Da muss ich also fast 70 Jahre alt sein, um solch gut gemachte Kurzfilme zu sehen. Und nachdenklich bin ich auch, genau wie der Feldwebel in der Schluß Szene. Danke für diesen Auftritt!

@jeremy28135

This was, in my opinion, very well done. It was done in 1 shot, the randomness of the advance, the fumbling of the STG 44 clip is unlike the movies, very realistic and representative of the true nerves experienced by soldiers when under fire. Thank you for this, I enjoyed it very much 🏆

@AurumLuxuria

Mein Favorit von all euren Werken. Die schauspielerische Leistung, die Kameraführung, die authentische Wehrmachtsausrüstung und das herbstliche Waldstück zusammen ergeben ein wahres Meisterwerk.

@rjs3590

Did anyone notice that there isn't a single cut in the entire thing? Everything about this was 10/10. Incredibly well done.

@erepsekahs

Notice they did not shoot the camera man. There's a message here....always be the camera man.

@TheCatBilbo

In about six minutes you lose comrades, cut-down in an instant. People you may have spent months, or years, fighting alongside. Perhaps you trained together, knew them in civilian life. Now they're gone, just like that. Their friends & family will never see them again; perhaps, they will have a grave to visit, but many won't even have that small comfort - just some faded photographs & a few medals. You may be thousands of miles from home, fighting to the death with strangers in some random woodland. It is terrifying & surreal, it may affect you for the rest of your life. War is not glorious, it is mass insanity.

@naderramadan5587

Great production. Hats off! This goes to show you that you don't just fight war, you survive it.

@tremainetreerat5176

Excellent cinematography, the way the footage was shot gives an uncommonly realistic sense of accompanying the soldiers (particularly the "Zugführer"/squad leader) during the assault. Almost like the viewer is an invisible observer, love it. A good example of how this technique changes your viewing experience--you see the protagonist's realization of and reaction to the presence of a hostile shooter in the tree above him. Then, the enemy sniper up in the tree falls vertically into, and once again out of, your line of your of sight. The camera perspective is continuous & fixed level, as it would be if you were standing there looking at your squad leader...blink and you miss it. It makes all the difference when contrasted with the normal movie style in which you would suddenly cut to a new shot looking up at the tree from sufficiently far away to see how the sniper is positioned in the tree, how far up he is, what he looks like possibly even, then the impact of the bullets into him and his fall, before cutting to the next shot. In respect to realistic immersion, i mean

I'm glad this short film doesn't have insane Hollywood muzzle flashes. 10/10

@kristov29

A drink of water. One final expression of humanity. No one wants to die alone.

@huggniceman4975

Literally the first time in film/shows/games that I have seen someone fire an STG44/MP44 on semi auto. This is amazing all around. A lot of productions use over-the-top action and gore to drive up the intensity, but this was so tense, and most tension came during the inter-combat periods. Just them waiting to see where they would be attacked from next, it was so good!

@christopher9979

Very human, very well done. IMHO depicting the small unit aspect of warfare really shows how a war may be a large event but everyone involved is really fighting their own individual war.

@MGood-ij1hi

No machismo just fear, confusion , chaos and fumbling , in a situation where everyone  one side is just as subject to being killed as their enemy. A mature depiction of war.

@Eli-ds3wh

Shoutout to the cameraman not getting hit even though he was the only one not taking cover Respecc

@Wolshanze

So impressed with these short films, the production values are amazing along with accuracy of the uniforms etc ...

@bubblegumbabeface6629

Whoa. This gave me chills how realistic this combat was. No Hollywood overexaggerating. Again Im insanely impressed. Good job you guys!

@1anre

This group that made this clip should be given more money to make proper 2hr films.

@bluebirdy_soulbehndamask4081

War is a horrible thing; apart from a game, It doesn't matter if you win or lose it, you're really just glad its over...

@alecvillarreal9865

This is awesome! Beats all that Hollywood nonsense we get nowadays. The sounds effects are amazing and the realism aspect of the firearms. Beautiful work!
