This is so wonderful, I have never felt more sympathy for Gorgug, you captured the exact energy of "this kid walks up and decks you in the stomach for no reason"
I love how Fabian got shit on in this scene. He hit the poor kindhearted half-orc for no reason thinking he was a beast and got hit back *EXACTLY* twice as hard. Beautiful
A fantasy high animatic in this day and age!? I love this sm, I just finished a rewatch of the series too so the timing is amazing. I love the way you draw their character honestly goal 😭
oh my gosh i love everything about this like fabian’s eyelashes, how short kristen is, how clear everything is drawn, fig’s little tail just waaaa i love them so much this is fantastic
i love this so much!! i love seeing fabian and gorgug being eye level w each other because fabian has such perfect posture and gorgug is just, slouching so low. you've got their body language and movements down pat and it's SO cute and funny!
Zac's timing every time Gorgug goes into a rage is SO good and you captured it so friggin well!! All the characters are so cute, I love your style I love this!!!
This entire scene always managed to make me feel so bad for Gorgug and then immediately gets me with the one-two punch of the chaos that ensues right after
fabian looks so smug and pretty boy in this i cannot get over it its truly peak character design. everything about the mannerisms and how you draw these guys is fantastic and i love it and im always stoked to see more fantasy high animatics :]
And then, if I remember correctly, Adaine walks in very uncertainly and sees immediately a brutish fist fight.
Fabian doing the “Put up your dukes!” pose is everything to me, this entire animatic is a wonderful treasure ♥️
This is probably the canon artstyle of Fantasy High to me. I love how everyone looks. The way it's a bit cartoony while keeping good proportions. This is great.

It’s so incredible to see the arc of these characters over two seasons; Gorgug at his lowest slowly gaining more confidence, and Fabian being [almost] completely humbled by the events on Leviathan. I remember crying during that scene in Sophomore Year where Gorgug and Fabian help each other climb that massive spire, help Baxter, and feel their bond solidified. After meeting like this, fighting on their first day, to becoming like brothers though adversity… OH and can’t forget when the Bad Kids™ got tattoos of the metal flower :’)

Love the line work in this, it’s so smooth and soft-looking. Also I love how cute Kristen looks in this. I feel like a lot of people draw the bad kids as older, but they’re really just babies!! They’re all like 14!
