when I saw the groom came to the horse crying I couldn't hold myself and uh I thought what this hor is just phenomenal as a jokey for so many years maybe I realized that uh I rode perfection for me his present from that Equinox with that big white Blaze everyone needs to see this horse that was utterly [Music] brilliant M check uh Kristoff what would what did you have for breakfast I had a toast with cheese and ham the image that Equinox gave to everybody was quite special I think he he had that
image because he had so much talent that even somebody who doesn't know much about horses or horse racing just could see that he was special from his debut he had a big self-confidence and after winning post I thought wow this one is going to become [Music] something I used to compare him to you and Bol you know uh the perfect athlete for this this job for this port he was strong enough to take off and light enough to fly the 200 M the fu course in Tokyo the 10 no show autum Fielder set stand b
y they're ready and they're off inside Mar Elena commence well but there goes Jack door as expected to be honest uh on the back stretch because of my position I couldn't see panasa and leads out by eight lengths panasa rolls on in front from bab I noticed that he was so far away when I put Equinox out coming to the straet I thought can I catch him they're coming steaming late Equinox charging home late panas is there they hit the wire Equinox we didn't do it uh by a short neck or something we we
did it by one and a half or two length and it was really a question of whether he could get there in time but perfect timing I'd say from Kristoff L Equinox for me this light blue and red sport silk is special for me because few years ago I used to ride almond die good on your girl in the last I she was very special to me and to the racing fans the host who got the the group one record uh in Japan so um yeah silk racing uh silk is uh very special to [Music] me we joies and trainers we we felt v
ery lonely without the the crowd during the the pandemic but definitely to have that big crowd that we were used to on Nakayama race course for for the mckin was of course big [Applause] thr the mckin is is really a special race in Japan all the champion horses in Japan took part of this event racing away where alonai didn't succeed Equinox did win that arima kin that important arima kin Equinox goes to the front the son of K black has a two or three legs Marg Mar at Bulldog H geraldin is crashi
ng home late it will be Equinox is AD mid and Equinox wins and Kristoff lir once again Equinox has shown his his class everybody on the race course noticed that Equinox was a true champion and uh from that point I thought well Equinox is uh no more beatable by any horse in Japan let's see how he can do about in Dubai for once uh when he when he entered the track I thought he was uh he was fresh and he would be very keen during the race Equinox was a bit excited by the lights and the crowd and um
and all this big atmosphere in in Dubai reading the form there was no horses to to make the running so I thought okay it's the first time in Dubai he's the best horse of the race in my opinion let's play like strong guys I had no fear to to let him run early on and Equinox wasting no time here immediately to the front is the car following uh in the inside track uh he just looked around and uh put his ears in front and then uh his talent did the rest Equinox is still going strong here is the Tit
an of the world's CH he is INX he starts for Japan you know Larry has I know him very well and he's got always the good word to express what everybody can see on the track you know against uh English horses tough horses you have to be a Titan to win a race like this so I think it was the the proper word for equinox on that [Music] day the takarazuka kinen is um a little bit tricky race we run on on the the inner track of honin race course so the straight is quite short joies have to be careful o
f not being too far back or to go too quick early on many champion horses lost uh in that particular race so to be honest I was a bit worried even if I had confidence on Equinox I was worried about how can I give my horse the best ride I didn't do that well the horse stumbl a little bit uh at the start and you lost momentum to get the position so from the start I was um I was in trouble geraldina settled quite well on the UT but quite a away back and so to his Equinox so I said okay I'm going to
ride a quiet race at the back of the field and let's see what happened uh coming to the last corner but as they head to the final turn now widest of all Runners is Equinox with the big white face looming large now in last Corner uh I decided to come uh on the outside because the inside track was was was terrible and here comes Equinox the world's highest rated race horse and he's going to be that today as well Equinox up towards the line Equinox wins it from through S C's and then came Justin P
aris to be honest I was lucky it was Equinox uh to win that race uh what he did was uh was was very special and uh on that proper race I I have to say that Equinox W not not the joy we used to say that good hes make a good joies I just ride him safely he did the job the impression that everybody had when when we saw him on the track was definitely the best um evidence that he was made for racing for me tenos show has always been a very special race because there's only one tenos show in the worl
d the emperor's cup is only in Japan on that day uh the emperor was on the St and he was watching us they're off for racing shows early face with the Mars in the third space all away and is guazu goes on back to then comes down Ona I realized uh that we we broke the record when I when I watched the the clock I thought uh wow just wow he will go on and win it's by how much and Equinox goes back to back in the Teno show that feeling was very special to to go for the emperor it means a lot I'm stil
l a bit uh emotional by this moment [Music] i s after the Teno show the horse would improve uh in condition I had no fear about the horse ability to perform [Music] again his groom also told me that the horse was at his best very confident not not stressed no big pressure like oh what will happen if I lose or something uh no I was just focused very concentrated uh but very [Music] [Music] confident when you sew in Walking In The Paddock Before the Race he was very calm and confident as soon as h
e went onto the track he knew already what he had to do for the star Japan kep their own star orders and they're off and racing to the Roar of the crowd and they all get away well [Applause] after the winning post okay I was relieved I was very confident Before the Race we did the job I was relieved and I thought I'm going to have a a good moment uh for the rest of the day you know then when I came back to the St and I saw the people reaction then I thought oh that's not like usual uh there is s
omething more in the air and [Music] um when I saw the groom came to the horse crying um I couldn't hold myself and uh I said what this horse is just [Music] phenomenal at the end when he retired he just reach his Peck as a mature athlete he he was at his best in my [Music] opinion Lot F yeah I said that with alai you know and I couldn't expect to to Rel uh and to ride such a good horse um but it happened and um I feel blessed to to have that [Music] opportunity
