The first beta of the new OneUI 6 update based on Android 14 is here and this brings a lot
of new features, some major changes. And some of them I like,
some of them I don’t. But you know what?
Let's not waste any more time. Let me show you
the best OneUI features in action. So, this is OneUI 6, and the first thing
you will notice here is the new widgets. So, there’s a couple
of new weather widgets. The weather insights widget
shows you the temperature along with more details
like chance of rain
or thunderstorms. There is also this Dynamic widget
which also has this cool new animation, which changes
according to the weather, obviously. This is cool but the more useful
new widget here is the custom camera widget. This lets you open up
a specific camera mode directly from the home screen. I can set it to open the
rear or the front camera and I can choose from different modes, be it portrait, video, pro mode, you get the idea. I also like that you can customize
the widget’s name and the b
ackground. And this is what the widget looks like and it works perfectly. I also like that the Smart Suggestions
widget is now more customizable and you can even exclude apps
from this widget right here. New widgets apart, OneUI 6 brings a number of visual changes. The biggest one
is obviously the new quick settings. This is what the new
Quick Settings looks like compared to Quick Settings
on OneUI 5. Now, I am not a fan of OneUI
losing its one handed UI design here, which made it so good but ya
, OneUI 6 makes things cleaner. WiFi and Bluetooth are separated and I like that tapping
on the icon turns them off, and tapping on the text
expands the WiFi or Bluetooth Settings right here. Anyway, the display controls
are also separated at the bottom, be it brightness, the eye comfort mode
or dark mode. The edit page has also changed,
and there’s one handy option here. I am talking about “Quick Settings
Instant Access”. This can be turned on and now,
when I swipe from the top right corner, it
directly opens up
the quick settings page, similar to iOS and MIUI. Another change I noticed here is that
when you turn on the Airplane mode, and then turn on say Bluetooth, OneUI 6 remembers it. So, when I turn on Airplane Mode the next
time, it will keep Bluetooth turned on. Really cool. Anyway,
the media player in the notification shade also has this cool waves animation
when the music is playing. Also, OneUI 6 has a new
default font that looks more modern. The Settings app has a few tweaks.
It shows you the profile picture a little
bigger now, and the battery page is now
a dedicated page in the Settings, and it too has a new graph
and some options have been rearranged. OneUI 6 also brings updated emojis, although I have never
been a fan of Samsung emojis. Moving on, OneUI has always had
a very customizable lockscreen and OneUI 6 is obviously
making things better. See, in OneUI 5,
you could resize the clock but there was no way
to move around the clock. In OneUI 6, you can resize t
he clock and you can move it around like this
and set it wherever you want. That’s not all. There are also
new font styles for the clock and there’s also a new clock style. OneUI 6 also brings some big
camera changes and new features. First of all, the camera UI
has changed for the better. You now get an option right here to choose from 12MP or 50MP or 200MP. There’s also a new icon
for Super Steady Mode, and I like
this new video resolution UI a lot more. This is cleaner and easier to use. Now,
coming to the new features, there’s
an advanced intelligence options page, which lets you choose between
3 picture quality options. Maximum is obviously for the best
picture quality with a little shutter lag. Minimum is if you want to take
shots quickly without any shutter lag, but you can compromise on the quality. Medium is kind of the best of both worlds. Honestly, there is quite
a difference in speed in the maximum
and minimum quality options. There is also the Auto FPS option
which now has
more options, and the watermark style
has now more customization in terms of date and time styles. The OneUI 6 Gallery app is also better. It now has this info icon when you open
a photo or video and this shows you all the details along
with a few edit suggestions right here. As you can see, there’s remaster,
portrait effect and object eraser. And I can hit remaster and it starts.
That’s it. I can now see the before and after, zoom in for better comparison. The editing UI has also changed. It h
as the most useful features in
the first button itself instead in a 3 dot menu button. It also has an undo and redo button
right here, which is very useful. You can now copy edits from one photo and apply to another photo like this. Nice! OneUI 6 also brings a couple of new,
very useful privacy features. So, number one is Auto Blocker, which is turned off by default,
but you can turn it on and it will make sure
to block apps from unauthorized sources, it will run security checks
in the apps in y
our phone and it will block commands via ADB. This will also block images
and messages that might be malicious and block software updates via USB. This I think is very useful, especially for people
who are not very tech savvy and manage to install apps
with those full screen ads. So, ya. Kuddos to Samsung for this. That's not all.
I also saw this new option in OneUI 6 that alerts when an AirTag or say a Samsung SmartTag
is detected travelling with you. You can even do a manual scan right here. S
o, smart select is one of the most
underrated features in OneUI and with OneUI 6, when you are using it
to capture a partial screenshot, it shows you the aspect ratio, so you can take a screenshot
in 16:9 or 4:3. Whatever. It even shows you a magnifier, so that
you can capture the edges perfectly. This is very cool, but that’s not all.
You can still pin it, but now, you can even
extract text from it, or just drag and drop it like this. So, those were the big changes
and new features in OneUI 6 b
ut I want to know from you. Which is your favorite new
OneUI 6 feature? And, which is that one feature
that One UI is still missing? Comment below!
Thanks for watching.

Which is your favorite new OneUI 6.0 feature? 🤔
I wish they included native internet speed indicator...😢
Four must have features that samsung should provide: 1. Realtime data speed indicator 2. Battery health percentage 3. Fingerprint animation customization 4. Native app lock just like we had S-Secure
Edge panel is highly under rated feature, I use it more than 30~40 times a day and it saves a lot of time and lots of toutches.
The journey from TouchWiz to Experience UI TO ONE UI 6 was really awaSOME ❤❤❤❤
still waiting for 1. App Lock 2. Internet speed on status bar 3. Disabling internet access for selected apps 4. 3-finger screenshot or any other quick-easy way. 5. Back guesture quick switch to last app. 6. Refresh/Rescan button in wifi and bluetooth settings. 7. Vertical app drawer. No doubt oneui gives stable updates but still it is missing many of the basic features. And installating additional good lock modules to get a feature adds another step to get a basic thing which is already available in most of the other UI's.
I wish they added biometric lock for each app.
I bought A52s 5g in September 2021. It has been 2 years old. Still I'm receiving security patch update every month. Kudos to Samsung's software team. Just one issue is System takes a lot of storage (around 30 GB) and BGMI is lagging a little bit. Otherwise, everything is fine to me. I think A52s 5g is the best A series phone that Samsung has ever released.
You know something I would really like. More fun animations. For example, the weather widget actually having some rain falling actively. Uber widget with moving progress bar. Waze/Maps widget with active directions. Things that move and make your home screen so much enjoyable.
Love One UI so much and this is a great upgrade!
Great video, straight to the point and I love the comparisons to the previous version
Looks really good honestly. Just needs fingerprint animations and general animations across the ui
I prefer the older style of notification panel. That one-handablility of it was something I wish I had on my Pixel 5A. Aside from that One UI needs: 1) Internet speed indicator, 2) App lock and 3) battery health.
One feature I would recommend for Android OS, in general, is that the full picture DP of the caller. It's still the small round that shows either your initials/assigned picture. It would be great if it comes full screen
I really liked it but I was expecting much more changes regarding personalization and these stuff. Thanks for the video <3
As someone who's watched tech reviews for most of their life this format of reviews is awesome. Short, straight to the important bits and packed full of info. Subbed 👍👍
I like MIUI control center. Before vivo had swipe up from bottom to access control center which was so much better for one hand usage
I wanted them to get back a feature of extended quick panel in which when you click on time or date there, it will open clock app or calender app but woah they completely removed the whole expanded time format. I also wanted a quick calculator option in quick panel buttons.
Features that I want :- 1) APPLOCK - a basic applock feature, don't wanna use secure folder. 2) The ability to change icon pack as GOODLOCK is not available across all models. 3) A realtime internet speed meter. PS :- To probable repliers - please do not say that Samsung should maintain certain premiumness for it's flagship phones. 'am not asking for all GOODLOCK features just those which are available in almost every smartphone of every company out there.
Many are missing which are common 1. Internet speed display at the top 2. Lock screen wallpaper customization is limited to 15 pics but I had over 100 pics set in my Huawei so kind of missing that alot 3. Wifi doesn't switch to stronger signal network instead had to manually connect with the closest router. 4. There should be a different private space like you set a new home on your left thumb and whenever you open the lock with your left thumb it takes you to that space.Upgrade version of Current ones And many more to write
