content! As the movie commences our protagonist, Brian,
is seen covered in blood and running behind two cars, Blue and the orange one, engaged
in a drive-by shootout. As the blue car gets rid of the orange car
by killing the gang members inside, Brian picks up a rod and waits for the blue car
to approach him. As the car gets closer, Brian attacks and
breaks the windshield thus drawing the attention of the gang m
embers. He manages to escape and leads their car into
a horrible accident. Brian is injured when a gang member, Playa
comes out and shoots him. Playa aims at him while Brian lies helpless
before him. Playa takes no chances and shoots Brian in
the neck. Later, Brian is seen being taken for emergency
treatment when his wife, Saya arrives. She is concerned about her two most important
losses in a single day and cries in agony. One day later, Brian’s condition gets stable
and Det. Dennis Vassel visi
ts him and drops his card
after finding Saya asleep. A few days past, Brian reopens his eyes and
panics while Saya summons the nurse. Brian’s health improves with each passing
day but he realizes he has lost his voice as the bullet has damaged his vocal cord. Saya buys an electrolarynx for him but Brian
is maddened and breaks it. After his discharge from hospital, Saya takes
him home when Brian spots many antipolice and gang slogans on his way home. After they reach their home, Brian gets emotio
nal
and gets a flashback of the day when he returned from his work and was warmly welcomed by his
son, Taylor. He visualizes himself playing with Taylor
and cries after not seeing him there. He enters his house and cries looking at the
Christmas tree and the gifts for Taylor. He loses his calm and finds the paper, reporting
the news of how Taylor was killed by a stray bullet during the gang war shown at the beginning
of the movie. Brian requests Saya to help him but she doesn’t
know how to do it
. As the time passes, Saya has overcome her
grief but Brian is still mourning his son’s demise and after she has left for office,
he visits Taylor’s room. He imagines Taylor lying next to him and after
his hallucinations end, he is in pain again. He sits in lawn and recalls the day when he
was playing with Taylor and they were all happy until the drive-by cars arrived shooting
at each other and killed Taylor, thus turning their world upside down. He regains his senses, gives up on his drinking
h
abit and determines to do something to avenge Taylor’s death. Suddenly, Saya returns and notices him ignoring
her texts. Brian visits Det. Vassel’s office and by the time he is waiting,
he spots the list of many gang members involved in different crimes along with their pictures. He captures their pictures in his phone and
identifies Playa. He returns to his workshop and after placing
the pictures of all gang members, he assigns himself to kill them all by 24th December,
the same day Taylor died
. He starts working out, trains hard to prepare
himself for the fight. He practices to master knife combat while
Saya is concerned for him. Brian buys an illegal Ferrari from his friend
and starts practicing using pistol. On his first day, he misses all the shots. At home, he works to improve the safety inside
his car and the noises disturb Saya a lot. He buys a lot of guns and after that he sends
Saya away from him as he cannot risk her life. After Saya has left, he takes out all his
rage on a
dummy after which he rehearsals dangerous driving in a secluded place. After a few months, he spies on Playa’s
place and captures the pictures of his men involved in many illegal activities. There, he spots a suited man, Anthony, leaving
with a package and captures his car’s numberplate. Brian has mastered the guns within a short
time and has gotten his body in perfect shape for his revenge. One day, Brian is at a superstore when he
misinterprets a kid as Taylor and hugs him but the kid’s mother
takes him away. As he returns to his car, Brian is stunned
to see Playa before him and decides to kill him. Unfortunately, he has to stop as Playa is
surrounded by many kids. Brian has no other option to wait for the
perfect time and controls himself after Playa’s girlfriend bullies him. In the evening, Brian has lost his calm and
decides to start his revenge from Anthony. He breaks into his house and as Anthony senses
his presence, Brian knocks him out. Upon opening his eyes, Anthony finds him
self
hanging in Brian’s workshop. He lets him down and gives a list of questions
to answer but Anthony denies. Brian threatens him and as he sits in front
of him, Anthony gets a chance and frees himself. The duo engages in a tough fight but Brian
overpowers Anthony and makes faint. The next day, Brian prepares for his final
task and writes a letter for Saya. He visits her house and is delighted to see
her happy. Then, he pays a final visit to Taylor’s
grave with his favorite train toy and spends
sometime with him. At night, Vassel hears a knock at his door
and finds Anthony and a letter waiting for him. After getting Anthony arrested, Det. Vassel checks the letter and finds a message
and a drive for him. Upon checking, he finds all the information
against Playa’s gang and their network and is shocked to see this all. At the same time, Brian hears a transmission
reporting a crime and waits for the culprits to get free. After they are done robbing the innocent couple,
Brian attacks and k
ills one of them while the other climbs on his car’s roof. He attempts to kill Brian but gets shot instead. Brian chops off his fingers and sends them
to Playa to start a gang war. His plan works and he reaches a place where
Playa’s men are engaged in a gang war against his rivals and police. He spots an innocent policewoman who gets
shot in her leg and to save her starts killing Playa’s men. Meanwhile, one of them records his video and
sends it to Playa. He checks the video and regrets his life
choices
after seeing Brian and recalling how he shot him. Brian attempts to save the policewoman but
fails as she gets killed while getting inside his car. He spots Playa’s man recording his video
and hits him with his car. Brian gets his phone and sends a clip while
killing him. The scene cuts to a contractor, Ruiz, who
gets the contract to kill Brian for 5 thousand dollars. Ruiz spots him leaving the place and finishes
his first task. Brian is driving away when he finds Ruiz and
his men on hi
s tail. He tries to escape but reaches an ally blocked
by Playa’s men. He shoots them and makes his way out. After a shootout, Brian gets rid of Ruiz by
leading his car into an accident. After that, a biker attacks him but Brian
kills him. Playa is sick of waiting and orders his men
to return to him while he has fun with his teenage girlfriend. At the same time, Vassel is seen outside Playa’s
hideout and prepares to attack. Brian reads Playa’s messages and before
they may lock the building he en
ters and kills his men after destroying his bike and the
car parked next to it. He fights all the men inside the building
and with each killing, he gets closer to Playa. He reaches a place where Ruiz attacks him,
revealing that he survived the accident. Ruiz appears to be a tough opponent for Brian
but in the end, Brian blows his head open. In the meantime, Det. Vassel enters the building and gets attacked
but he kills them all. Vassel finds Brian and the duo pointing guns
at each other but they
decide to team up. As they move ahead, Playa’s girlfriend opens
fire at them using an SMG and injures them both after they try to shoot her. Brian sneaks and takes her at gunpoint after
she runs out of bullets but he cannot kill her due to her innocence. Still, the girl gets her gun and shoots him
twice. She spots Vassel and makes two more bullet
holes in his body. Brian is infuriated and shoots her in the
head. He enters Playa’s room but at that time
he has been weakened a lot. Playa shoots hi
m thrice but the bullets hit
his vest. Brian is sitting helpless before him again
but this time, Vassel saves him. Brian chokes and kills Playa with his bare
hands to avenge his son’s untimely demise. After completing his revenge, Brian lies on
the ground while Vassel accompanies him. Brian visualizes his days spent with Taylor
and imagines him growing young. Suddenly, the screen gets dark, leaving us
all uncertain about Brian and Vassel’s future, and the scene cuts to Saya. Saya is seen at Tayl
or’s grave where she
spots his last letter showing his love for them and mentioning that he wants to die trying
to fix everything and the movie ends here.
