Boy, if the tremors of 7.4 M shook for 2 minutes, That had to be unimaginable. I have lived through my share of California earthquakes for over 3 decades. In 1992, we were Jolted by a violent, loud quake, 7.3 m. It lasted nearly a minute. We had an extremely hard time trying to reach our daughter, on the second floor. We were thrown around while climbing the stairs. There was damage all over; inside and outside. A second separate quake struck nearly four hours later, 6.7m. We were outside sitting by the spa; neighbors came over and we sat, drinking coffee, for fear of going back in the house. We watched in horror as the second quake sent our home nearly off the foundation, before snapping back with a huge noise. That quake finished off what the first quake left behind.
