cademy and today we're going to talk a little bit about Paraguay right Paraguay and the gray grade last week and uh World pile tour actually last week outstanding yeah it's amazing so let's go over to semifinals uh we have Ruiz Momo versus koi on Tapia and I gotta say man there is an unbelievable shot that Quail does and puts right out the door yes uh it is amazing you know um so let's let's check it out Point very few times on the history of paddle yeah wants to jump up just in case just in cas
e what an amazing uh point you know and what an amazing point to to finish that set yes and it will be great for you for you or viewers and listeners to watch it how they strategically play each point how Momo covers every time on the first point when he serves Cross or how he covers the middle part of the chord automatically that's something that uh a lot of our my students and a lot of amateur players I see all the time that they live in Open Spaces too much and this is a great way for you guy
s to watch that point analyze it how the cover space is how to recover balls and how to defend uh those shots it's really amazing and you see how um cuello and and tape defend right you see a topic kind of in the back and you seek wayo there kind of in the front waiting for a smash uh and and they work really well together and you know tappy was able to hit some good shots over we're finally uh shout out you know uh too short of a lob and nikoi was there ready yeah one of one of the things that
uh we uh depending on your level that's called staggering you know when one player players in the back or one one player stays in the back and they're on the front even though when they play a high lob the player at the front has to have a very solid hands because they're gonna get they're going to go out to him because he's the one in the much more uh defense you know defensive position being so close to the net obviously these guys play in such an amazing level that they can defend our shots i
f you're an intermediate or a beginner uh rather for you guys to stay back when you're defending and not run up to the net and play the Stagger stagger plane you know watching World paddle tour exactly but sometimes they see not for amateurs you know we're trying to imitate the professionals and the way they do and if you can pay attention to that they get so close to the net and they hit those bombs and them and they're defending they have like a you know Captain American Shield nothing goes th
rough it it's truly amazing it is amazing and let's talk a little bit about uh Momo how at the end there he tried to uh hit Quail with the ball yeah so let's talk about that rules I don't know enough many people know no no so in that situation you know there was a smash uh and uh was you know uh taking the ball out of the out of the door you know on their side on Momo Momo's side and um he was running out out the door and Momo came out and tried out the door try to hit that ball and try to hit q
uayo with it and of course where you have kind of understands this so he jumps out of way just in case but if you do that then it goes to the Momos uh correct right yes so that's something that you you've I've seen before but it's not really something that happens all the time well let me give you a different example in tennis in tennis if let's say if you serve or if you hit a shot and you get hit in your body before the ball bounces right you lose the point so the other player wins and I have
tried in the past with my tennis background you know sometimes when you see I'm serving to one side of the court and the the player um who's in the opposite side is getting closer to the net so sometimes or is getting closer too much to that to the center line I will you will try to aim there if he gets hit he will lose the point here's a similar rule where both players from one from each team run outside the chord so if if it's your turn to hit that shot and if you hit the player regardless whe
re he said it's your point yeah so so very few times happens because for that situation to be happening there is very few foreign against another player that uh is he's very close to the referee chair and he hits the other player he wins the point actually uh but yeah and the other player forgot about that role correct yeah yeah yeah because it looks like you know you're trying to hit him on purpose and he's like half a feet away from you and you try to hit him hard but yeah that's the way it's
your only shot at that point it's the only option yeah yeah so um you know you know you got cue on top you're winning even though Ruiz setting had a great um you know tournament I mean he played really great look there is a Momo I just love that couple you know I mean you can you can feel the chemistry there in between those two players so sad now they are split in uh you know we want to be the first ones giving you the bad news but it's such a great great couple for them to split I mean they've
been getting some positive results which for me it's a mind-blowing thing you're getting good results while you're explaining you know what I mean it's it's you've invested that time already Yes build that footage yeah now you're just gonna start all over again correct um so well there's many things that do happen you know in in a team you know it's being able to play together and uh you know it fit well together so who knows what why decision was to split up but they did um well koi on top you
win that six four six two uh let's go to the next semifinals that was Chingo tangarito and supandi Nano great for a set very close amazing novels yeah yeah great I mean it was uh you know it was uh in a tiebreaker it's the same thing with this then the second set I believe they were uh they were serving for the set and you know five four and they got broken back and then they ended up losing seven five yeah right uh you know what else can we say I think that's how the ball rolls you know at the
end of the day at this level is one one or two mistakes you're 30 low down very difficult to come back and that's it you know it Slips Away you know you get nervous serving for you know five four to win the match to win the set and uh she slips away and then the second set I think they went into a Time wreck right yeah second said it was on a tie break uh but it was stupid yeah seven two the fabric they make quite a few mistakes especially garrido agarito is very volatile he can play an unbelie
vable game but then uh or unbelievable points but then he makes so many that's another couple that I I think they had good good chemistry they were playing great and now they're splitting up again you know yeah yeah we're gonna go over that afterwards so now the finals is uh stupa and dinano um great game uh but there was a great point there uh a great defense by cuello and Tapia um and how koi was able to stretch and get that ball you know incredible in the play it was unbelievable but let's wa
tch it okay amazing play um okay so you know they end up winning uh tapio and this is what their third third or third one fourth fourth one yep wow so they they won Abu Dhabi Rioja Chile and Paraguay wow this is incredible incredible let's talk a little bit about um uh galang and uh and uh yes but but let me just say something about now a lot of you know people that are biting their tongues because we didn't bet on coil on tapio to really do that well because of the level we thought immaturity t
hey prove us all wrong yeah even I didn't believe in them you know and the way they've been winning with such a dominance I mean they've been playing an Intergalactic games I mean they've been kicking everyone's butt but but ridiculous I mean the final was six three six two right it was not even a game I mean they just got they don't know dominated dominated completely yeah uh same thing on the semi-finals I mean they're playing right now they're playing two or three steps above everyone else fo
r me I mean and they if they keep this level within the next month month and a half they're gonna be number one yeah well that's the whole key right yeah they're hungry right now they're very hungry and they're young yeah they're young so let's see if they can be consistent about it and well consistency I mean they weren't four tournaments in the road I mean more consistency than that we're talking about something like 11 and Galan yeah or or or or Martin because exactly Yeah but I they haven't
won three four tournaments in the road only Bella and and Diaz and homerton Diaz have won four tournaments in a row so these guys are making history paddle history let's keep on watching because the level they they play the way they defend and the way they attack unreal I mean the way tapia's plane said bye by far right now he's the best player in the circuit by far such a great defense oh my God defense on offense and the things he does and the way they read the game it's it's it's Unique it's
incredible it's amazing to watch it work very well together yeah they work they they they they mesh really well they match the the chemistry is there they know each other so well yeah well let's see yeah yeah well we'll see in the future you know they're doing really well I mean let's see when they have some losses or they're not playing too well now see how they they come back from that yeah yeah but right now they're unbelievable incredible yeah of battle for sure um okay so let's talk a littl
e bit about LeBron and Galan um you know I think a few weeks ago uh they couldn't play Argentina because Golan was injured and now you know um LeBron had to you know stop playing or forfeit in one of the games in the second set I believe in the quarterfinals and due to the injury in his arms and now they're going to be out uh the next the next game in Spain correct so um I mean we don't know maybe next couple of tournaments uh there are there's uh the rails tournament coming up then I think ther
e's a couple of Premier paddle tournaments so look guys at the end of the day at this at this high level it's all about gray paddle stay in shape yeah and don't get injured and you have to have all three you can have either or so then you need to find that perfect balance and that's why you know the warm-ups and the recoveries are so important these guys are getting you know back-to-back tournaments I mean um they're constantly playing every day in four weeks they they won four tournaments so it
's week weekend week out La Rioja for the first week no Abu Dhabi they were Abu Dhabi they came to La Rioja they want to do Abu Dhabi La Rioja the next week following week was Chile following was Paraguay I mean you don't stop playing I mean it's just incredible how your uh physical and mental stamina needs to stay up to 100 every single time yeah and when you start breaking down you bring your partner down with you so that's why working as a team and staying healthy uh it's crucial and also it'
s one of the one few few games a few sports that that you have that exactly you know I usually have more breaks yeah you know but you're constantly playing I mean there's over 30 tournaments and that's the world paddle tour yeah right and then you have a Premiere path correct so you're constantly playing at a high level I mean you have to be in great shape correct you know um okay so let's talk about um the new pairs right yes exciting super exciting everybody's gonna be you know changing and up
you know applying their new partner yes so obviously the first one I think we know about this bakito Navarro and FedEx um I think that's gonna be I think they're doing the well I think they do better than they are they both have a good positive uh you know yeah energy coming out of them and I love chingota I love how he plays and I I say anything yeah we'll see if they're able to play well together I mean we got to see if they they're a good match with each other I mean I you know uh paquito it
's a very tough comparative competitor uh it's tough to be your you know next to you um he's very he's pushing you to the max every single time some players like it some other players they don't so that's why they crash and when you when you don't have that chemistry it's very difficult to win games so we'll see what's gonna happen it's going to be interesting you know he's an emotional player yes and the good thing yeah the good thing that is happening now are all these guys all these new coupl
es they have a week or week and a half I think it's almost two weeks for them to train with each other and get to know each other because one of the things for you to change uh Partners you know from one one week to the next so you don't have time really to practice and to get to know each other because here it is it's a team a team plane you know you're playing with your partner if you don't really know each other how how to do plays how to talk to each other how to defend how to attack at the
same time uh it's very difficult to there's gonna be too many errors yeah you have to develop that chemistry before you walk into the court right so vaquito and Fede will be amazing now um I want to see how juanteo now plays with Alex Ruiz yeah I think that's going to be a good chemistry too yeah yeah okay all right I think they're they're both uh we know that Alex is Left-Handed you know they use is right-handed Alex is going to play on the forehand yeah tell you on the backhand side so that's
going to be very very interesting I mean that's going to be one of them couples more exciting couples to watch it yeah yeah and then you have Momo Gonzalez and Mike once yeah so uh I think yeah I like Momo and I like young ones I think that should work we'll see me personally I mean I think Zhang was will bring with Alex reads Momo's level went up I think with my Jung was I don't know if he has the experience of Alex trees that's my personal opinion but we'll see how it goes I mean two young guy
s are ready to you know Jung was playing well with Alexa Royo but we'll see what happens you know and then we have Ellen party playing with libacks you know Lee back yes now the the supervised uh 2.0 lead back announcement yes house Burger uh and and Lee back they're splitting after after Paraguay and that's because they have to right in order to play that exactly because of the point situation if they stay together their ranking is not high enough so they have to play previous Now by them pairi
ng with higher ranking players they go into the main draw so that's very positive lamperti 44 years old Lee back 17. wow it's Granddad and and Grandson you know sort of type of thing but I think for liback it's gonna be great because he's going to be learning so much from from course from uh party of course yeah yeah and then the other uh super layouts going with uh Javi Rico happy Rico okay so Hobbies it's a little bit young and we'll see how that couple goes I'm they're gonna do they're gonna
be hitting quite a few by three some by fours but we'll see how mentally they stayed strong together I love the way Javi Rico's plays I mean very explosive and all that but um uh I'm not sure I we'll see I I mean I like gorilla with um with jingoto yeah I mean I really like that yeah we're never gonna go for you know for you know yeah you know for the whole year yeah so we'll see how and I don't know who decided to go where you know so but something that I don't know if you guys watched the semi
-finals or not uh and and garridos I'm making I mean body language is very important when you're playing you know you have to be there you know because you communicate your body language to the opponents and do your partner and that body language of chingotto when garrido was making these many unforced errors you seen he he was he was upset yeah he was upset and he was down and and uh instead of you know pushing your partner to to get better and all that because he made quite a few unbelievable
enforcers even though on the last point of the of the uh of the match point yeah that too yeah you know it was a double hit on on a vivora that you should have been making never making at that levels usually not like that exactly it's always positive yeah but it's you know and I said this before is Gorilla risks a lot yeah you know you know you need to know what shot to take I want to be defensive I want to be your offensive he you know and sometimes you want to take that risk and you shouldn't
you should just get it back in the gameplay defensive into another opportunity correct and gorilla takes two too much yes yes I think the execution of the right shot at the right time is crucial for any paddle play player at any level you have to know what shot to hit and that's why it's so important for you guys to take lessons and and go to clinics and all that because it's you can hit the same shot every single time because you got to play with the score you got to play with your partners the
situation of the match the situation of the point and executing and you see it at all levels executing the right shot at the right time at the right moment is crucial for you to start winning matches yeah without a doubt yeah okay so those are the those are the changes um and now we're going to be playing in Spain right correct so we'll see how how it goes if we're not going to have LeBron and Galant playing there but uh we'll see if stupa and dineno meet um yeah you know look I mean estupa Nin
o unbelievable plane but honestly I mean they made it to the finals uh I think I I think so too uh or Chile I don't know one of those they make it there but now they're running to these mega super unbelievable Intergalactic couple you know cold koi on Tapia that there's nothing they can do I mean honestly I mean there was it was no way they couldn't get a point out of them I mean from the from the first ball I mean they were there was just a wall the Big Wall of China yeah thanks for tuning in t
