One thing about New York that you never get to hear about in videos whether it in a film or something else, it's that this city stinks a lot. It doesn't even come, Oh my God, the skyline is gone. need to book a 30 minutes long helicopter ride. When you visit, you can choose the shortest ride for 15 minutes, that's worth it the most. It's the same thing with the Empire State Building. Even there, you don't necessarily need to go up to the top floor.
