SB19 Official

9 months ago

Let's go. Let's go. Let's go! Let's go. (Put your hands together ..for Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken and Justin ..here's SB19!) For SB19.. we're trying something new right now. This is the first MV they will release that's R'n'B. It's a different perspective showing SB19 ..and how they are in terms of being artists. How they moved on to the next level. Let's start with your eyes down again. This shows the other side of SB19 that people don't expect. It's kind of nerve-wracking, but at the same time,
I feel very confident with my body. (For Pagtatag, in general, it's very bold, ..unconventional, and "out of the box". We're really expecting SB19 2.0.) Water, go! (Disengage.) (Now focus on him.. on his eyes.) That's what I enjoy. I love taking risks ..and people know that all of us are like that. We like trying new things every year. There. In and out of frame. That's good. We really want to explore everything that we can do and we don't want to box ..and limit ourselves to just one thing. We
want to broaden our artistry. So Ken.. slowly open your hands a bit in order for the light to hit you. The only risk right now is ..this is the first time we're releasing this kind of music. We're excited, but ..we're also nervous. At first, I was thinking that maybe it will be awkward for us ..because it's our first time making an MV like this where we won't be dancing or singing. You need to feel it. Feel. We need to feel the emotion by just looking at your gesture. Okay. Let's go. For I want
you.. the things we normally do had to change drastically. This time we had to be more intimate and we had to approach this MV in a more artistic way ..because it's very simple, yet the appeal is striking. This is achieved by mixing two clips/scenes. When I got to my set, I felt that it was going to be challenging ..because it was so hot. There was a lot of candles and they were all lit. Also, the AC wasn't on. There was a lot of film equipment ..which made the set's temperature even hotter. W
e have leveled up this time. This is very sensual. This is kind of a mature role for us. I think we have improved upon the things we are doing compared to what we've done in the past. I think it's better that we are pushing boundaries than to just stay in our comfort zone. (This year is really different. I want you really pushes the limit for SB19.) I want you is one of the songs that ..we are really looking forward to. We feel like it's going to be a hit. People might get shocked and say, "Who
knew that SB19 could also pull off this type of genre?". I'm very excited. These songs that we've prepared immensely for are very special to us because ..we haven't been active in a while and it's been quite some time since we have released new songs. We hope that people will like it because we worked hard with our team for this and ..this is really not just something (that was easy). One night, I got a call from my friend from work before. She told me to pitch a concept for a music video. That'
s when I saw that this was exactly the style of my vision in the works I do. (It was easy because everyone had a clear direction on where we want to go and how we want to approach this song.) Everything looks beautiful. From our previous music videos ..when it comes to creative direction, ..we were always involved and had suggestions. We don't want to end up not liking what was made because we didn't get involved. Right now, even if we haven't been involved ..we're surprised and even very happy
with the results. We've been together for many years and we talk among ourselves, but ..it's very nice to see a different perspective on how we could present our art. When he presented his vision for the MV, We said "Wow! It's the same with how we have envisioned it." (We want to treat is as artfully and as tastefully done.) (There. Focus on the eyes.) We are somewhat a wholesome group ..and we are also very responsible for our listeners. We know that we have a lot of supporters ..so we make su
re that all of the things we put out will be acceptable for our listeners. Later. Later. (Let's try that pose for real.) Of course the essence and the intimacy is still there and the fans will be able to feel it ..because this is really different from our previous releases. The sexiness and intimacy should reflect on our ..actions even if we just make small movements like our gaze or just by a simple moving of the hand. This kind of music video is the hardest to execute ..because we really didn'
t need big movements to express the feeling we want to portray. I'm excited because we got the shots that we needed ..with the lighting, and the compositions. I think it's more than enough. Josh: Whoah! Have you been here? Wow! - I want you! I want you! Pablo: There are people here. Josh: Let's sit here.. on the VIP seats. This is very exciting because it's the first time we will film under water. I shouldn't be nervous, but I am because there's a lot of people watching. I kept telling myself, "
Go! Go!", but deep inside I was nervous ..because my body ..in my mind, "Shucks! I only know how to swim." I wasn't able to measure how deep I was already It was really my mind that's my enemy at that time. I kept thinking, "Will I be able to hold my breath long enough? I might find it hard resurfacing." "This is enough. Pose for a bit and swim back up." The good thing about them is they're all ready. They are all very professional and easy to work with. One of my fears is going deep under water
. (How are you able to do your shots?) I close my eyes and I do everything I can for our MV and for art. I am not that good of a swimmer. I found it a bit difficult because there were certain poses that we had to hold for a time. I was so deep under water that my ears started ringing. I thought of nothing, but to portray my body movements elegantly ..so that the viewers will feel the emotions I want to express. I felt the weight on me. (Right? You kept on going straight down.) (Is this your favo
rite shot now?) Ken: Yeah! (We haven't done any stunt like this before.) (I feel like what we're doing right now are for stuntmen.) Their shots are very creative. I thought I was going to drown while filming, but ..this is an experience I can't miss. This is one of my fears that I was able to eliminate. For the whole of Day 2's filming, my nerves went away ..because I felt like I can trust everyone so I enjoyed that experience a lot. The whole music video ..the visuals, the feeling, and the emo
tion that the MV gave was so unexpected. It's like a different mix of emotions that were combined together and you don't know how to express them. Through our own experiences in life, we can find new and different meanings for it. I feel happy and thrilled like .."This looks good! That looks nice! The shot is full of angst!" ..like that. It's full of surprises all through out. It's overwhelming like, "Shucks, it's beautiful! Are these really us? It's like you're painting your emotion. It's like
the type of painting that is difficult to understand, but ..you get a lot of emotions from it. Aside from it being overwhelming, it's very surprising. It's like half of it is straight to the point and half has an underlying meaning with the overlays. It's like that. It's like you would feel the need to breath. Inhale. Exhale. It had moments like that. I felt it. The best work will come out if it's collaborative. When everybody is in it together, that's where the beauty of the work comes out. Eve
ryone was really ready to ..to make and film beautiful shots for the MV of "I want you". It is also really important that you have trust for the people around you. To the team that worked on this for us and made it beautiful, we are satisfied and very thankful. Our excitement when this gets released is ..over the top because we know they will have different reactions towards it. I didn't expect that we will be able to make something like this, but I am sure that they will love it.

Huling-huli talaga ni Ken ung atensyon ko. Whenever he speaks, he moves, he swims, and even just sitting, mapapako talaga tingin sa kanya. His facial expressions are unexplainably beautiful. He's like a work of art. No exaggerations. Ken Suson/Felip, ano pa ba kaya mong gawin? Haba na ng resume mo. 😍

@drasparrow2735

Ken has this kind of subconscious understanding of art and an equally impressive capacity to express it. You see it in his choice of words, his actions and intentions. He had a vision and just let himself do it, that dive ended up looking so beautiful that you just have to show it. The funny thing is I don't even think he has a good grasp of how artistic he is. He just seems to just do things spontaneously and unwittingly making it very artistic.

@sb19-pinunongpablo41
