The MOST FAMILY FRIENDLY Place in the World?? Traveling with Kids in Portugal /// WEEK 88 : Portugal

We hope you will LIKE our video and COMMENT below. We always love to hear from YOU!! Hello from Portugal! We really enjoyed our time in Portugal! The people, the food, the beach, the architecture, the history.. were all just incredible. We worked with Martinhal and experienced two of the most impressive family resorts ever! We stayed a few nights in Lisbon enjoying the city. Martinhal provides incredible child care so Garrett and I were able to go out on a date night through Black Tomato. Black Tomato helped us arrange a bucket list evening out exploring the city on motorcycle sidecars and then finished the evening at a Michelin star restaurant, Alma. We took the train down to the southwest coast of Portugal to Sagres. We enjoyed the warmer weather and many of the activities that Martinhal offers. Also, earlier this week we announced that we are gifting 3 different families trips for Christmas. We will be flying all over the United States to surprise them and gifting them Southwest flights, Marriott Rewards, GoPros, adventure bands, new luggage, and more! You can nominate your own family or another family here : www.thebucketlistfamily.com/tblf-is-coming-to-town. Thank you Portugal for the very warm welcome and THANK YOU Martinhal for an incredible family adventure! (light upbeat music) (laughing) (Dorthy inhaling and exclaiming) - My pack pack. - Yeah. - Roll call. Daddy, here. Mommy? - Here. - Dorthy? - Here. - Manilla? - Here. - [Together] Ah! - Good morning. - From? - Portugal! - Portugal! (light upbeat music) - Five. - Five. - We have met and had some of the kindest people reach out to us, welcome us, give us tips. Portuguese people are very sincere. - I agree. - Thank you so much. - Usually we make these lists of where countries rank in certain differ
ent categories and, Portugal, you're at the top of two lists for sure. Very, very hospitable and very, very humble because this place is amazing. Portuguese people are amazing but they're just so humble. - Yeah, so we flew into Lisbon. - Shh, everyone quiet. (Dorthy chuckles) Is he asleep? - Nilla? - You're so cute. - You're so cute. - So this week is super special because we're working with a really, really special resort called Martinhal. I can not wait to tell you all about because it is real
ly, really cool for families. - Welcome to my house. The shoes go right here. Here's the bathroom. Don't worry, that's not stinky. This bed is for Mommy and Daddy. Look outside! Whoa. This ones the living room. This is the kitchen. This is for my sister Dorthy. This is my favorite part, it's a car! (happy music) - A baby potty. - A baby potty? - The baby potty. - Oh, it's so cute. - Awe, it's so tiny like this. - So tiny, like this. - Guys, have you ever been so excited to be in a bathroom? - Uh
, no. - [Garrett] Uh no. (chuckles) - So Garret and I were able to have some really special Mommy and Daddy time, alone. Because Martinhal has such a great kids club, we were able to drop them off and go out on a date. There's a tour group called Black Tomato and they specialize in really unique experiences all over the world. And they set us up with an experience here in Lisbon that was unbelievable. - So cool, so much fun. - Bucket list experience. - Just super unique. Motorcycle side cars thr
ough the city. - What are you doing here? - Gotta change the hairdo. (upbeat music) (chuckling) (upbeat music) ♪ 'Cause I always have to steal my kisses from you ♪ ♪ I always have to steal my kisses from you ♪ - Okay, tell them about the video you saw. The surfing video. - Oh, so I see this video of a dude surfing, literally, the biggest wave in the world and he gets smashed. These waves are just massive and, coincidentally, I find out they're not far from Lisbon. So one day we get really over z
ealous as parents and we decide, let's rent a car for the day, drive from Lisbon, go see the biggest waves in the world and we arrive to the lighthouse and we're ready to see the biggest waves in the world and it was just maybe the most calm day in the history of that place. - [Jessica] Woo, Manilla is surfing the wave, his shadow is. Did you know that? Good job, buddy. - But it was cool, it was a really pretty sunset and then we got to go from there to the soccer match. USA versus Portugal. And

I like don't even want to say everything because I'll miss something. But we had a really, really special time. - Okay, I've been waiting to tell you this story, can I tell you the pool story? - Okay, gosh go. - 'Kay, lemme see if I can tell this correctly. Pools just don't have deep ends anymore. I don't know what we're doing as people. But these pools hav

I'm swimming all around, playing and Jessica is on the steps with our kids and I'm clear on the other side and I always love to swim from one side to the other in one breath. So I look up and I see Jessica and I'm like alright, one breath, do this. I dive down, I don't have a mask, I'm just opening my eyes under water without any goggles. I'm swimming towards Jessica, swimming, holding my breath as long as I can, and I get to the end and I see Jessica's whit
e feet in the water, like in the shallow end and I still have a little bit of breath so I kind of do this creepy I'm gonna get your toes. (chuckling) I see her kinda, like, back up, and so I creep forward a little more, and then they like start backing up faster so I start coming after her, like a crocodile, and all of a sudden I go to like, I grab the foot and I come out. My first thought is, that's hairy. That is a rough, course foot and I come out of the water and it's some dude. - Did you no
t have your goggles on? - No it was just my eyes, no goggles. - Oh, gosh. - All I saw were white feet and I thought they were your white feet, and I'm creeping at them and they're backing up and I grab it, some white dude is looking at me like, dude, get off my feet, and I'm looking up just like, terrified. - What did you say? - I didn't say anything I just went (inhales). - Are you for real? - I just made a weird sound and went back under water and then swam as far away as I possibly could. The
look on his eyes. (upbeat music) (laughing) Good job. Ready, buddy? Oh my gosh, Mom, watch. I wonder if you can hit it. Oh, oh, let go. - [Jessica] You got it! - 'Kay, one more, one more. Let go. (laughs) - Woo! - All by yourself. Not even helping. - [Jessica] Come on, babe. - What! - [Jessica] What the! Right in the middle, Dorthy wins. If you are looking for a family friendly and legit the most family friendly location. - We found it, this is it. - Look no further. - The thing that brought us
to Martinhal, so many people would be like, hey you're a traveling family, and if you're a family that likes to travel, there's a place that you need to check out. It's just famous for being so family friendly. It's in Portugal and it's called Martinhal. Have you noticed how they've been pronouncing that? Mart-en-el? - Yeah, I think we're saying Martinhal wrong. I'm pretty sure, it's Mart-en-al - They pronounce it Mart-en-al. And also I said we went to a place called Nazari, I think it's Neh-za
r-eh. - Yeah, our Portuguese pronunciation isn't that great, so sorry. Well and it's like Sar-gayze or something like that. Like, they have there, sorry we're butchering your proper nouns. - Not even sure if we're saying Portugal right but there's this place next to Spain and we love it. (chuckles) I've just got to say, last week we put for sale these black adventure bands that represent kindness. Speaking of kindness, you guys came through so well and they sold out within the very first day. It
is a limited addition so I don't know if we're gonna post them for sale ever again. So lemme just say, thank you so much. We're trying to do more good in the world but it's impossible unless we have your support and you supported so well. - So here's a little more info about our Christmas surprise this December. So we announced earlier this week on our social media, that we are going to be gifting three different families vacations and adventure packages. We're going to be flying all over the c
ountry with Southwest Airlines and gifting trips and vacations with Marriott Rewards and GoPros and Adventure Bands and luggage. Everything you would need for a family adventure. - This is how it's gonna happen is if you check out our Instagram, there's all the details and at this link, which will be below in the description. You can nominate your own family or a family you know that you think is deserving of a special trip this year. We will travel around the US. We're gonna find three families
, knock on their door, and surprise them. And if you nominate that family then you, as the nominator, you need to be our secret accomplice, super sneaky, so that we can surprise this family together with you. And you might need to pick us up from the airport, and find us a good place for lunch. - So this was our final stop abroad until baby, right? Maybe, maybe. - Probably. We say that, but let's be honest. - We're going back to the states next. - This is country number 49, so we probably need t
o sneak in one more before the baby comes, if any countries out there want to invite us, and they want to be country number 50 for our family, we need one more to reach 50. Alright, so USA we're coming for ya. We're gonna be there for Thanksgiving and Christmas and the birth of our baby in a few months. - Yes, Daddy. - [Garret] What'd you draw? - Daddy. - Who is this? - Mommy. - Who is this? - DD. - Who's this? - Nilla. - Who's this? - Daddy. - One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nin
e, 10. - Good job! - You did it! - [Jessica] On your marks, get set, go! Ooh. Do you know what these are?
