so many moments Tim Howard what will be his legacy his legacy will be that he's quite simply the man that brought Glory back to Liverpool Football Club uh when I went over to the Premier League I heard about all the greatness and and and the the Mystique of Liverpool but everything I saw was grainy footage it was all older it was 70s and 80s and 90s and it and it couldn't figure it out they couldn't quite Crack the Code of the Premier League and I understood how famous the club was I understood
the gravitas that anfield had when you walked in whether I was a Manchester United player or an Everton player but they couldn't find it they just couldn't find it they hired managers they fired manag they overspent on players they didn't have the right system and then klopp walks through the door and He restored the glory that um that only Liverpool Football Club could understand and it's pretty special Rob yeah it's a great Point by Tim all of all of Liverpool's greatness was in the past and h
e's brought it back to to the Future Rebecca and Liverpool have always had great players but they never had great teams he's recreated a winning culture back into the football club what's his legacy his legacy is heavy metal football will be forever known as a style of football that he B to this to this football club to this league and won a title I've got gagan press was a new word gag press what's that all about the counter press to win the ball backl in the opposition's half was something he
brought brought to the football club I've talked about the hugging nobody hug managers hug now players when my day a quick pat on the back and you move on the other thing I've got is is the the personality the relationship that he's had with that the fist pumps the the the grins the teeth grinds the facial expressions the personality that is the Legacy that he's left and the Premier League is a poorer place for Jurgen klopp leaving Tim we've talked about before the Legacy what will be the legacy
of Pep Guardiola in terms of the effect he's had on English football you see teams you know in the local dog and duck P who's trying to play out from the back right what do you think we talked about Gan press and heavy metal football what do you think the legacy on English football will be from Yen klopp well just that I mean it's such a special way of playing um teams do it differently now of course as as you just mentioned but no one quite does it like Liverpool the the high press the the the
Midfield three and then the front three and all talented players across the across the pitch the fullbacks flying forward like there are there are iterations that but no one quite does it the way rbie Earl described it and when I think of klopp as well a lot of managers come through the door but very few leave as as figureheads and when you think of Paisley and shank shankley and um dag leash pep Sir Alex Ferguson vanger those are figureheads of football clubs and it's more than just wins and l
osses and that's who he is lovely stuff so for more on their reflections of the Jurgen klopp era let's take you back then don't forget they're at the Emirates ahead of Arsenal against Liverpool a little bit later on Lee Graham alongside John Champion chaps yeah and um it it just strikes as that there's an interesting comparison to be made between the current Liverpool Liverpool 2.0 as Jurgen klopp has now christened them very appropriately and Liverpool 1.0 which was the side that four years ago
was winning the Premier League and five years ago the the Champions League um we'll drill down into the figures and and the strikers and the Midfield units but on the face of it which is the better team in your mind I know that team achieved things and this one hasn't yet but where do you stand on that well when you look at mané firmino and Salah you just think they're just you know incredible Strike Force I think where they've improved as a group is the five I think the mean the average of the
quality of the players that they've got in there air that can rotate they're not quite as reliant on Salah for instance now as they were back then and and he's been missing for the last few weeks and they haven't missed a beat so I think that the the squad Evolution and the quality of that Squad that keeps that continuity which is all important if you're going to put up a title challenge um I think has been the big Improvement and that version of from Liverpool 1.0 to 2.0 I mean we've got a gra
phic that that looks specifically at the goal scoring output and it shows that in fact that is ahead now of what it was in that side that that won the Champions League to put it into a clearer perspective the forward players the group Salah forino mané origi minamino people like that scored 80 goals that season between them this season the five that have played in the port positions have scored 59 already so on that ratio they'd be in the '90s this year in terms of goal scor and that's you know
we talk about his legacy and what he's built and and and how well that team did and obviously the trophies that he won and now we've got the 2.0 and how that changes I think I think with managers you're always looking at the instant and can you win something well he's done that he came and made Liverpool great again um but he's now developed another team and I think the the Legacy of managers in history you'll always look at them and say what's the hardest thing to do yet win something but what'
s the next difficult thing is to then rebuild again so Alex Ferguson was a master at it um arson Wenger struggled a little bit although he went on to the invincibles a bit of a dip than the invincibles but in general the building of the second team or the third team is always the hardest what he's done now with with with this team now and put them on the on the edge of of being successful is incredible and that's that for me the fact that he's won something then he's come back and built another
team is is what he's all about and briefly gr we've talked Strikers but I mean the Midfield is another point of comparison isn't it the the pressing unit yeah if if you just look at the age and the profile of those players I think it's better and and more sort of longstanding than than the group that achieved the great sort of successes a few years ago sabosa mallister Jones you know all 25 or younger so they've got good years ahead of them as well but the archetype of the player that he's picki
ng and the Club of picking is on the same model now they know what type of Center Midfield they're looking for they know what type of WID man they're looking for and and it it just seems that they're on this sort of role of building a better better Squad but you could you could when he first came in and started saying right we're going to do this pressing pressing was always a thing but you can't do that with older players so he's had to reinvent the way they played after that and now he's gone
back to pressing like they do so that's why they was starting to see that success again and Rebecca a sign of the success of the current Midfield there was a lovely line after he back of Liverpool Chelsea the other night of course mallister and soas out shining kaiso and Fernandez and there was a newspaper that said mallister wakes up on Thursday morning with $280 million in his pocket brilliant stuff hi there I'm Rebecca loow Studio host for NBC's coverage of the Premier League don't forget to

@pedro75225

Klopp developed a culture and style of play which will still be embedded long after he leaves. The trophies he has won is sensational, but the european nights and cup finals are memories which last forever

@Melvin356

I’m really gonna miss him😢💔

@johnmawatt2069

I'm really going to miss him. Anfield would not be the same without him and his swinging fist. Klopp will be remembered as one of Liverpool greatest manager they ever have. His song and his legacy will remains forever in Liverpool. And in the mind of million fans around the world.

@Hedged001

He’s been nothing short of fantastic, and I feel he’s probably irreplaceable. Probably would’ve won more if he wasn’t competing against a team with 115 pending charges against them. Danke Kloppo ❤

@Inglese001

His legacy will continue well past his departure as Liverpool 2.0 evolve and progress.

@lindengates-bm1nl

Klopp will be remembered as one of the best coaches the Reds ever had.Base on he lift our drought of cups into winning trophies.

@lfcspectre4335

Top LAD Proper Klopper 💪😉👍

@MultiMrrog

liverpool had been held back by gerrard, though a very good player himself, sometimes good players stifle those around them when their too dominant

@kpwand

It was not that they couldnt crack the code of the PL. They simply did not have the resources to compete with United during the 90s and Chelsea during the 00s. Without Klopp, Liverpool have struggled to compete with City in the 10s. Money is important. Good players are important. A good manager without good players is ineffective. You need all of it to win titles.

@ifldiscovery8500

What legacy? Who has he influenced in the PL?

@timbolton5968

"Only" 1 league, when up against the biggest bunch of cheats in football history, whilst getting more points than Ferguson's United ever got 3 times. Reached as many CL finals in 4 years as Ferguson did in 25 years.

@shroommcfanta2020

Everything you said about Liverpool is true for the whole premier league

@russellward4624

As a failure. The same number of PL titles as Cladio Renieri.
