34 years ago in 5th grade. I sent a letter to Kenny. He sent me a 12x 12 picture signed. I still have it to this day. He's legend
I was a little girl (African American) in the Bronx. All my father would listen to was Kenny Rogers & Country Western Music. So his children grew to love it. The funny part was this BLACK MAN PULLING UP BLASTING THE GAMBLER ... LOVIN' THE MEMORIES 😅
This is my dad’s favourite song. It’s the advice he gave me in all of life’s hard times. I am moving back to my home town, and I am pregnant. My partner is staying here for work-but he has said some things this past week that make me think he is going to abandon me and my daughter. Including that he never wanted her. I am scared. And I came here for some comfort and a good cry 💕
Who’s here in 2024? This song never gets old.
When I was 18 years old, my boyfriend (who is now my husband) was getting ready to deploy overseas. The night before he left, he took me into his living room then put on this song and danced me around his living room while he sang it to. Many, many years later, the best man at our wedding sang that song for our bride and groom dance. It's been 30 years and two kids and that is still one of my favorite memories. ...................................... It nearly broke my heart when I learned Kenny Rogers passed away . , Kenny, you meant more to the world than I think even you knew. Thank you for the memories.💖
Who watching in February man I love this song
I’m listening to this minutes after I heard Kenny died... absolutely crushed
We lost a great talent when Kenny died. My husband and I saw him several times in concert! My husband even looked like him when they were younger: same color hair and beard and glasses!
When your happy you feel the rythm. When your sad you understand the lyrics... this master piece speaks volumes. RIP Kenny Rogers 🕊️🙏
not joking this song learned me how to play poker 🌚
Mom's favorite country singer ballad...R.I.P. Mom
My Dad was a Kenny lookalike. This song gives me goosebumps. Miss you Pops! Everyday.
Here from Army Of The Dead. The song sold me on the movie. RIP Kenny
This is the greatest life lesson we can teach our children. Thank you, Kenny Rogers. The poker game of life.
I'm English and I think this song transcends culture to the point where you only need to understand the words to realise its genius. God bless you Kenny.
Sage advice from a wise soul.
This wasn’t just a song, he was telling you the way of life! ❤️
RIP Grandpa. You were a good man
The Gambler died today, he will be missed. God speed Kenny.
A great song that will live forever. 🙏 R.I.P Kenny Rogers
