Mr Chu I think your company is uh unique among the ones represented here today because of its uh ownership uh by bite dance a uh Chinese company and I know there have been some steps that you've taken uh to uh wall off the data collected here in the United States but the fact of the matter is that under Chinese law and Chinese National Intelligence laws all information accumulated by companies in the People's Republic of China are required to be shared with the Chinese intelligence Services [Mus

Unlike Tim Cotton's questions these are actually fair questions to ask. Keep in mind that they ask some seemingly "dumb" questions so the questions and answers get on the official record while they're under oath. Tim Cotton's questions however were just ignorant and useless.
This senator at least did not ask irrelevant questions which did not flow logically from prior answers.
at least John Cornyn is asking proper questions and allowing the other party to answer, unlike those clowns Hawley, Cotton and Ted
To be honest, these questions are okay. I heard way worse.
Just imagine if all countries in world grill Facebook, Google and Whatsapp CEO about sharing Personal and security information to US Military and Government.🙏🇮🇳
American Government knows their tech giants are outposts for U.S. intel agencies and think the whole world does the same... 🤣
This senator is at least decent enough to ask a genuine question and was patient enough to wait for a complete answer
US senators never fail to amuse me with their stupidity and ignorance about the world outside of american politics.
We need an SNL Skit.
Don’t waste bloody time with these pathetic us lawmakers. Bunch of hypocrites.
The old guard is scared to loose its position of superiority… they thought it was God given and eternal
Kasihan kemunduran intlektual , kecerdasan yang di tunjukan sebagian besar segala lapisan masyarakat Amerika 😂😂
There are 3 Americans on tiktok board. Why didn't Senator ask, " Are they ccp members?😂😂😂
What about holding the parents accountable, they provided the electronic devices to the children to access the web. Did the parents tell the children not to access inappropriate sites and if so, did they take away the devices from the undisciplined child? Don't blame the greater society for parental and children shortcomings. Set and enforce rules for your household before laying fault at others doorsteps.
Data collected by Google or Facebook are shared by and to the US govt so why are US senators so worried of data shared with the Chinese govt? Data sharing is mutuly beneficial unless one has other plan in mind which the US had done over and over again.
American moral hazard is just the beginning.
When enemies fight against enemies, there's always one of them who lose and died in vain. This debate is one example.
All big companies give your info to respective government, even facebook does that
So, you're saying that US government doesn't have access to google, facebook etc. user data?
US government love China❤ never fail to mention
