hello my sweet beautiful friends so today I
am gonna start filming some of my like fall and winter like fashion related videos that I
love doing um today I'm gonna share with you how I style um like my thrifted men's
sweaters just giving you outfit ideas um some of the amazing things that I found at the
thrift store to maybe encourage you to shop second hand um I'm also going to show you in another
video how I style um different ways I style my flannels I'm also gonna do all kinds of stuff
like maybe showing you how I style like my boots all kinds of stuff I'm excited to do so I'm going
to call this like my warm and cozy videos because sweaters are so warm and cozy and it's my favorite
time of year to wear sweaters obviously you can't wear them in the summer but you know what I mean
it's not my favorite time of the year I don't love the coal but I do love the clothes we get to wear
I like bundling up so rule of thumb for me is that I would prefer you can always take clothes o
ff
you can't put them on if you're out and about so I always layer and that way if I become warm
I can take things off I would prefer to do that then suffer and be freezing so if you're new to

like I said I
have been secondhand shopping for quite a while now um obviously it's so funny
to me because growing up and if anybody can relate definitely let me know there was such a stigma
around shopping at Walmart shopping at Kmart shopping at second hand hand-me-downs there was
always such a terrible stigma and now it's like Walmart's one of the top places to get awesome
clothes now and through you are like really cool if You Secondhand shop and it just feels like it's
come full circle I love it my
daughter loves it and it just makes me feel good that that name
brand Isn't So shoved down your throat anymore so I don't have as many sweaters as I thought
for some reason I thought I had a lot more but I haven't thrifted in a long time I haven't
found a really good thrift store up by me I haven't been to the ones by my grandmother in
a while I was there and found a couple summer stuff about a month ago but nothing good quite
yet but these I've found over the years I'll give you the name o
f the brands I I don't
know if you'll be able to find them but I'm just giving you examples of what you can find and
then I'm going to show you how I like styling them so I am never particular about where I shop in
the thrift stores I'll go in the men's section it's one of the first places I actually look
um I look in even in the Juniors the kids you just never know especially if it's a little um if
it's not quite as organized but the men's section is great all of these sweaters were under
ten
dollars most of them are from a department store and I just absolutely love them and they are
a staple and like a roundabout in my wardrobe for winter and they're great layering pieces so
I'm Gonna Save my favorite for last so the very first one is like a real these are all found in
the men's section but to me it's so ridiculous close to me are unisex like you can wear whatever
makes you happy and whatever you want but I guess technically speaking these were found in the
men's section
so this is from signature Studios and at my husband really wears this mostly but
I do love it um but it's just your typical like Grandpa cardigan now I don't love Cardigans but
this one is gorgeous the color is gorgeous my husband wears it a lot I wear it I love it and I
love the detail in the buttons like I said these were all between eight and ten dollars I don't
know the price right now because a lot of these I bought two three years ago but I want to show you
what you can do if maybe yo
u have an old sweater sit in your closet whatever that case may be this
is one of my favorite ones because I absolutely love the color this was eight dollars I remember
because it was such a steal and the brand is um Ralph Lauren Champs extra large and like I said
I found this in the men's section I love love love this green it is so perfect for this time of the
year going into the holiday season my only issue and maybe I'm sure my grandmother could fix the
problem for me but maybe someone
knows other than tailoring it the only problem I have is a lot of
times the like the cuff is very wide and I have to end up rolling it because it's just uncomfortable
for me um that's the only problem I run across it's not a huge deal because I definitely can
roll and make do with it but I love this sweater it is so oversized it's so big and worn in and
soft and comfortable and I know that the Ralph Lauren goes for really really expensive and
I believe this was ten eight or ten dollars it w
as an amazing fine and this one was from an
Etc shop so it is the hospital's thrift store this wasn't a men's section it
doesn't necessarily mean it was men's but it does appear that there is no um no TI No Tag with the brand so what it is
I don't even know how the heck there had to have been a tag at some point but it
is this beautiful like um what color would this be like a a camel caramel color brown it's gorgeous
it's this like high neck not quite a turtleneck um just beautiful sweater
it is so
pretty as a layering piece it is so good for this time of the year and the
color is what I love it's just this like I don't know what you would describe this I don't
know why I'm having such a hard time like a brain fart about the color because I know what color
this is it's like okay so I pause the video and Googled it is like a camel brown it's gorgeous
and I love styling this sweater in particular now this one's one of my favorites and again that
was like eight or ten dollars t
his one's from Columbia it's a large I love this wine color
I do I think it's stunning I love the mixed pattern where it's kind of woven up here and then
there's just your typical like sweater pattern this is where I have a lot of trouble with this
one this one has extremely like worn in worn out um sleeves so what I had done was I had gone
in with some hemming tape thinking that it would help but I think I just made the problem
a little worse so what I do with this one is I usually roll it
up or I cuff it but I just
love this like just this like Merlot color um it's just beautiful and again it's soft
and worn in and I just really really love this sweater so last but not least is
my literal absolutely favorite sweater if I could I'd probably wear it more than
twice a week but I try to wear like once a week it's an extra large or a 1X so when it
says 1X I would assume that's women's but it was found in the men's section but
I'm going to show you anyway and the brand is Pro Pr
otege prostage I don't know this is one of
my favorite finds I don't know why I love this sweater so much it is just like a one-of-a-kind
find it's like my perfect Grandpa sweater I love this one I wear it so much all winter long it's
so heavy and you can style it with leggings and jeans I just love this fine this was an amazing
find one of my favorites and I hope to have it for you know a long long time like a lifetime
piece I love this sweater so I'm gonna change into something and show y
ou how I like styling
some of these I don't know maybe I'll just try them all on for you but I'm going to show you
how I typically style my big oversized so this is the very first sweater I wanted to show my
favorite as you can see it is oversized it's long it's comfortable my favorite look in the winter
is an oversized sweater with leggings or fall and a pair of high socks I'm so
glad high socks are back in I've always loved accessorizing with socks weird
thing I know but this is one of m
y favorite outfits so I'm going to pull you down so
you can see the entire thing excuse my air purifier um but yes this would be the entire
outfit so easy to wear so cute all you would need is a little pair of boots or a pair of UGGs
or slip-ons whatever and this is perfect I feel like you're put together it's so cute so
easy to wear and I love these socks from Target they came in a three pack for seven dollars
and this is one of my favorite favorite looks this sweater is so warm you don't
even need
a layering aspect to it maybe just throw on a light jacket over it but like I said
you can find such great things second hand um whether you do online shopping like um
Poshmark or depop I think they are check out their plus size section it's incredible and men's
clothes I noticed run a little bit bigger than women so I have a lot of luck in the men's section
especially for men's button-ups um let me show you so like this in particular I have this in blue
and this in white this is
a size 18. it's Ann Taylor so I don't know if it's woman women's
or men's but it was in the men's section these were so affordable I think they were like five
bucks six bucks they don't button on me they're way too small to button on me but they look really
really nice over like a t-shirt of a similar color or a similar tone so things like this in the men's
section are incredible basics for your wardrobe to Vamp up a t-shirt um Vamp up a blouse a turtleneck
I think these are really really
good and you can buy them so affordable second hand so let me try
the next outfit on for you okay you guys so I put on my turtleneck very very carefully because
I have makeup on so this is gonna be a little um confession I love turtlenecks because I am
very self-conscious about my um double chin so if I could wear turtlenecks every single day in
the winter and fall months I would but sometimes I don't have that option but they just make me feel
so comfortable and so secure and I just feel l
ike they just make you look smart and I love how you
can just style them any way you want they are so versatile so let's just get on to this one okay so
this um particular Brown I love this brown color it's like a true Brown is from boohoo and this is
the thrifted sweater so I'm going to pull you down so you can see it and I paired it with a pair of
jeans so I just had to kind of embrace the belly it's just what it is this is one of my favorite
favorite looks let me pull you down a little m
ore so you can really really see I would wear
shapewear with this I don't have shaper on today just for comfortable they get uncomfortable
changing in and out so I don't have shapewear on today it is what it is but I would wear
something that would tuck me in a little bit more but this is what I would wear with this
these jeans are from TJ Maxx they were 20 bucks they are a women's 16 and this would
be one of my go-to's in the winter I love this believe it or not I would also style this
wi
th sweatpants so it was a little more casual but I still could go out to luncheon whatever but
this is how I would style this particular sweater um I kind of like the contrast contrast of
the brown and the darker blue I know not everybody would but I kind of love it but you
could definitely go black white or even gray um those are the only color turtlenecks that I've
really been able to find over the years but you certainly could do whatever makes you comfortable
and I just feel like this i
s a smart look it feels put to together and I would wear a pair of flats
like a pair of mules with it or even a pair of boots whatever you want but I usually go with
mules I just like the way they look on women I think they're feminine and gorgeous and they kind
of look sexy on the feet but yes this is what I would go for with this particular sweater I really
really enjoy this it's cozy you're still wearing jeans but you're still very very comfortable so
let me try on what I would do as a l
ayering piece with this because technically this is layering but
as an undershirt I should say so with this green um I believe this one is the Ralph Lauren
sweater I would probably prefer to wear black or gray or white under it I don't know
if I love let me know what you think the brown and the green together but it doesn't look bad
but as you can see this one is super oversized so typically until I can figure out how to fix
the sleeves I would absolutely roll these up like this but then it
's like a little bulky
so like it's not my favorite but it's not bad so I'm going to pull you down and show you the
whole look I kept the jeans on but you certainly could do leggings you could do a pair of slacks
would look really really nice a pair of khakis like the green and the Khaki together would
look really nice but this one in particular is very very oversized I think it's only an extra
large but it's definitely been worn in it's just your mom in the 90s and I am here living for it
you could style this like pull it in the front give yourself a little more shape you certainly
could tuck in the sides if you wanted a little more shape I pre in particular kind of just like
it baggy and comfortable it's just such a good sweater and they're just worn in already they're
not itchy they're soft they've been washed and I just love secondhand stuff you could do a lot
with this this would look great with leggings it's a great Christmas sweater you could do like
a vest over it li
ke a Christmas vest it's just such a good piece and I love having it it is very
very oversized but that's like the fun part about it it's just super duper comfortable and obviously
you can Envision this with leggings it would look stunning and great so I have the last two that I'm
going to show you and I will be right back I'm not going to keep this under the purple because I
don't know what brown and I mean I guess that Merlot would go fine with the brown because
they're kind of in the sam
e family of color but I'm going to take it off and kind of just
show you okay so I tried on the camel one I haven't worn this in a long time and I don't
know why it's so soft and comfortable and I think it's like such a flattering color for my
skin tone I kind of really really love this one um and I like it better with jeans I don't
know if I would wear this one in particular with leggings but definitely not let me know what
your opinion is but this is just I have the same jeans on I feel l
ike this is a great outfit just
an oversized camel sweater it is perfect for this time of the year it's really really nice but as
you can see it isn't as wide here on the bottom so I don't know if I would be comfortable
in leggings as much as I am in jeans with it I think this would look nice with khakis as
well so yeah it's just a really really nice sweater I love this one and I definitely will be
pulling this out you'll see this a lot in probably outfits of the days um I haven't worn this
in a
long time and I'm really feeling it and I think it looks nice with my hair color I do really like
this one so I have one more to show you and then we will wrap this up I am like I said gonna do
a separate video on my styling of my flannels I can also do turtlenecks if you would like
um and I'm going to show you I have a ton of like boots like booties that I want to
show um I don't know if I've ever done that I know I've showed like my sandals and some
I don't even know if I've showed
my sneakers but um I definitely will like like to show you a
lot of my booties because they're just really fun to style so let me show you the last sweater
and we will end this okay so this is the last sweater that I want to show you and it is kind
of the least favorite out of the bunch mostly because the sleeves are just so big as you can
see I tried to do something here and I thought it would be more like that and I don't know what
I was thinking so I'm just gonna cuff these over to show
you I just feel like I don't look great in
purples of any kind from lavender all the way up to like a deep wine purple I just don't feel like
they're flattering on me same with pinks and Blues um they just have to be very very specific for
me otherwise I just feel like they're not very flattering but this is the sweater I love the
neckline that I do love but I'm going to pull you down and show you I did put on leggings with
this one this I just something about it feels um not as flattering
as the other ones I don't
know if it's the shape as you can see it kind of just accentuates my belly and I don't love it so I
would definitely need shapewear and probably jeans wear a pair of jeans with this one it is a very
nice sweater but out of all of them it's not my favorite it just is a very weird cut so it's just
very clingy in the middle but it's still nice and this is how I would just style it easy with a pair
of leggings definitely needs shapewear but it's not it's I mean it's n
ot terrible it's just not
the most flattering of the bunch brings me to the end of today's video I hope this made you warm and
cozy gave you some good ideas to maybe pull out some of your husbands oversized sweaters or maybe
go thrift and check out the men's section you can find amazing things these are amazing sweaters I
