(Film projector sounds) (Atmospheric guitar music) Some people say we die three deaths. The first, when our bodies fail. (Birds chirping) The second, when we're committed to the ground. And the third and last, when those who loved and cared for us forget. (Seagulls) It's been a long time since I've been back here to the island. I'd almost forgotten how peaceful it is. It's the only place that ever really felt like home. It's gonna be strange not seeing Peter and Bobby. It used to be the three of
us. Now it's just me. The stillness always gets to me. It reminds me of another place. A place I try to forget. But I can't. The memories wait for me like a hungry stray dog Scratching on the back porch dragging me back in my mind. In my feelings. But more than anything, it's that stillness. The quiet. And knowing that, that stillness could be broken at any time. [Gun fire and shouting] Any chance I'm gonna get a phone signal out here? Not our here. Stone cold. Yeah. Shit! (Birds singing) Thank
s. Thanks for the ride. (Loud crow squawking) [Bell rings] [Bell rings] [Bell rings] [Bell rings] [Bell rings with high pitched sound effect] [Clock ticking] At least he's at rest now. Yeah. I still can't believe it. I don't know what he was thinking. It was an accident. What, no I mean leaving the lodge to the flipping caretaker woman and not me. Penny, I need to turn off the lights for a little bit. Do you need anything? No! Don't let us stop you. She never even changed for the funeral service
. Look, I know you're upset but she did a lot for your uncle. They were close. Aren't you annoyed that you didn't get anything. You moved country to be his housekeeper. And I recommended you for the gardening. We get to keep a roof over out heads. You should have got it eddy, we all know that. No offense penny. Anyway, the solicitor will sort it out. Yeah. [Music] Catching anything today? No, never do. (Sinister music) (Sinister music) [Doorbell] (Thrusting sound) Oh, am I glad to see you. - Hi!
Come in. Do you want a drink or something? No, no I'm good thanks. Great, let's get started then. I don't follow you. The will. Gina sent you to help with the will. No I'm here for the funeral. You're not Mike? No. Well, you're a bit late. I said you're a little late for the funeral service. Oh yes, sorry I tried to call you but I couldn't get a signal on the boat. Right. Best I could do. Sure. Sorry, who are you again? Harry, Peter's friend from way back. Ah, right okay. Eddy, nephew. Leanne's
side. Did you see anyone else on the way over? Hold on! Eddy? Yeah. We met a long time ago. When you came over with the rest of the English crowd. You were just a little guy. He hasn't grown much since either. Hi, I'm sue. Harry, sorry for your loss. Hey, it's more my loss than it is hers. It's not a competition ed. Ah, she's got the lights back on. I've got something I wanna show ya. It's not a copy of another will by any chance. I found this in one of the old photo albums. Look at that. Is th
at Peter? Yeah, Vietnam 1967. Oh, wow. Did you kill anybody? Well they weren't out there playing chess were they. Donkey! You see that guy there. That's Bobby. He introduced your uncle to his English wife. That would be your mum's sister right? Yeah. We were on Providence, road island in little Italy, having an Italian meal. We see these three girls. Your uncle thought they were Italian. We're in little Italy, we walk up to them and they're English. Bobby, wasn't he a bit of a nut job. A what? Y
ou know, a nut job. He fought in a war eddy. Yeah? You ever fought in a war? Yeah, I'm just married to her. I'll go and sort you out a room. Follow me. (Guitar music) (Sinister music) Jackie! Harry. You two know each other? Yeah we go way back. Known Jackie since she was a kid. How are you? I'm okay. Gees, I was shocked when I heard about Peter. I just, I couldn't believe it. I didn't know he was ill. I just... - It was terrible. - He wasn't ill. He wasn't? Yeah well, she's a lucky girl alright.
She managed to leapfrog me and bag this place in the will, didn't you? She's not even related. Well, I didn't hold him at gun point or anything like that. If that's what you're thinking. Peter was a strong minded guy. He sure was. Remember that time years ago in that little bar on the other side of the island and you were there with your friend, Sally. The two of you were in there at the bar and that biker came in and was hassling you guys and Peter just heaved him out on his ass. Remember that
? Hey, make the most of it alright. Cos my solicitors coming over. He's gonna check over the will. Eddy, here's the thing. It's not about being related to someone. It's about being with someone. Being there for them. [Echos] There's a difference, but you wouldn't understand that. Who was that? - Where? I thought I saw... Never mind. Shall I show you up then. Oh, sure you show we up all the time. I think she means me eddy. I know. It was a joke. Well, maybe he didn't find it funny. See you around
Jackie. [Whispered voice] (Dramatic sound) (Sinister music building) Hopefully, this'll be aright for you. This is great. You know it's none of my business but what's going on with Jackie and eddy. Eddy seems pretty upset. He's contesting the will. Yeah, it's a bit weird you know. Jackie getting everything. It makes you think, maybe there was something... I don't know about that. But I think Leanne would have wanted Peter to be with someone at this stage of his life. I don't think see would hav
e minded if he had someone to keep him company. But it's pretty sad though that. I mean there's so much stress. He's hardly in the ground. He's actually on the lounge table. What! Not literally. In an urn. Oh yeah. Oh no, it's a bit early for me. It's five o'clock somewhere. No really. Are you sure? Yeah. You don't mind if I do? No, go ahead. To Peter. Pretty strange for me being in this room. Why's that? Well, when Peter's dad owned the place. Peter and Bobby and I used to come here all the tim
e. We'd just horse around. We'd get up there and pretend the army was charging up at us and we were protecting the lodge. Those beds over there, we used those as trampolines. I can't tell you how many times we fell off and got banged up. We just did everything in here. It was our favorite place in the lodge, favorite room. It was just a great place I mean... The memories here I just can't count. Oh well. Penny does her best but it's all a bit run down for my liking. I suppose it is but, I kinda
like it. We used to stay in some amazing hotels when we had money. You don't travel anymore? Eddy likes a flutter. What's a flutter? Sorry, gambling. Ah! You know, football, horses. You name it. Yeah, we lost everything. You lost everything? Do you have a home? Are you homeless? Pretty much. And there's some people back home that we owe money to that... Well you wouldn't wanna be meeting them on a dark night put it like that. That's terrible. I'm sorry to hear that. You know you should talk to J
ackie. I mean since Peter's gone now this place is in need of repair and she can't do it all herself. So you and eddy could stay here. You know, you wouldn't have to pay rent. You could help her fix the place up. It'd be perfect. I'd solve things for you. I don't think so. Well, I didn't mean anything by that. I mean, it's just a suggestion... Not in a demeaning type of way. It's fine. Sue! I'd just like to give you something. I'd like to make a contribution. Oh no! Really please. Peter was my f
riend. I'd like to help a little bit. This can go towards the flowers or the food or something. That's very generous of you. It's the least I can do alright. I'll get penny to bring your bag up. Okay. [Atmospheric music] (Crow singing) Hey Jackie! - Hey. Anything I can help you with there? No, I'm just trying to fix this thing here. Are you sure? Yeah. What's with eddy, giving you a hard time like that? I stay away from eddy. I don't blame you. How about cup of coffee, we'll catch up. No thanks,
I'm busy. Well, maybe later. It'd be nice to catch up. I'll see, later. (Mysterious music) Hey! I was just coming to get that. I was just bringing this up to you. You'll wait all day for Penny. She's a bit slow. Did that lawyer guy ever show up. No, no. Not yet. Hopefully soon though. He'd better turn up, that's for sure. Well it's not an easy place to get to. Well, I suppose not. Yeah, but you got here so... Yeah that's true I did didn't I. - Yeah. I'll see you around. Yeah, cheers Harry. (Sin
ister music, animal growling sounds) [Whispered voice] (Sinister music) (Sinister sound) Sorry! It's okay, it's my fault. I'm really sorry. I wasn't paying attention. I was just bringing you some clean towels. At least they were clean ten seconds ago. They'll be fine. Trust me. Okay. I'm Harry. Hi. You must be penny. - Yeah. Housekeeper right? I'll help you up. Thank you. Listen, is there someone staying in that room right there? A young guy, green t-shirt? Not unless we have squatters. I'm sure
I saw someone in the window just now. Do you mind if I take a look? Yeah, yeah... Alright... Well, I feel kinda silly now. Could've sworn I saw someone in here. This place does tend to have that effect on you. Yeah. It's coming back here I guess... All these years... After so long all, all the memories you know. Strange meeting you after all this time. Why's that? I've heard so much about you and Bobby over the years. Me and... Bobby. Peter told you. He talked a lot about you. All good I hope.
Depending on whether he'd had a drink or not. We were the three musketeers. We did everything together. Hung out here a lot. Went overseas together, but that's a long time ago now. So what are you doing here? How did you end up here at the lodge? I came over from England. Eddy's my cousin. Eddy's your cousin? Well, second cousin. As he keep reminding me. Unlucky you. Can't wait till he goes back actually. I can see why I guess. Vultures. They're nothing like his aunts side of the family. Are you
involved in this will business? No, up to him who he left it to. - Yeah. Anyway, if you're hungry there's some food left in the kitchen if you want to drop by. Yeah. I could go for a bite. A good strong cup of coffee too. Penny! How did Peter die? (Guitar music) (Dog barking) [Barking dogs] Peter! [Woman's scream] (Sinister sound effect) So now I know how Peter died but I'm not buying it. I'm not buying it at all. There's something else. I'm not sure what it is but I'm gonna find out. (Scottish
sounding music - bagpipes) (Mellow harp music) Well, old buddy. Didn't think we'd meet like this. What happened to you out there in that shed? I know... I know we had some tough times the last several years because... Because of what happened. But um... Boy I really wish you were here. I'm starting to seethings and hear things. I though it was all in the past, but now it's all coming back to me. I can't get the images out of my head and the sounds. I thought I saw... It couldn't have been... I
sure wish you were here to talk to. (Mysterious music) [Dogs barking] (Dogs barking) [Kettle whistles] Did your guy turn up yet? No. Creepy aren't they. Who, lawyers? Yeah, those too. No these things. These things? Yeah. No they're not creepy at all. Peter's dad used to hunt. He loved it. But I always thought it was kinda sad. Such magnificent creatures, minding there own business and then pop and they're gone. Stupid animals if you ask me. Hey, if you're dumb enough to get shot you deserve it.
You've got a way with words eddy. Can I give you some advice? Oh god here me go. What? Well come on out with it. The wise old man bollocks. See there you go again. I mean maybe you should just think before you talk sometimes. I speak my mind. Deal with it! What's your problem? My problem? Yeah, you seem to have an axe to grind with everybody. What's your problem? I'll tell you my problem. My problem is that my good old boy uncle. God love him. Decided to leave his entire estate to some bleach bl
ond, hillbilly, gold-digger. That's my problem Harry. I'm gonna give you another piece of advice. You wanna talk like that about Jackie, don't do it around me. Or what? Or what? Why else would he have done something so stupid. Well I guess you'd never think about something like this but maybe they cared about each other. Maybe he loved her. What soppy bollocks! This isn't the summer of love you and Peter grew up with Harry. During the summer of love Peter and I were in Vietnam getting our asses
shot at, while you weren't even a thought. Yeah, yeah. During the war. What are you griping about anyway? If anyone has a gripe it's penny because she came over here from England to help take care of Peter. Really? Yeah, and she seems to be the only one that cares about. Peter not being here anymore. You certainly don't show anything. I cared about him too. - Really? Yes! What do you expect, me to belaying on the floor crying about it. I certainly expect to see... Is everything okay? Yeah, it's
fine. [Bell ringing] (Sinister music) (Animal growling) (Bell rings) Hey! Hey! No thanks. I see you fixed the light. You're getting pretty good with your diy. It's Peter who taught me how to take care of this place. It's definitely quirky. Kinda like Peter. I heard how you guys found him. It must have been pretty hard. I've had better days. Jackie's in a lot of pain. No matter what the others think. It's obvious to me she's lost someone she loved. Did Harry say anything about what he did for a l
iving? No. Where's Mike? He had to get back to the golf. Mexico? Tournament! He brought me this. Nice. Yeah. So, what did he say? That patents was a virtue. Unfortunately, that's is not a luxury we can afford. Come again? The good news is, we can challenge the will. Yeah, and the bad? Yeah, it could take up to six years. What! We don't have that long. Yeah, I know that. If we go back to England empty handed they will kill you. Yeah, thanks for reminding me. That completely slipped my mind. You b
etter get yourself some life insurance because I'm sick of this. Shh! [Woman crying] Sorry I need to be by myself. Jackie! (Piano music) Jackie what's wrong? Peter's not coming back is he? I though your legal bloke was gonna sort all this out. Yeah, well that could take ages apparently. Trust me, this guy turning up is perfect. Um... It's too soon after Peter. Look, it's yes or no otherwise all this has been for nothing. You owe me. Yeah, I know I owe you. Alright, look. Twenty-five percent. Wha
t of everything? Everything. The land too. I'm gonna sell this place mate it gives me the creeps. This way, we'll get rich quick but it has to happen now. Half? I'm not gonna give you half mate. I want half. Thirty-five percent that's my maximum. Fifty percent, or you can do it. I'm not gonna do it am I. I'm not stupid. Forty? Or I'm gone. Where you going? Where you gonna go? Forty percent? Alright. Forty percent, but it has to happen tonight. And what about her? Is she gonna be a problem? She w
ill do what I tell her to. She'd better mate. She'd better. (Sinister music) (Piano music) (Helicopter sounds in distance) Let's move in. Bobby, you stay with the gear. I wanna come with you. I said you're staying with the gear. I wanna come Harry. It's my call. (Gun shots) (Emotional music) (Sinister music, animals howling) (Rattling) (Rattling intensifies) (Rattling stops) (Ringing sound effect) Harry! Harry! Bobby! [Scream] (Sinister music) (Sinister music) It's my call, you're staying with t
he gear. Bobby, stay with the gear! Okay we're going in. Bobby stay with the... [Explosion] (Sinister music, voices) [Rising military radio noise] (Explosion) (Rattling) [Sounds of war] (Rock music) (Loud rock music - in-audible lyrics) (Music stops, strange sounds) (Sinister music) Are you my Bobby? Hi Harry. Is it really you? It's really good to see you too. I'm sorry for what happened. I told you to stay. Why'd you follow us. I didn't listen. I should have made you listen. I was squad leader.
It's not your fault. But I got you killed. I got myself killed. (Sinister music) [Scream] Watch you back Harry! Okay. (Bleeping, strange voices) Standby to go Harry. (Sinister music) (Sinister music) [Laughing] (Animal screeching) (Electrical sound) Oh damn it. Damn fuses again. Jesus! Oh, oh my god! Let go of me! Let go of me! [Thud] (Thudding) (Bleeping) Anybody out here? Hello! Everyone okay? Hello? (Sinister music) Oh my god, Jackie! Jackie! Jackie, can you hear me? Jackie! Oh Christ! Jacki
e! Jackie! Come on! Come on! Harry? It's Jackie. I think she fell down the stairs. I don't know if she's breathing. (Sinister music) What have you done Harry? I think she fell down the stairs. Of course she did. Out the way eddy. For Christ sakes no! What the fuck? Come on. Untie me! No! So, you can understand that we need to feel safe. Right? What about Jackie? Is she okay? No, she's gone Harry. What are you up to eddy? Me? No this is all down to you after your argument and your shoving contest
earlier. We all heard it. I didn't push Jackie down the stairs. You did. She was upset about Peter. Save it for the judge Harry. What the fuck is this? What are you doing? Peter's blood. You killed your uncle? No! What the fuck is wrong with you? Let me out of this chair. Get me out of this fucking chair. Calm down. Let me out of this chair so I can beat the shit out of you. Coward! God damn it! I'll kick your fucking ass. Calm down. Son of a bitch. (Sinister music) Fuck me! (Sinister music) (S
inister music) What are you doing? Never you mind. Hello! (Sinister music) (Scary voices reversed) Hello. (Sinister voice) (Sinister voice) (Sinister music) (Muffled voices) [Screaming] (Scary voices - muffled) Harry get in there, it's ok come in! Harry get in there! (Deep scary voice) (Sinister music) What are you doing? I'm just moving her aren't I. Why didn't you leave her where she was? So people can just trip over her at the bottom of the stairs? Oh yeah, health and safety. Yeah, get your p
riorities right. Well, yeah. What's happening with Harry? I've just sedated him. Just until we get things straight. Sue, I'm this close to getting everything. If we pull this off. We're not out of the woods yet. Why? We all heard the row. Next thing we know, Jackie's at the bottom of the stairs and Harry's actually leaning over her. He even had blood on his hands. It is perfect. It's not perfect is it. Penny is not as convinced as you thought she'd be. Where is she now? She's upstairs. I suppose
I'll have to go and speak to her. Be tactful. We need her on our side sue. Of course. Yeah. Go on. You do it! But what if he wakes up? I'll put him to sleep the old fashion way shall I. No! No, I'll do it. Go on. Get on with it. I'll be back in a minute. (Sinister music) Oh my god, Jackie! Jackie! Harry! (Thunder sound) Harry! I didn't kill her. They set me up. Harry! Harry! Harry, I wanna tell you something. (Ghostly sounds) I'm sorry Harry. Not you too penny? You killed Jackie. I saw you. It'
s a setup. They want the lodge, that's why they killed Peter. What? What's why. That was an accident. Listen to yourself. It was a setup. I didn't kill Jackie. No just untie me, I'll prove it to you. I'll get you out. Come on untie me, I'll prove it. Graham's coming back. I can't he'll kill me. So you're gonna kill me instead? No, no. This is just a sedative. I promise. I'm sorry Harry. Penny, please... Please untie me! For god sakes penny. I'm sorry Harry. You did it then? Graham, that's enough
. Get your hands off me. Graham, I know. What? You killed Peter. Oh, joined the dots up did ya? I'm going to tell the police. You ain't gonna tell nobody nothing. You hear me? - Leave me alone! - No, no! Jesus! Fuck! (Sinister music) You did the right thing penny. I know what's been going on. And? So you're involved too. You just don't get it do you penny. We are all involved. I'm not involved and I am going to the police. I told you what would happen if you crossed me. What, you gonna kill me a
s well? Give me that money back now. (Sinister music) (Smack) You want the money. I'll give you the money. Come on you little prick! Come on show your face. (Sinister music) What are you doing? - I'm just taking it for safe keeping. Untie me! Eddy untie me. I'm gonna get help. Oh my god, eddy untie me. Untie me! Eddy, fuck sake what are you doing? I'm gonna get help. Untie me! I'm gonna get help. Eddy, eddy... eddy! Eddy! Hey Eddie! (Sinister music) Where you going? Son of a bitch. You really ou
t smarted yourself this time pal. Bollocks! Hello eddy. Shit, Mclaren. Am I too late for the service? No, I was just coming to see you look. What's this? It's the money I own you. It's a bit light isn't it. There must be like ten grand there. You owe ten times that. It's a down payment. Just give me a bit longer. I'll get you the rest honest. You're out of time. It's ten thousand dollars. Don't worry, I'll make it quick. I can get you more money. More like fifteen thousand. Oh fuck! Are you goin
g to introduce me to your friend eddy? Harry Collins. So, are you the caretaker of something eddy murdered the caretaker tried to set me up for it. He murdered his uncle too. You've been a busy boy eddy. Don't listen to him he's a drunk. That's my money. That's my money now. Shoot him. Shut up. Now listen grandad I've been paid to do a job and you're making it very messy and I don't like messy. Then why don't you keep the money and leave him for me. Shoot him Mclaren. He's seen your face. Where
were we? You want that piece of shit here because he owes you money. I want him dead because he killed two friends of mine. That's personal. I deserve the honors. Mclearn, I can get you more money please. How much did you say is there? Fifteen thousand bucks. It's yours. Mclearn I can get you more money. Don't listen to him. Why don't I just take the money and kill the both of you? That would be messy. You said yourself you don't like messy. Mclearn I can get you more money. Please! You're doing
my head in. Shut the fuck up eddy! I'm sorry! Go for the gun. I'd like that. Go ahead, go for it! Calm down Harry. Jesus Christ. Don't tell me to calm down. Don't tell me to calm down eddy. Alright. Alright. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. (Trigger) Should put a bullet in your head right now. Look, I'll confess everything. Who is he? He's an enforcer. The people I owe money to. They made me do all this Harry. They were gonna kill me. Made you do it. So you decided to kill Peter for the estate. And then w
hen you saw he'd left it to Jackie you decided to bump her off too. I had no choice. Tried to set me up for it. They were gonna kill me. That doesn't justify it. This is it eddy, say goodbye. [Gun shots] Don't shoot! You're not getting off that easy. You'll rot in jail. I'll confess everything. You bet your ass you'll confess. Get up. Let's go. Alright. Alright. Can you give me a hand please. Just help me up. Please, come on. Thanks. (Sinister music, grunting) (Struggle) Son of a bitch. Bitch! (
Grunting) Oh Jesus! (Struggle) (Sinister music) That was for Peter. This one's for Jackie. You wont do it. (Gunshot) (Sinister music) Watch your back Harry! (Gunshot) (Sinister music) (Mellow guitar music) Are you okay? Yeah, I'm okay. Are you okay? Sure? Harry! Harry! Harry! Harry! [Telephone ringer] (Housing associates) Stevie boy! - Hey Mike! Hey is Gina there? Yeah, she's here. She asked me to call. Hey Gina. - Yeah! I got Mike for ya. Oh, good patch him through. We'll do it later. Mike, I'l
l patch you through buddy. Thanks pal. Hi Mike. - Hey, what's up? Yeah, I just wanted to confirm your court appointment on Tuesday. Who did we get? Judge Foley. - Foley! Oh yeah, I know you love him. - UN oh! Alright good luck. - Thanks. Oh, Mike. You know that will being contested as hunter's lodge. Yeah what about it? The witnesses signature on that. He's got a previous conviction for check fraud. Are you serious. It's not worth the paper it's written on. Oh nice work Gina. Let's get back out
to the island and find that nephew eddy. Sure. We've got some good news for him. He's gonna be a very rich man. Some people say we die three deaths. The first when our bodies fail. The second when we're committed to the ground. And the third and last. When those who love and care about us forget. (Scotting music)

@JeffRReed-yy2uj

Just finished, very good film. Makes a person ponder a few things. And I imagine we will ponder each a little different. Enjoy people's, it's definitely worth a watch.....

@SMtWalkerS

This really was a good thriller. Harry was a really appealing tough old guy. I was puzzled by Bobby's ghost showing up over and over, but Peter, the murder victim, where was his ghost? This was a good enough thriller to have no ghost at all, other than Harry's PTSD. But the trio of friends was brought up over and over. Like a 3-legged stool that was missing a leg. All in all, a good crime thriller, with a unique and intriguing setting.

@BrighidDannan369

Surprisingly engaging and just really excellent movie, def worth a watch esp for lovers of the supernatural mixed with suspense and mystery Thank you to Stash - Thrills and Chills πŸ™

@francescolumbo2726

Great film. Kept me on the edge. Too bad Harry had to go in the end. But he and his buddies can rest together.

@user-mm8op3gd6p

It's funny, I made a search for "full werewolf movies", and this came up. Though there is no mention of a werewolf in the description (it is the first night of the werewolf's full moon, which goes for three days traditionally), I was drawn to watch it. Because of the ghost story aspect and the violence, it is, I suppose, a horror movie (there is much that is horrific in it). But even more than that, it is a classic tragedy, beautifully done. Harry (who I originally thought would be the werewolf, how wrong I was!) was the classic tragic hero. He went into the den of villains and of those in need of saving from the villains ... As he slowly caught on to what was going on, his heroism was brought out in all of its glory. But still, one by one, everyone, villain, victim, and ultimately hero, died. The hero died because he did, indeed, act with hubris (thinking that the gods and the fates were too slow in bringing "jusitice", so that he took it into his own hands). Hubris is always the act of a hero, of a "too good", rather than a bad, person. A story of this sort is quite literally classic tragedy. And this movie did it beautifully.

@pommydiva1
