1. On the first Celestial Day,
an Orb was formed from Rock and Flame, sent to
spin in place and drift in space. 2. And five Celestial Days passed;
and the Orb remained a globe of solid Rock and ever-burning Flame. 3. And on the fifth Celestial Day,
a sheet of Air wrapped ‘round in folds and pressed the flame deep
towards its core; winds were stirred up from the blaze, and
set the Air to move and swirl. 4. And five more Celestial Days
passed, with ten Celestial Days having passed since the Orb wa

formed; and the Air and wind clung to the surface of the globe. 5. And on the tenth Celestial Day,
Water sprinkled thirsting earth, cooling blazing dusty ground,
flowing winding down its slopes, pooling into growing ponds,
swelling into mighty seas. 6. And one more Celestial Day
passed, with eleven Celestial Days having passed since the
Orb was formed; and the Water continued to refresh, and purify itself. 7. And on the eleventh Celestial Day,
the Water diminished the ever-burning Flame; and t
he Flame was dimmed
almost to extinguishment; and the globe grew Cold, and the Flame
withdrew beneath solid Rock. 8. With fire dimmed, Darkness grew;
the land was Dark, and oceans black. The drifting orb had no guide;
the stars could not bestow illume. 9. And thus passed one more Celestial
Day, with twelve Celestial Days having passed since the Orb was formed; and
the Cold could not penetrate the globe’s inner fire. 10. And on the twelfth Celestial Day,
the Darkness nearly consumed all light. Ye
t a Light appeared, and hailed
the Orb. This Light brought it into
a fold. 11. Thus God showed Earth to the Sun,
and the Sun showed itself to the Earth. 12. And three more Celestial Days
passed, with fifteen Celestial Days having passed since the Orb was formed;
and the Light was good, and did not burn the Earth. 13. And the New Light filled the Earth
with bright day; but the stars could not provide the Earth with light in
