling view point, Mirik lake, Gopaldhara Tea Garden, Pashupati Market Gate and Simana View point. After reaching Darjeeling we stay at a Hotel Capital which is located near Darjeeling Mall road just above the taxi stand. This hotel is located close to famous restaurants like Kunga, Keventers, Glenarys and popular restaurants like Mahakal Restaurant that offers Bengali cuisine. At the evening we visit the Darjeeling Mall and the observatory hill road to watch the sunset. Next morning we visit the tiger hill to watch the famous sunrise from there. Due to clear weather we enjoy the sunrise and capture some beautiful videos and photos of Kanchenjunga and Darjeeling during this golden hour. For breakfast we went to the iconic Keventers and had tea and sandwiches while enjoying the sun and views from the roof-top. In that afternoon we visit the Darjeeling Railway Station for our Darjeeling Himalayan Railway Joyride which we had booked in advance via IRCTC website. We had the amazing experience of #darjeelingtoytrain journey which took us to Ghum Station via Batasia Loop and then back to Darjeeling. In the evening after some snacks at the Frank Ross Cafe we again went to the Mall. We had dinner at Glenarys enjoying the live music and ambience of the place. Next morning we booked a cab and visited a number of places for a day trip including Rangit Valley Ropeway, Darjeeling Tea Garden, Roy Villa, Tenzing Rock HMI, Gombu Rock, St Joseph's School North Point, Padmajanaidu Himalayan Zoological Park and Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. We saw various animals and trees and flowers along with the history of HMI at the HMI museum and the Bengal Natural History Museum. We also saw the Red Panda which is a native animal and exclusive to this region. Next we saw Bose Institute, Tenzing Norgay's house, Japanese Temple, Peace Pagoda, Rock Garden and Orange Valley Tea Garden. Next morning we woke up early and went to Observatory hill to see the Kanchenjunga. Then we went to the Mahakal Mandir which is located nearby. Then we saw the Governer's house (Raj Bhavan), Bhanu Bhavan, Old Church and then went to Glenarys to have the famous Darjeeling Tea and Pizza for breakfast. Then we checked out from our hotel and went to NJP as we had our train to catch that night. This is an extended trailer of our upcoming Darjeeling Tour Vlogs. Hello friends I am Amritendra, welcome to AmritoBharat. Darjeeling is a hill station, which Bengalis like me who love to travel call the queen of hills. for us holiday at seaside means Digha or Puri, similarly for hill stations we mean Darjeeling and the best time to visit Darjeeling is autumn so I and my brother Ankit went out to Darjeeling to spend a few days in the mountains for Darjeeling, you have to reach New Jalpaiguri or Siliguri station first There are many trains like Howrah to New Jal
paiguri Shatabdi Express, Sealdah to Teesta Torsa Express also Sealdah to Siliguri Kanchankanya Express Although there are many such trains, we booked the ticket of Sealdah New Jalpaiguri Darjeeling Mail Our journey to Darjeeling started on November 8th from Burdwan station at 11:35 PM by Darjeeling Mail. 1st day The train ran fast through the night but still we reached 16 minutes late at 8:31 AM at NGP station. There are various vehicles available outside the station that can take you to Darjee
ling. After a bit of haggling, we both rented a Tata Sumo car There are two different routes to reach Darjeeling from NJP or Siliguri one is via Rohini, Kurseong, Sonada, Ghum to Darjeeling and the other is via Mirik, Lepcha Jagat, Ghum to Darjeeling we chose this second route via Mirik our car driver was a very nice guy he stopped the car numerous times so that we can take photographs on the way which is why we were able to take some good pictures and videos You can find those pictures on my in
stagram Instagram profile, link in description box You can also go to Darjeeling from Siliguri via shared taxi service INR 250 to 300 is the per head cost of such service but that car does not go through this road that we are going through, that car goes to Darjeeling via Kurseong. If you want to go on this Mirik road, you have to hire the whole car. Tingling View Point Mirik Lake Gopaldhara Tea Estate Chhabbishe View Point Nepal's Pashupati Nagar Check Post Simana View Point these were the sigh
ts we saw before reaching Darjeeling at 2:30 PM we stayed at Hotel Capital located near the Darjeeling Clock Tower All the details of our journey to Darjeeling and hotel booking will be covered in the upcoming Darjeeling Vlog series To watch those videos and get the complete information subscribe to this channel also hit the bell icon next to the subscribe button so that whenever i upload a new video you get instant notification of the same right after checking in at the hotel, we dropped off ou
r luggage and went to Mahakal Restaurant for lunch We took some rest at our hotel after the lunch and then went out to the Mall in the evening There is a Kanchanjunga view point a little ahead of the Mall. The weather was quite clear, so we enjoyed the beautiful view of the sunset from there. Then we spent the evening at Darjeeling's central mall or mall. There are various types of street food available here in the evening we had some snacks and then looked around the new Mahakal Market for wint
er clothes that are being sold there The evening was well spent. We had dinner at KFC On the 2nd day, we went out at 4 am to see the sunrise from Tiger Hill. Autumn (October to November) is the perfect time to watch this beautiful sunrise. We returned to the hotel after witnessing the beautiful sunrise in the morning. That day we had breakfast sitting on the rooftop of the iconic Keventers restaurant. It is impossible to come to Darjeeling and not take a ride on the Toy Train. So we had already
booked the ticket for the Joy Ride in the afternoon of that day. Our tickets for the Joy Ride was at 2:20 pm So we spent the rest of the first half of that day resting at our hotel the breakfast was good and heavy and we also ate cakes and biscuits that we already had with us so we skipped the lunch and went straight to Darjeeling station to for the joy ride The Joy Ride began at the scheduled time This Darjeeling Himalayan Railway journey is something else train journey on the mountains is an a
mazing experience the first destination of the train is the Batasia Loop you get to enjoy the scenic view of Darjeeling city and the Kanchenjunga from here then the final destination Ghum station arrives there is a Darjeeling Himalayan Railways museum at the Ghum station After visiting the museum we again board the train back to Darjeeling station, that's the end of the Joy Ride. By the time this Joy Ride was over we started feeling hungry. Since we didn't have lunch so we decided to have a fill
ing meal. We had dosa at Frank Ross Cafe We spent the rest of our evening at the Mall. At night we had dinner at Glenarys which is another iconic restaurant in Darjeeling. On our 3rd day morning we walked around the Mall then went out for breakfast at Sholo Anna Bengali restaurant We booked a car for the whole day for sightseeing around Darjeeling We don't usually book a car for 3 points, 5 points or 7 points to visit the tourist attractions. We asked the driver to take us to the places that we
wished to visit. First we visited Rangit Valley Ropeway This ropeway is open from 10 AM to 4 PM But the counter might be shut after 2 pm if there is heavy rush and long queus. Ticket price is INR 260 for adults and INR 130 for children of 3 to 10 years. the 8 km long ropeway journey over the tea gardens makes it even more exciting After the ropeway we went to visit the Happy Valley Tea Garden from there we went to the Roy Villa and from there we went in front of the HMI Tenzing Rock here you can
try rock climbing if you want to experience it after Tenzing Rock we saw Gombu Rock, St. Joseph North Point School and then we went to Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park Entry fee is INR 60 and camera fee is INR 10 This zoo is open everyday except Thursday, from 8 AM to 4 PM here you can see rare animals like snow leopard, Tibetan wolf, red panda, etc Inside the zoo there is the Bengal Natural History Museum where you can see dead remains and fossils of various animals Also within this zoo is the Hi
malayan Mountaineering Institute or HMI The HMI museum here has many photos of mountain peak expeditions and also various equipments used by famous people are beautifully displayed here This tour of the zoo and museum takes 3 to 4 hours to explore properly photography is prohibited inside the museums, so I couldn't click photographs for you to see But i must recommend you to come, see and enjoy all of it. We had lunch at a restaurant inside the HMI. Then we left here to visit the Bose Institute.
From there we went to Japanese Temple and Peace Pagoda. After spending some time we next went to see Tenzing Norgay's house. and from there we went to Rock Garden This Rock Garden is located about 20 km from Darjeeling city. It takes 40 to 45 minutes to reach rock garden The route is beautiful. It was an amazing journey travelling through the tea gardens. The entry fee of rock garden is INR 20 per head. The waterfall is the main attraction of this park. We spent some time there. On the way back
we went to the Orange Valley Tea Garden. We enjoyed the sunset from there while having tea. Orange Valley Tea Garden was our last place of visit for that day. After returning to Darjeeling we visited the mall and spend the evening like the other days. That night we had dinner at Mahakal restaurant. In the morning of our 4th and final day at Darjeeling we walked around the observatory hill we visited the Mahakal temple and noticed the incredible fusion of Buddhism and Hinduism there. We had brea
kfast at Glenarys. We had our return train from NJP to Asansol that night. So we checked out from our hotel at 11:30 AM and travelled to Siliguri from Darjeeling on a shared taxi service. This is how our 4 days darjeeling tour came to an end.
