Every HIDDEN DETAIL in Vampire World! | Adventure Time Fionna & Cake Episode 7 "The Star" Breakdown

hey adventurers today we're following Fiona cake and Simon on their multiversal hopping escapades this time to vampire world you're watching Whitney vision and this is our breakdown of episode 7 the star this is your spoiler warning if you haven't seen Fiona and Cake episode 7 yet HIIT pause on this video with your time remote and come back once you've staked some Vamps the episode opens on the Wasteland of oo after the Mushroom War where young Marcy is alone hiding from users she finds the corp

se of Simon Petrov who was bitten by vampire on the neck and hands this dude is almost full skeleton thanks to the birds slowly devouring his shriveled flesh he still however has his three signature pens in his front shirt pocket a shadow appears over Marceline and I'd bet Simon's boots that it's the vampire King coming to recruit her for his army the scene changes to modern day and the star's title card appears on screen this text is outlined in the viny decay of a vampire bite Simon's corpse i

s definitely full Skelly now and the city has been taken over further by mushrooms and radioactive overgrowth prismo's remote beams Fiona cake and Simon from Baby World to vampire world where cake is still wearing her diaper and suck in her Binky and Simon's hair is adorably messy from their nap although cake is loving their overall Adventure Fiona is starting to feel guilty for slaying the Candy People in the winter Kingdom but they've got bigger things to worry about prismo's remote is smoking

the battery is dying and they might only have one good Multiverse jump left as they pass through the Wasteland we you see a ton of graffiti left by past survivors although there don't seem to be many humans left first there's the no welcome sign behind the gang when they first arrive when they walk past a large wall with tons of graffiti it reads looking for Dave fear and sadness dead Sun equals dead people have you seen my mom run eat garlic and I am alive which I really hope was written by ei

ther Dave or the mom later on in the episode we also see additional graffiti like dead Sun darkness is here no more light light Darkness Etc and garlick or suck Bubblegum's tank pulls up in the nick of time to hose the attacking vampires down with holy water robot Peppermint Butler scans their teeth and Cake reveals that she has a mouth full of Vamp skulls in there fun fact decapitation is one of the methods for making sure a vamp stays dead in the olden times if someone was suspected of Dying b

y vampire they'd decapitate the body to ensure more wouldn't spring up this world's PB has short hair pink camouflage pants and an eye patch and it's implied that Marcy was the one who stole her gum globe in this universe pep bud is now an AI weapon system similar to how Iron Man's Butler Jarvis from the comics was adapted into being AI in the movie Universe when cake introduces herself she spells her name c a e k probably because cats don't know how to spell Peebles catches the gang up on what'

s been going down around these parts the vampire King has Simon's wish crown and is using it to summon a blanket of clouds that cast the sky into Perpetual Shadow obviously because vampires burn like babies with the slightest hint of sun exposure as their tank rolls down the street you can see a girl peeking out of the window with garlic on her head to keep the vampires at Bay inside PB has a couple of stickers on the back of her chair the first says back off but the second says spend and blute

which is German for donate blood considering that the be plot is about Hannah abadeer's blood drive and charity ball it's interesting to see Bonnie advertising the same cause we've heard Princess Bubblegum speak German numerous times in the original series and she even has a German welcome sign outside of her house in season 10's bonabelle bubblegum but something that's always been interesting to me is that the official Adventure Time encyclopedia lists German as the language of demons is people

's part demon the Multiverse may never know many Adventure Time fans have theorized that perhaps The Candy Kingdom was built on German land after the Mushroom War considering that Simon got the wish Crown from a Scandinavian dock worker it makes sense that some locations in U were previously part of Europe before a Creator got blown in the planet and likely mishmash the continents the rest of the interior of the tank is decked out in Vampire fighting gear there's like a billion different shapes

sizes and types of steaks plus garlic mallets and knives The Heavy Hitters however are Bonnie's garos garlic bonds rigged to detonate all of this gear down to the bombs match pep butts vampire slaying tools from the main series I have these high tech weapons painstakingly stockpiled in case a certain fremy of yours decides to turn on us someday PB also has a cute little coffee cup with a picture of her cat Timmy on it before she smashes it in a rage Timmy first appeared in season 6's the pajama

War Fiona cake and Simon are introduced to Vamp World Martin Mertens an expert in weapons and soup and huness wizard a survivalist PB and huness explained to the others that their biggest adversary is the vampire King's Ward known as the star like I mentioned earlier it's clear that Marceline was approached by the vampire King when she was young and impressionable and after training her she's the only vampire to Outlast The vk's Trusted Inner Circle PB touches her eye patch when she tells the ga

ng that she has a score to settle and we later find out that the star actually sucked her eyeball out of her head back in the episode henchmen Marcy performed the song fisherman our first acknowledgement that this gal really likes slurping up ocular orbs like the rest of the vampire King's henchmen from the original timeline the star is named after the 17th card in a Tarot deck and represents renewed hope and inspiration for the future he likely named her this after finding her in the wreckage o

f the Mushroom War facilitating her survival and training her to follow in his soul sucking footsteps if you recall the VK himself is based on the 10th tarot card Wheel of Fortune which represents inevitable change in action and the idea that although you can't alter the force of change you can choose how to respond to it his other henchmen were the empress the hierophant the fool and the moon back in oo but in this universe his closest Ally is his adoptive daughter the star when Martin announce

s that the soup is ready Bonnie preemptively puts a gas mask on probably to protect herself from Bean farts but Fiona and Cake aren't the only ones excited about beans Baby World Finn crawls out of Fiona's backpack wearing his classic bear hat and it's both heartbreaking and adorable to see Martin interact with his son in this universe although he doesn't know that he's baby Fin's dad in Another Universe he instantly falls in love with this little cutie It's just sad to think about the fact fact

that in ooh Martin lost his memories of being Finn's dad and couldn't reconnect with him without being a jerk in that Universe without the traumatic brain injury Martin is actually a really sweet Dad I just wish that Arin got to know his pops as the person he is in Vampire world and I know you might be thinking wait wasn't Martin on Founders island in the main Universe why is he fighting Vamps and oo during this time period if you recall everything stays from the stakes miniseries Marceline was

responsible for defeating the hierophant and a butt ton of his vamp ampire minions allowing two bred Tom and his tribe to escape the continent before the vampire King's arrival in this universe Marcy encouraged the rise of the vampires and as Bonnie tells us later in the episode they've almost run out of humans to drain this means that it's highly unlikely that any humans were able to get out of Dodge before their souls were sucked let alone a large group of them I'd be very surprised if any of

the human Islands exist in this world but back to the bear hat over the past couple decades there's been a lot of speculation about the true origin of Finn's headwear in the season 5 episode little dude Finn tells Jake that he needs a new hat and Jake replies that they'll have to skin another evil bear to get one and if you're like how could baby Finn kill and skin an evil bear and have the sewing skills to make himself a cool hat just look at how proficient this kid is with tools and weapons h

e's like if Tommy Pickles kept a sword in his diaper instead of a screwdriver the second theory however is that Finn's hat could be the remains of his stuffed teddy bear from infanthood in season season six's Min and Marty we see Finn with a white stuffed bear and two episodes later in the visitor it pops up again it felt to me like these two episodes were trying to imply that he repurposed his favorite toy into a hat and it honestly seems just as plausible as the evil bear Theory definitely let

he girl we saw earlier hiding with the clove of garlic on her Noggin but something tells me it is scrabby gets a notification on his Crystal that the cosmic owl has committed the crime of profiteering but he hits the snooze button explaining to a cubed prismo that he's going to change his strategy instead of chasing these dudes all across the Multiverse he's going to find the wish Crown first and cut them off at the pass unfortunately his plans are bunked up when he's beamed up by the big boss f

or neglecting his god- aiting duties we'll come back to what he's up to in our episode 8 breakdown coming soon back in Vamp World Billy is dead his corpse Frozen in a seated position next to a sign that reads turn back Fiona and Martin jump out of the tank to rescue two humans but surprise they're just vampires in Disguise Martin rescues Fiona and when she tries to thank him he hands back her hat and says like I always say pay it forward to me this feels like an exact ju deposition of what he to

ld Finn back in the comet from season 6 you burn enough Bridges the only way to move is forward instead of screwing over everyone he meets for purely selfish gain like his variant from the OG series and distant lands this version of Martin sets an example of sacrificing himself to help those in need unfortunately the Star attacks wrecking pb's tank and sucking Martin's soul after Bonnie threatens to have her heart Simon explains that in his Universe the two of them actually fall in love and have

each other's hearts in a different way and I'm not going to lie it actually made me squeamish when Bonnie sliced a little Nick in Simon's throat Fiona and Cake volunteer to replace Martin and their Vampire Slayer crew and PB tosses her Martin's old jacket which we also see Fiona wearing in the opening credits while strategically placing garlic bombs Simon and Fiona over hear just how heartless the star is towards her minions Bonnie and human or magic life in general Simon is crestfallen but Fio

na reminds him that the Marceline in this universe didn't have him to raise her the marcelene we know doesn't even drink blood she's the reason why there wasn't a major vampire Uprising after the Mushroom War and that's because Simon helped instill Marcy with a sense of empathy Independence and love where the vampire King only taught her to hate and Destroy remember the beginning of episode 2 when little Marcy asked Simon what she would do without him he tells her that she's strong and awesome a

nd that someone would definitely find her and take care of her maybe even someone rich and that she'd be living in a castle with food and medicine and trained Squirrels In This Moment back in the main timeline I don't think Simon could have possibly known the difference he made not only to Marceline's childhood morals and development but to the entire world because Simon was her father figure she was able to grow into the badass Vampire Slayer that effectively made o happy able place to live for

generations of humans and magical creatures to come and although it drove him insane and turned him into the Ice King putting on the wish Crown really did save countless lives it allowed him to protect Marcy who would in turn go on to protect the land of oo we've seen how it works out in other realities too in farm world he chose to die stopping the mushroom wars bombs from detonating but that action later allowed farmor Finn to take the crown lose his marbles and unleash the Lich in the winter

King Universe he chose to fix the crown but in doing so he deflected The Madness of the crown directly into Princess Bubblegum's brain basket if Fiona cake and Simon hadn't come along she might have been trapped within the Crown's curse for eternity so again I know it's obviously not ideal that Simon went from a distinguished antiquarian and loving father figure to a total whack job in a Mumu who liked to stalk princesses in his free time but his sacrifice literally changed the original timelin

e for the better in every possible way it could have ooh isn't some perfect Utopia or anything but it's full of magic and Life and Adventures we wouldn't have the stories or the characters we love so much without Simon and the Ice King interestingly one of the garos that Fiona touches turns back into an ordinary clove of garlic just like the hot dog Knights or the wish Crown but that's not why their mission fails the VK catches Huntress trying to steal the crown and kills her with her own arrows

apparently like other incredibly powerful beings such as Gunter and Jake the VK can wear the wish Crown without it scrambling his brain the implied Mutual destruction of Bonnie and the star was yet another heartbreaking opposite parallel to the original series first off we have Marcy's number one Banger I'm Just Your Problem where she sings about putting Bonnie in the ground then when Bonnie removes Marceline's vampirism during Stakes she makes a call back to this and tells Marcy that someday w

hen she dies she'll be the one who puts her in the ground in that situation PB meant that she'll stay with her partner despite the fact that she'll eventually age and die without her Vamp powers and when the two of them think that they're about to die at the end of distant lands obsidian Marceline tells PB that at least their skeletons will be intertwined forever as the two of them lovingly Embrace here they're barreling towards their death still wrapped in each other's arms but this time it's o

ut of hatred well sort of hatred you can't tell me that they didn't hesitate to kill each other all those other times because they aren't secretly in love or at the very least subconsciously in love and here's something cool I saw on Twitter Twitter user at Cave Haag retweeted a drawing from Adventure Time artist Hannah K from all the way back in 2020 showcasing a very similar piece of art I'm not sure if Hannah Drew this knowing that it would be a future scene in this episode of Fiona and Cake

because the series technically wasn't announced until 2021 but I do know that animation takes a long time so I wouldn't be surprised if these preliminary drawings were already planned for the show by then if that's the case damn that was one hell of a spoiler and we didn't even know it but listen now it's time to get into the juicy Easter eggs from beplat town back in Fiona and cak's home world where Gary and Marshall attend Hannah abadier blood drive and charity ball when they first pull up to

Marshall's mom's goth Mansion peep the details on his van we've got a night cheese sticker that I'm choosing to believe is a 30 Rock reference a yolk sticker a bat on the van's Grill and a little hambo trinket hanging from the rearview mirror the Mansion itself reflects the same Vibe and Decor that huntson abadier had going on down in the night of spere at the blood drive we spot several gender swapped or normified characters from the original series not going to lie I spent like 3 hours trying

to figure out all of these references last night and then Steve wolfard posted most of them on Twitter this morning so that definitely made me laugh at myself a little happy to say I got most of them right but there were a couple that I definitely thought were entirely different characters so I'm glad Steve set me straight first up we've got Normie bellan noce who even has a little BN on his suit if you recall bellan noce was a being of pure anti-magic who has the power to remove Magic from othe

r beings from season 5's Betty episode Normie magic man is apparently a photographer in this universe and we see her chatting with and taking photos of gender swapped Normie Ron James Ron James first appeared in season 5's Wizards Only Fools as the owner of his own spell Palace where he sold magical items and bottled spells but popped up several times in other Ice King Wizard Gang episodes including the one with bellan noce in Wizard City he's moved on from his retail days as the master of magic

al items in Magic arts in that same photo we've also got ricardio the heart guy from his titular episode in season 1 he actually turned out to be Simon's creepy evil pee's obsessed heart from a spell gone wrong and ended up in dead world one with the worst of the worst in together again next to his mascot variant is Normie Carol who was originally introduced as a cloud person in season 6 is the tower in later episode Carol becomes both an ice person and a water Carol's also seen standing with ge

nder swapped human Samantha the dog person from season 5's the pit and gender swapped human tiny Manor who was introduced after being kidnapped by Magic Man in season 4's Son of Mars we later see Normie tiny manticor talking to the gender swapped variant of gridface princess now here's one of the cameos I missed I thought that this waiter was supposed to be the worm due to his head shape and vacant eyes but I knew that his beard had to mean something it turns out he's the Fuzzy Friend who got hi

s soul sucked by huntson abadier in season 2os it came from the nightosphere which makes way more sense because fuzzy friends are the exact shape of that facial hair again we see the lemon carbs and their lemon dog who we already know are based on the lemon grabs and their lemon camel but we also have Normie zergio The Jerk Goblin King obsessed with Dolan out spankings who first appeared in season 2's the silent King although wolfart didn't include this drawing in his tweet my money is on this g

uy being the gender swapped Normie version of Dr princess beside him is the demon prison guard from season 4's return to the nightosphere and at the end of the line we have gender swapped Normy variants of Bandit princess and kot kot is the other character that I totally got wrong I thought that it was the fire jester from incendium but n it's Kio The Blood Demon who first appeared in season 3's dad dungeon as the creator of the demon sword wolfart didn't post who this blonde character is but ba

sed on her hair color I'm going to go with gender swapped human James Baxter the hor horse the base player in this scene is the teller demon from Return to the nightosphere his Normy tie matches the pattern on his demon counterpart sweater the two Rich investors who approach Gary are Marjo hellstrom and his publicist who are based on Maja the sky witch and her familiar the crabbit lastly we see that eart is still a Pianist in this world we first met him back in season 1's henchmen when Marceline

drank the red out of his bow tie if anyone else figured out who the other background characters are drop them in the comments below I want to know who I miss each of these guests are here to support Mrs abid's cause except for Marshall who is very over his mom's Rich ass lifestyle when she introduces herself to Gary she does a lot of leg kickys and moves in an extremely jerky manner just like her variant hunson abadier her bowo tie is also in the shape of hunson demon forms bulbous Noggin she's

decorated her cool goth house and blood drive posters that say things like it's raining blood be my blood Bud invest in Blood and let's get bloody also peep Gary and Marshall's outfits in this scene they're taken from the 2007 Spooktacular special of the Adventure Time comic series but although Gary and Marshall look adorable in their fancy suits Gary realizes that Mrs abider is putting way too much pressure on her son to join the family business kind of like hunson and Marcy's relationship in

the same way that Simon yelled at the vampire King for being a shitty dad Gary tells Hannah she's a bad mom and the two of them decide to bail they hop in the elevator and share their first kiss and ending the episode in the cutest sweetest most satisfying way possible the way that Gary connects to and empathizes with Marshall's feelings towards his mom's control is the opposite of what we see between Bonnie and the star to be fair that's definitely because Marshall wasn't brainwashed by his mom

to be a soul sucking landlord and the star was raised by a literal monster who encouraged her to murder but I love the symbolism that in both cases they're going down together whether that's leaving a stuffy rich people party in an elevator while they make out a little or were plummeting to their deaths because they couldn't find Common Ground the end title card this week shows Marceline's house from the original series in red hanging upside down like a vampire bat in a cave these are all the E
