In Colombia, theater has become a frequent artistic and social practice, driven by the success of radio dramas initiated in the 1940s, causing the formation of numerous theater groups, companies and the celebration of theater festivals, some supported by public institutions.

La Unidad de Educación Digital trabaja sobre cuatro dimensiones de la educación:
Dimensión pedagógica: Asume el modelo pedagógico orientado a la metodología de educación digital de los programas, la definición de cada malla curricular y el diseño instruccional de los mismos.
Dimensión tecnológica: Hace referencia a la infraestructura tecnológica y recursos físicos que apoyan el proceso de educación digital.
Dimensión comunicativa: Comprende los lineamientos comunicativos y de metodología e-learning, orientados a la producción de contenidos articulados al modelo pedagógico digital de la Institución.
Dimensión organizacional: Asume el recurso humano institucional como apoyo al proceso de educación digital.

The Third Theater Festival of Colombia, held between August 13 and September 30, 1959, was supported by the national government of Colombia. During the previous year, under the instructions of the Republic's president, Carlo
s Lleras Restrepo, and the approval of the National Congress, Theater Festival Corporation was created, which was in charge of the costs of transport, scenery, costumes, and performance of the participants in the event, in addition to the awards for the winners of the festival. The cultural scene of the capital of the country had seen with some confusion the emergence of a new artistic festival starring the theater in 1957. Two years later the Minister of Education, Abel Naranjo Villegas, at the
opening ceremony of the third edition of the Theater Festival, would remember the uncertain beginnings of it as, "a movement between surprise and skeptic", with the risk of falling "in the same flaw of our national psychology". It should be noted that Naranjo Villegas had also inaugurated the first version of the theatrical event.
