Wake up in the morning Get outside Cortisol and daylight Open your eyes We move and jump around Throughout the day It helps us fall asleep The right way It’s what I need Until I sleep Outside in the daylight So we can sleep at night If not, then tomorrow Maybe we’ll get it right Don’t eat too late When you’ve had enough Or our sleep cycle Cannot keep up See the sun before it sets For one last time Like our ancestors did To stay in time The light it wakes us up Dark brings us down So dim the ligh
ts before the night time comes around Lower cortisol Melatonin rise Blue filter on our phones We close our eyes It’s what I need Until I sleep Outside in the daylight So we can sleep at night If not, then tomorrow Maybe we’ll get it right Keep it nice and cool To fall asleep Hear nature’s sounds I’m blissful counting sheep Outside in the daylight So we can sleep at night If not, then tomorrow Maybe we'll get it right
