(electronic music) - [Brennan] Hey, gang. Brennan Lee Mulligan here. We've heard a lot of questions from fans about what they needed to watch or remember in order to enjoy our new season, "Dimension 20, The Seven"! - [All] Hi, heroic high schoolers! - [Brennan] Which is, of course, set in the world of Fantasy High and features a number of characters from Fantasy High seasons one and two. - Hello, intrepid adventurers, heroes. Fuck. (woman laughing) - [Brennan] The answer? Nothing! This season is
designed to be basically self-contained. Right from the get go, you'll be introduced to the characters, their shared history, and their personalities in a way that will make sense to fans new and old alike, without really spoiling any significant plot threads from Fantasy High seasons one or two, except for the things directly involving the seven maidens. - Kalvaxis is here. He's a giant dragon. - [Brennan] So here you go. In the summer before Fantasy High season one, Danielle Barkstock, Katja
Cleaver, Antiope Jones and Penny Luckstone all go missing without explanation. The only ones looking for them were Riz Gutgak, who Penny babysat for. - Girls all went to the school. - [Brennan] Yes, they all went to Aguefort. - And that's the clue (chuckling) that I have. - [Brennan] And Corsica Jones, Antiope's older sister, who took a teaching job at the Aguefort Adventuring Academy in order to snoop around. - I'm asking what you, Ms. Jones, thinks. - I like it and it's a good idea. - [Brennan
] Soon after school starts, popular girl, Penelope Everpetal's best friend, Sam Nightingale, is put into a palimpsest by her boyfriend, Johnny Spells, who, reminder, does not fuck. - These guys have a girl trapped in a crystal. - Yeah. - I don't think. - Oh, yeah, that's scary. - [Brennan] The bad kids are able to retrieve the palimpsest and kill Johnny Spells, but can't figure out how to get Sam out. Later in the school year, Ostentatia Wallace was trapped in a palimpsest by Adaine's sister, Ae
lwyn Abernant, at a party, and shortly after that, Gorgug's girlfriend, Zelda Donovan. - Hi, I'm Zelda. - Listen, as long as you're not Aelwyn Abernant, we're fucking friends. - [Brennan] But why would these seven young women be taken prisoner? The bad kids soon figured it out when they came across a prophecy that stated that the defeated emperor of the Red Waste, Kalvaxis, could only rise again once several conditions were met. War breaks out in the realm, a king and queen are crowned anew in S
olace and Kalvaxis once again beholds his treasure, and finally, seven maidens are chained at the mouth of his lair. - [Woman] Then will the emperor of the Red Waste be released from bondage. His destruction will know no bounds, the sun shall fall from the heavens, and the world as we know it shall perish forever. - The maidens we're rescued by Fig's mom, Sandra Lynn, right before prom and returned to prom to help murder Kalvaxis. Sadly, they arrived too late to help kill Kalvaxis' allies, Dane
Blade and Penelope Everpetal, who were already dead and had been banished to the nine pits of hell. The seven maidens then became an adventuring party of their own despite being split between multiple grades. - I love it here! - [Brennan] And that's it! Mostly. They also went on a quest the following year to destroy some dormant eggs left by Kalvaxis at the Red Waste, but otherwise, mostly supported Zelda through her rough patch with Gorgug in Fantasy High season two. But if you're worried about
remembering the specific personalities and histories of each character in those seasons, don't worry about it! The characters are all given a complete overhaul by the new players, except I'm still playing Zelda, me, Brennan. So, Zelda's pretty much exactly as you would remember her. - Just like (indistinct). Like. (woman laughing) Moshing by herself a little bit. - [Brennan] Regardless of how much of Fantasy High you have or have not watched, you are ready to enjoy "Dimension 20, The Seven." Bl
ing bing, baby! I love you. (women cheering) - That's a bling bing, baby! - Bling bing, bitch. - (chuckling) I totally bling binged.

@dimension20show

Hey all! We've heard from a few people that they weren't sure if they had the needed knowledge to watch Dimension 20: The Seven - either they hadn't seen Fantasy High, or they'd only seen season 1, or they'd seen all of it but couldn't remember enough details about the Seven Maidens. Hopefully this video helps give you the info you need!

@erroneousfax9351

It's incredibly important that you remember Johnny spells does not fuck.

@Norway604

"The Seven contains no spoilers for Fantasy High except [entire main plot of season 1]"

@boonegrigsby

This whole series has been incredible, and has been the starting point for me to be the dm for my friends.

@USMCRonin

This show is why I started playing DnD. I’ve binge watched nearly every season. My favorite is crown of candy so far

@liamross340

yeah i’d say if you want to watch fantasy high and haven’t yet and care about spoilers watch season 1 of fantasy high first it’s all on this youtube channel for free and then you can watch the seven just because their backstory is mainly explored in the finale and it kind of revolves around a spoiler. but if you just want to get to know the characters first don’t bother they were all pretty minor characters

@brittanybertolin8859

I love Izzy Roland and BLM'S chemistry it's awesome. So glad to see Izzy's fiance get some spotlight as well

@pedramcq

One of, if not, the BEST season of Dimension 20. Honestly, I just love Dimension 20 in general. My fav seasons being Fantasy High, Escape from the Blood Keep, Mice & Murder & The Seven <3

@Firegen1

This was a great way to deal with an emerging problem. Definitely a great idea for side quests. Also The Seven Rulesss!

@mrcurtain5702

It's a really minor part of this video but it's cool to get some insight into things like Antiope's sister that went unexplored because of player decisions, I'd love to see more stuff like that get talked about in the future. Haven't had time to watch the Seven yet but it looks really good and this video was a great refresher beforehand!👍

I had been a fan of College Humor for many years and while I was tempted by Um Actually I did not want to join another streaming service just for that. Then I saw the 12-hour video of the first several episodes of fantasy high. I did not think that I would ever watch a video that long but I put it on to have something in the background while I cleaned. Shortly thereafter my cleaning is abandoned and half the day is gone as I have watched the whole video in one go. I ended up joining dropout that day in order to continue and it has been the streaming service I have most enjoyed. It has made me laugh, cry, surprised me when something happens that I did not expect, and made me angry when the PCs missed out on something I thought was obvious. This latest season is one of the best I have ever seen specifically for the Role Playing and not as much for the combat. I try every week to let a few episodes build-up but every week I just have to watch as it comes out. I don't know what I am going to do on the 13th when I am in the hospital. I guess I will have to hope that the wifi is good enough. Hey, whatever happened to Tony's wife at the end of Unsleeping City season 2. You all just skipped over her when you got Iga back. My cannon is that Nod kept the other two inside himself until after the fight and that 2 other Vox Populi were chosen to even it out like the Rabbi. As a final act of revenge, Emily introduced his wife to Cody and they hook up with Lucifer using that fact to torture Tony in Hell. Thanks for an amount of laughter only exceeded by Amy in Breaking News.

@Greening83

I would love for you guys to do something in the same vein as a crown of candy. The fact that we lost characters and the odds were stacked against them was really refreshing. Also blood keep was fucking awesome

@Mg-ev3uc

I LOVE this series with a passion. The energy of all women (plus Brennan obviously) at the table is just incredible and they all have their own flavor and creativity and bring SO much individually as well as playing off of each other’s energy and I just really love it. It makes me smile from ear to ear the whole time I’m watching. They’re also just so supportive of each other, like there’s still tension between characters but you just KNOW they’re ride or die without hesitation and I’m here for it.

@Zanza__

We simply love to see some nice, quality, concise, clarifying tactical information. This is one of the best seasons of D20 yet, and I hope as many people watch it as possible, because it absolutely slaps. Hard.

@andrewfera5414

The worldbuilding setup for Fantasy High and The Seven has been so good.

@BlackShadow1991

I think this type of sort-of recap videos is very nice and reassuring for any fans who might be getting into watching the D20 stuff :D

@ryuj7693

this was super helpful as i've never watched fantasy high and was confused about the time skip from the mountain halfway through episode one.

@NymphWitchVamp

This series is my favorite so far! Usually I have a clear favorite character through out a campaign but this time I have a really difficult time because they are all amazing!

@charlesberg1234

I'm new to dimension 20. Escape from the bloodkeep hooked me Just got dropout. I'm now on fantasy high season 2. A bit devastated I can't get a boggy the froggy shirt. But I've been loving the content.

@PixelLighthouse

This season is where I love the after show as much as the actual show.
