local nonprofits here in Waco are generating over 74.1 million every year now that's according to the new art economy and prosperity survey by the National Association of the art it gauges how much money comes directly from concerts plays and other events that happen in our area that are put on by local nonprofits now creative Waco says that this study also shows that we've improved compared to the last time the study was done in 2015 several local nonprofits host events featuring music art and
culture year round in Waco including the Waco Symphony Association everybody missed live performance so much during the pandemic um and it's this great unifier for our community to have to have an uplifting Music Experience when you buy a ticket food or a new outfit for these events all that money adds up for every dollar our city or county puts into arts and culture they get $4 back in local tax revenue if I was investing in something that gave a 400% return on investment I would consider that
