Number 15. Lauren Dumolo The missing persons case of Lauren Dumolo
remains unsolved after nearly 3 years and has led investigators down a wild road filled with
twists, turns and an unending string of unanswered questions. The victim’s family is still seeking
answers about what happened to their loved one. On June 19th, 2020, Lauren's boyfriend, Gabriel
Pena, woke up for work as usual around 6 a.m. and kissed his girlfriend goodbye. Lauren had a
daily routine of waking up around 8 a.m. every
day to visit the Four Freedoms Park in Cape Coral,
Florida, just a 6-minute walk from her apartment. A witness later reported that Lauren stuck to
her daily schedule on that day as she was seen leaving the park around 8:30 a.m. After this
she approached a maintenance man that worked at her apartment complex and asked him about cheaper
apartments in the area. This witness told police that she stated she was looking for somewhere
new to start over because she wanted to leave the situation sh
e was in. This vague statement would
later make much more sense after investigators learned of the turmoil she faced in the weeks
leading up to her disappearance. On that same day, when Gabriel came home from work around 10 p.m.,
his girlfriend was nowhere to be found. He called her father, Paul Dumolo, and asked what he should
do. Paul told Gabriel to report her as missing, and Gabriel assured him he would file a report.
However, when Paul didn’t hear news of his daughter by the 21st of Ju
ne, he reached out
to the Cape Coral police department himself. Investigators there informed him that no report
had been filed in Lauren’s case. Once Paul finally reported his daughter missing, an extensive search
was sparked into action. Investigators found that Lauren had embarked on a recovery journey
after a history of substance abuse. On June 1st, police were called to the Four Freedoms Park after
witnesses saw Lauren jump into a basin near a hotel and watched her swim back to the publ
ic
lake in the park She was described as acting “erratically”. She told doctors and her father
that she felt as though she was being followed and her life was in danger. A short time after she
was reported missing, her purse, wallet, keys and a pair of her shoes were found under a tree at the
park. In the early stages of the investigation, surveillance footage from a nearby gas station was
uncovered. The footage was captured on June 18th, the day before Lauren vanished. The footage
shows h
er turning in a job application to the gas station. Lauren was in the midst of a custody
battle over her young daughter and needed the job to help her in the process. This simple gesture
showed that Lauren was serious about getting on the right path, making it more unlikely that
she left of her own free will. On June 23rd, while Lauren's sister was searching her apartment,
Gabriel came by to pick up his TV and told her that Lauren “obviously” wasn’t coming back. He
refused to elaborate. Dur
ing that same visit, he provided Lauren's sister with her fully charged
cell phone, with no answer as to how he had found it or why he had not shared it with investigators.
It’s important to note that, at this time, Gabriel is not officially considered a suspect. However,
the victim's family has expressed distrust of her boyfriend and his actions subsequent to Lauren’s
disappearance. On July 2nd, search members found a shirt that belonged to Lauren, thrown to the shore
near the water. Inves
tigators believe that this piece of evidence was planted due to previous
searches of the area failing to uncover it. On July 20th, the Cape Coral police department
provided cadaver dogs to search the park. Strangely, the dogs seemed to follow a scent to
Lauren’s mother’s home - just across the street from the park. This raised even more questions,
but sadly, ultimately led to a dead end. The search has covered a vast area which
has slowly made its way across the country. Countless areas of
wilderness and bodies of water
have been thoroughly searched, yet there have been no new updates on Lauren Dumolo’s disappearance in
nearly 3 years. Her family is still searching for answers and her case remains open and active.

suddenly went missing on August 12th, 2013, in Pensacola, Florida. Now, over 9 years after
her initial disappearance, investigators are still searching for any significant leads. Her
family still believes that she is somewhere out there waiting to be found. At the time of her
disappearance, Tiffany was working as a theater technician at Pensacola State College.
She seemed
to be thriving and loving her life which made it hard to believe that she would walk away from
it all or take her own life. On August 11th, 2013, the day before she vanished, Tiffany had a
celebratory breakfast with her boyfriend, who had recently been accepted into a robotics program in
Austin. According to her roommate Gary Nichols, Tiffany seemed to be in a sad and lethargic mood
for the rest of the day, which friends attributed to her boyfriend’s impending departure. That
ni
ght Nichols and Tiffany watched a movie and went to bed at an early hour. Around 5 a.m. the next
morning, Nichols said that he heard the front door opening and closing multiple times, but he found
that Tiffany was still asleep and the door was securely locked, with no intruders in sight. Later
that morning, Tiffany left for work around 7 a.m., which was earlier than usual. Oddly, everyone that
knew her reported she was never an early person, and it was routine for her to leave
at the last m
inute nearly every day. Tiffany arrived at work and asked her boss if she
could leave early that day and take a few days off from work, but she didn’t explain why, only saying
that she had to “take care of some things”. She clocked out of work that day at 4:43 p.m. By 10p.m
that night, Nichols returned home from work and noticed Tiffany wasn’t home. He called his own
daughter, Noel, for her opinion and he assured him not to worry as Tiffany was probably out with
friends. The following day,
Nichols arrived home to find that the power had been shut off. Worried
that Tiffany hadn’t paid her share of the bill, he made an effort to reach her and, when he could
not, made the decision to call her mother Cindy. She was immediately concerned, and Nichols, Noel
and Cindy began calling everyone they knew that was close to Tiffany. She had still not returned
to work and none of her friends had seen her. Finally, the police got involved and Detective
Daniel Harnett paid a visit to Tiffany
's home. Inside her room he found that she had left behind
her tent, which ruled out the possibility that she had gone on an impromptu camping trip. He also
discovered that after work on the day she went missing, Tiffany made a quick stop at her home.
However, Nichols reported that he didn’t notice her presence, despite supposedly being home at
the time. A few days after this, the news media picked up the story, which led to the discovery of
one of the biggest pieces of evidence in the case
. Tiffany’s car had been found parked in Park West
near Fort Pickens. Inside the car was her bike, cell phone, purse, wallet, clothes, paintings,
a jug of water and a jar of peanut butter. Witnesses later stated that the car had only
been parked there for 2 days, despite it being found nearly 8 days after she went missing.
They also shared that they had seen a man in red shorts coming out of the car when it was first
parked there but didn’t see anything after that. Investigators found finge
rprints belonging
to an unknown male on the door handle and steering wheel, but they were unable to
identify the person they belonged to. A review of highway toll footage showed Tiffany’s
car passing over the Pensacola Beach Bridge on August 12th around 7 p.m., about 3 hours after
the missing woman had left work. It was unclear from the footage who was driving the car, though.
Investigators were able to dismiss both Nichols and Tiffany’s boyfriend as suspects as both
had verifiable alibis
and no foul play could be clearly identified. A search team went to work,
combing through nearby woodland paths and the beach waters. Nothing useful was found. The case
went cold after some time, but the victim’s family carried on their search. In January 2014, an odd
tip was sent in by a waitress at a restaurant in Metairie, Louisiana. She claimed to have seen a
woman matching Tiffany’s description come in with 2 other women. Only one of the women spoke to the
waitress and the others seeme
d scared and timid. The waitress recognized one of the women as
matching Tiffany’s description and noticed that she asked if a soup she was planning to order
was made with chicken or fish broth. As a devoted pescatarian, Tiffany’s family noted that this is
likely something that their loved one would have done. However, the three women left in a hurry
after the waitress grew suspicious, and there was no security footage available from the restaurant,
so this tip never went anywhere. Despite
this and a handful of other reported sightings in the
years since her disappearance, Tiffany Daniels remains a missing person to this day. You can
contact the Pensacola Police Department at 1-850–435–1900 if you have any tips or details
about Tiffany's disappearance or whereabouts. Information can also be reported to the National
Missing and Unidentified Persons System. Number 13. The Hothfield Man The case of the Hothfield Man follows the
story of an unidentified John Doe that was found de
ceased in a sleeping bag on the side of
the road in Ashford, Kent, England, on May 25th, 1983. Due to a lack of technology and
forensics at the time of the incident, details surrounding the case vary from source to
source. In the early morning hours of May 25th, passersby reported seeing a man asleep on the
side of the road, in a grassy boulevard. They were concerned for the man's safety and
hoped police would get him off the road. When officers arrived, they made the shocking
discovery th
at the victim was no longer alive. He was brought in for an autopsy. Some records
reported that the cause of death was an overdose, while others insist natural causes were to
blame. The man was found with no identification, no money and only a few camping items. He
was dressed in many layers of clothing, which seemed odd to investigators because his
fate occurred in the spring months of the year, and weather had been warm and comfortable.
After the body was brought in, local media began cov
ering the story in an attempt to help identify
the victim. No one from the public came forward to provide information about the Doe or to reveal
his identity. In the midst of the investigation, 2 officers were brought in who said that they had
details pertaining to the case. Apparently, 3 days before the Doe was found, police had interacted
with him. It’s unclear why officers were called to the scene, but important information was uncovered
in the short interview. Doe explained to the offic
ers that he didn’t have ID or money on him
because he was taking part in a bet with friends. He claimed that he and his friends were all going
to set out on their own and travel with little to no possessions, just to see if they could survive
the endeavor. This was clearly a dangerous game, but investigators had reason to believe that
either Doe was lying or that he had been set up by his friends. A letter was found in Doe’s
back pocket that was addressed to a man named Jack Simpson in Aust
ralia. The contents of the
letter were never released by the police but it’s important to note that the address was to a sort
of post-office, implying that Jack Simpson may not have had a fixed address or his address was not
known at the time. The investigation began to go cold after no new leads or evidence was unveiled.
The biggest piece of information that the team had was the claim that this Doe was participating in a
bet. It seemed that if he had friends who actually knew about the cha
llenge, or had any idea where
he was, they would eventually set out looking for him. News coverage of the case eventually
went international, making it even more likely that his friends – wherever they were – would
have spotted him and come forward. Of course, the common belief amongst the investigative team
was that this story about a “bet” was completely fictional or was part of a lie to conceal the
man's true intentions. He could have been running from a crime he committed and was hoping
to
escape justice by flying under the radar. 40 years have now passed since the discovery of the
Hothfield Man’s body and this strange case remains unsolved. For any information in identifying the
Hothfield Man, also known as the Ashford John Doe, please contact the UK Missing Persons
Unit with the case number 06-025589. Number 12. Kris Kremers and Lisanne Froon Graduating from college is a huge accomplishment
that deserves to be celebrated. This is exactly what 21-year-old Kris Kremers an
d 22-year-old
Lisanne Froon planned to do while on a trip abroad in Panama after Froon’s graduation. The plan was
for the two Dutch women to spend about 6 weeks in Panama sightseeing, hiking, learning Spanish
and volunteering their time to locals in need. When the girls arrived in Panama on March 15th,
2014, the trip was off to a great start. According to their reports to their families, the women
had spent the first 2 weeks backpacking across the country and were loving every minute of
it
. On March 29th Kremers and Froon found a local family in the quaint village of Boquete,
Chiriquí that took them in. The plan was for them to stay there for a month while they worked as
volunteers with a local school and with children. That plan came to a tragic end when the girls
went missing just a few days after their arrival in Boquete. It was well-known that the girls
had a love for nature and hiking. In fact, they were well educated and experienced when it
came to the outdoors. So, it
was of no surprise or concern to those that knew them that one
of the first things they wanted to do during their stay was check out a local hiking trail.
The El Pianista trail was just a short distance from their temporary hometown and immediately
attracted their attention. According to reports, the pair left for their adventure around 11:00
a.m. on April 1st, 2014, with their backpacks. Witnesses reported seeing Kremers and Froon at
a local brunch restaurant with 2 Dutch men just an hour
or so after they departed from their
accommodations. According to some sources, they brought along a dog that belonged to the
owners of the restaurant they had stopped at. This was the last time the girls were ever seen
alive. That night, according to some sources, the restaurant owners became concerned when
their dog walked home without the girls. Though concerned citizens tried to reach them via cell
phone, they assumed they weren’t receiving a good signal in the forest, an assumption th
at
the investigation would later confirm. 2 more days passed without a word from the girls.
Prior to their disappearance, they always made sure to text their loved ones every single day
without fail, making the sudden silence all the more distressing. Finally, on April 3rd, they
were reported missing and by April 6th, their families arrived in Panama from the Netherlands
to work with local law enforcement. The search went on for ten days before the case began to
go cold. However, a huge pi
ece of evidence was discovered on June 14th when Froon’s backpack was
turned in after being found by a riverbank. The contents included the girl's phones, 2 pairs of
sunglasses, 2 bras, 83 dollars in cash, Froon’s passport and her camera. Investigators found that
the phones had been used over the course of 2 days. There were apparently numerous call attempts
to 911 but the lack of signal caused the calls to drop. Eventually, Froon’s phone died. Kremers'
phone had still been turned on a few
times, likely to search for a signal. From April 5th to
April 11th, Kremers’ phone was randomly turned on several times, but the wrong PIN code was entered
too often and the phone locked access. The images found on Froon’s camera all seemed to have been
taken by accident; the images were blurry and taken in pitch dark night, and nothing that could
point to the fate of the girls was visible in the photos. A few months after they were last seen the
girls were found - but it was sadly not a ha
ppy ending. Their skeletal remains were discovered
scattered throughout the area. Testing later confirmed that the bones – including a foot still
inside a hiking boot and a pelvic bone – belonged to Kremers and Froon. What happened to these
young women in the jungle remains a mystery, and their loved ones are still searching
for answers in their disappearance. Number 11. Owen Harding As the COVID-19 virus began to spread
rapidly in early 2020, countries across the world began implementing n
ew rules and
regulations. The practices included curfews, full blown lockdowns and extensive travel bans.
Everyone faced their own problems with these rules and cases of “lockdown casualties” began to
arise. This term refers to people that lost their lives as a result of limited movement trapping
people within their homes and communities, separating loved ones from one another and
potentially intensifying mental illness. It may not seem serious looking back, but one
mother from Saltdean, E
ngland has voiced her son’s story and directly connects his disappearance to
the lockdown and travel bans. Owen Harding was 16 years old when he vanished from his home on March
26th, 2020, shortly after the first UK lockdowns began. Owen had a sweetheart that he had known
since he was a young child. Everyone who knew them said that they were a pleasant pair that seemed
to make one another very happy. Unfortunately, Owen’s girlfriend, Meg, lived about a 4-hour
drive away from him. This meant
that they only got to visit one another occasionally. Considering
that the young couple already had trouble spending time together, neither of them were happy to
be separated for even longer thanks to the pandemic. Owen wanted to go to Meg’s house
before the lockdowns took effect so that he could spend his lockdown with her. However, his
mother did not approve of this idea. Apparently, in the weeks leading up to his disappearance,
he and his mother argued over the issue nearly every day. O
wen even mentioned to his friends that
he wanted to “make a run for it” and go to Meg’s house without permission; they assumed he was
making these statements in jest. On March 26th, just before 6 o’clock p.m., Owen and his mother
had a heated argument over the issue once again. This time, Owen left his home without telling
his mother where he was going. At the time, she assumed he was going to take a walk to blow
off steam and return home shortly but, sadly, that did not happen. Owen travel
ed to a nearby beach
where he planned to watch the sunset, according to a later report given by Meg, who he was in
contact with as he left his home. Two witnesses spotted the young man walking toward an area with
cliffs around 6:15 p.m. Investigators believe that Owen was spotted on CCTV footage around the time
his phone was last used, about 10 minutes after the witness reports. Owen never returned home
that night. His mother, Stella, made countless calls to friends and family in search of
her son
or any word of his last whereabouts, but no one had heard from him. When he had been missing for
24 hours, Stella reported his disappearance to the police. Later that same day, Meg and her parents
drove to Saltdean where they helped investigators and a massive search team. Unfortunately, Owen
was never found, and no new evidence has since been uncovered. Stella and Meg both theorized that
Owen fell from a cliff, got lost in the wilderness or perhaps drowned at sea after wandering
a
way from home. Anyone with information is urged to contact Saltdean police or the National
Missing and Unidentified Persons System. Number 10. Connie Converse Elizabeth Eaton Converse, better known by her
stage name Connie Converse, has been missing for over 48 years. There have been many theories
surrounding her disappearance over the years but none of them has been confirmed and the case is
still considered unsolved. The most interesting aspect of this case is the simple fact that
Connie
left behind a significant musical legacy. Connie moved to New York in the 1950s, initially
struggling as she worked for a photo printing business. She began to write songs and perform
them for her friends, accompanying herself on guitar. However, despite quickly gaining success,
her religious parents were strongly opposed to her music career and her father never heard
her sing. Connie persevered, however, and recorded an album for her brother, Philip.
She made an appearance on the CBS Morni
ng Show with Walter Cronkite to perform her music. About
20 years after first beginning to pursue music, she became frustrated and burned out with the
industry, opting to retire from it and move to Michigan with her brother Philip. While
there she began working as a secretary and spent more time with family. However, she began
relying more heavily on smoking and drinking, and appeared generally unhappy. After moving
in with her brother, Connie faced a series of medical problems and was told
she needed a full
hysterectomy. According to her mother, whom she first shared the news with, Connie was devastated.
As far as her friends and relatives knew, Connie had never been in a serious romantic relationship,
so they found it odd that she was so upset by the possibility of never being able to have children.
Loved ones speculated that she may have been a lesbian, though she was notoriously private about
her personal life. In the months before she went missing, she began leaving stra
nge letters saying
she planned to start her life over in a new place, under a new name. This was obviously shocking
news, but things got worse when Connie sat down with her brother and informed him of how
to go about collecting her life insurance. She didn’t provide a clear reason as to why and
despite his obvious concern Phillip agreed to her requests and later did as he was told. In
August 1974, then 50-year-old Connie packed her things and left her Michigan home without
saying a word to
anyone but leaving letters behind saying that she planned to start a
new life under a new name and requested that her family not come and look for her. She was
never seen or heard from by her family again. A brief search was conducted, and news coverage
aired but there were still no leads as to what happened to the former musician. After 10 years
of grieving, Connie’s family decided to hire a private investigator, who informed them that,
even if he could track her down, it was her right as
an adult to disappear and start a new life
elsewhere. Discouraged, they agreed that Connie could make that decision, though they found the
truth difficult to bear. So now, 48 years later, there are still no answers of what happened
to the mysterious singer-songwriter, whose life story has continued to fuel the curiosity
around her music in the years since she left home. Number 9. Scott Enyart This case is a little different from
the others because it does not involve a missing person. Inst
ead, while it is
yet another story shrouded in mystery, what’s missing here are photographs and documents
with significant historical value. On June 4th, 1968, Robert F. Kennedy won the California
and South Dakota presidential primaries. He and his team celebrated the victory and Kennedy
addressed his supporters just a few hours after the results came in. The speech took place in
the ballroom of a well-known and prestigious hotel in Los Angeles called The Ambassador
Hotel. The ballroom was
filled with cheers and applause as Kennedy took the stage. After
finishing his speech, Kennedy exited the stage and walked toward the ballroom kitchens. He was
followed by press and fans as he passed through, shaking hands and sharing hugs with the staff.
Apparently, Kennedy was given a false tip that the kitchen would lead him to the private press room.
Despite a bodyguard coming in and warning him that he was headed in the wrong direction, Kennedy
pressed on. In the midst of the raucous
crowd, a young man that would later be identified as
Sirhan Sirhan, a 24-year-old Palestinian national, pulled out a … and began … at Kennedy. The
… nailed his target and Kennedy was struck 3 times by the …. Additionally, numerous members
of the crowd were also injured in the … before the … was disarmed. Kennedy died in the hospital
on June 6th as a result of his injuries. Now, this case has always been controversial,
and many believe that it was an inside job constructed by the government
or those in
power that opposed Kennedy’s political stances, as opposed to a lone … with radical beliefs. The
story becomes even more mysterious when we take a look at a man named Scott Enyart. Enyart was only
15 years old when he visited the ballroom with a press pass from his high school newspaper
to witness and photograph Kennedy’s speech. He was a member of the crowd when shots were
fired, and he managed to snap multiple images of the chaos that ensued. According to Enyart’s
statements,
he was chased down by police later that night and brought in for questioning.
Investigators dismissed him after a short and seemingly meaningless interrogation. Although
Enyart was released, he was told that his 3 rolls of film and the negative prints were considered
evidence in the case and could not be released back to him. He was informed that he could regain
access to the images after 20 years. When that time came, in 1988, Enyart reached out to
the LAPD in search of this film. However
, he was told that the images had been destroyed.
Despite this, after a few months he was contacted, and investigators provided him with a proof sheet
of the negatives. Upon investigation, though, Enyart realized he only had a few negatives,
despite having taken three rolls of film. He also noticed that the images were printed from a
different type of film than he used, leading him to believe that the negatives were fake. Enyart
refused to accept that these were the photographs he had taken
and spent the next several years
pressing the LAPD for more information. Finally, in 1996, a courier was hired to take the negatives
that Enyard had been provided from San Francisco to Los Angeles. According to reports, the courier
had his tires slashed by an unknown person. He drove several more miles before he noticed the
issue and pulled over at a rest station. While he was at the service station, the briefcase
containing the documents was allegedly stolen and has never been uncovered.
Many believe that
the images Enyart took may have held details that were never released to the public that might have
given more clues about what exactly happened the night that Robert Kennedy was assassinated.
They have been a source of much debate when it comes to questions about and theories around
what actually happened on that fateful night. Number 8. Washoe County John Doe According to the National Missing and Unidentified
Persons System, “Each year an estimated 4,400 unidentified bod
ies are found and about 1,000
of them remain John or Jane Doe cases after a year passes”. Cases like these are especially
heart-wrenching because it seems as though some of these people were completely alone in life
with no family or friends coming to look for them. Similarly, many of these cases could be
easily solved if even the smallest amount of additional information could be uncovered. It’s
hard to track the timeline of events leading up to a person's demise when they have no witnesse
s
to come forward on their behalf. That is exactly what the case with the Washoe County John
Doe, who was found in 2021. To this day, no one has come forward to identify or claim the
unknown man. But that’s not the only issue in this specific case. Many strange details have led to it
being considered a very mysterious and unsolvable situation. In the early hours of March 27th, 2021,
witnesses entered the public bathroom at Dick Taylor Memorial Park in Reno, Nevada and stumbled
across a hor
rific discovery. An elderly man was found … in the stall. Police were immediately
contacted and the case was opened. The man had no form of identification on him or any belongings
with him. Even his pockets were completely empty. Some investigators speculated that the man may
have been homeless, given his messy attire and unkempt hair. Others believe that he was a local
that lived near the park. If this was true, though, someone would have likely recognized the
man if he was frequently in t
he area. Given the state in which the man was found, and the results
of his autopsy, the manner of death appeared to be a cut and dry case of …. There was one key
detail that made that assumption questionable, however. A walker was found at the crime scene.
Obviously, use of a walker implies that the person had trouble with his mobility. This would make
it very difficult for the man to have secured the rope and maneuvered into position to take his
own life. This made some people interested
in the case suspect the possibility of foul play.
Sadly, whether this case is a … or homicide, the investigation has been unable to move forward.
No witnesses ever reported seeing the man before he was found and, to this day, he has not been
identified and no relatives have come forward to claim the body. If you have any information
on this case or believe you may know the man, you are urged to contact the National Missing
and Unidentified Persons System with the code 2021-01480 OR Washoe C

Medical Examiner's Office at (775) 785-6114. Number 7. Marisa Hernandez Taking another person's life is evil on its own,
but there is a special place in hades for those that harm children, the elderly, and the disabled.
It’s heartbreaking that they don’t have the same physical strength or mental capability as others
in order to defend themselves and are seen as easy targets by those with malicious intent. Marisa
Hernandez was 37 years old when she lost her life. As a result o
f an accident when she was
a young child, she was intellectually disabled and never progressed mentally past the age of 5.
Although she did have to be cared for and watched out for by family, she was also given freedom
as long as she stayed within the immediate area of her home in the small town of San Juan de la
Rambla in Spain. On September 9th, 2003, Hernandez traveled within the neighborhood to her sister
Dolores’ home. Dolores gave her a few dollars and Hernandez headed out to the cent
er town where she
had plans to visit a store that she often shopped at. Witnesses that knew the girl personally
reported seeing her sitting outside the shop, enjoying her drink for about an hour before
heading back in the direction of her home. No one ever saw Hernandez alive again. Several
hours passed and her family began to worry. They searched the small town and recruited the help of
other villagers to help find the disabled woman. The hunt carried on for 2 days but came to a
tragic co
nclusion when the victim’s body was found in the sea near the coast. It was immediately
clear that the remains belonged to Hernandez. At first, everyone assumed that the tragedy was
the result of a fall. Perhaps the woman walked too close to the sea along the rocky shore or atop a
short cliff overlooking the water. While this was sad enough, things only got worse after an autopsy
revealed a series of startling facts. According to the report, Hernandez had been … by a car or other
heavy vehi
cle. Reports showed that Hernandez’s jaw and neck had been …. Her body was covered in
…, and she had been …. The rushing water of the sea washed away all signs of DNA belonging
to her attackers. In the years that followed, many protests were held in the town as its
citizens believed not enough was being done to solve the case and bring the criminals to
justice. Since the area was so small, the entire neighborhood knew one another personally, meaning
that the evildoers behind the attack were
still living amongst them. Many women in the area argued
that they didn’t feel safe with this fact. After all this time, investigators have not come to any
satisfactory conclusions. The case remains open but is not being actively investigated
as no new evidence has been uncovered. Number 6. Tehuel De La Torre Although this case is technically closed and 2
people have been charged, this victim’s family insists that the story isn’t over and that the
whereabouts or fate of their loved one is
still a mystery that needs to be solved. It’s a case
with many layers and has gained the attention of community activists. Tehuel De La Torre was only
21 years old when he went missing in San Vicente, Buenos Aires, Argentina over 2 years ago. De
La Torre was a transgender man who had recently started his transition only a few months prior
to his vanishing. De La Torre was dealing with financial troubles and was desperate to find
work. Sadly, because of his gender identity, he was rejected f
rom nearly every job he applied
to. In fact, one potential manager told him that he would regret transitioning and eventually get
pregnant which would lead to him missing work. These details are important to the case because
many believe that his disappearance may have been linked to a hate crime related to his gender
identity. His disappearance ignited activism and protests in Buenos Aires. On March 11th, 2021,
De La Torre went to follow up on a job offer he was given by Luis Alberto Ramos
. The job was to
work as a waiter at a birthday party, which seemed innocent and simple enough. De La Torre gave very
few details to his family about 37-year-old Ramos and the position, so the family had no idea
what their loved one was walking into. De La Torre headed to Ramos’s home about 15 minutes away
from his own, but never arrived back home. About 2 days later his family reported him missing. A
geolocation search was conducted on De La Torre’s cell phone, which tracked him to Ramos’
home.
Ramos reported that he had met with the victim, but he only stayed around for about an hour before
safely heading home. Further investigation showed that the last signal emitted from the phone
was at Ramos’ home around 11 p.m. that night; several hours after De La Torre had allegedly
left. On March 16th, local police conducted a raid on Ramos’ home in search of De La
Torre and any evidence leading to him. His cellphone and jacket were found buried behind
the home and they had both be
en badly burnt. Investigators pointed out that this was clearly
an attempt to destroy evidence. A technical team was able to access the contents of the phone and
found a photo that De La Torre took of himself, Ramos and 46-year-old Oscar Alfredo Montes on the
day of his disappearance. The 2 men were arrested in relation to De La Torre’s disappearance
and for falsifying information because of their changing stories when questioned. After
being charged, a further search was conducted, and the
victim's blood was found on the walls
inside the Ramos’ home. The search also focused on trying to find the possible remains of De La Torre
but all efforts to this end were fruitless. Ramos and Montes were eventually charged with aggravated
homicide due to hatred of gender identity, a hate crime. The men are awaiting trial. To this
day, there have been no updates in the case. IF you have any information on this case you are
urged to contact the Ministry of Security. Number 5. The Hinterkai
feck Incident In late March 1922, an entire family and their
live-in maid was … by unknown perpetrators that trespassed onto their farm near Munich, Germany.
The small village in Bavaria only consisted of a few residences and people had to travel a decent
distance to reach town. The community was very tight knit, and neighbors tended to look out
for one another. This close relationship is what ultimately led to the gruesome discovery in
the Gruber home on the Hinterkaifeck homestead. Althou
gh this is not a paranormal case, a strange
series of events played out in the months leading up to the horrific incident which led the family
and their former maid to believe that the home was haunted. They reported hearing random footsteps
in the attic and found human footprints leading from the woods to their barn. The family inspected
the area on each occasion but were unable to find a logical answer to what was playing out. In
retrospect, people with interest in the case have assumed t
hat these happenings were caused
by a very skilled and stealthy intruder that began living on the homestead without the family’s
knowledge. Eventually, their former maid grew so scared of the events that she quit her job at the
homestead and quickly moved away. On March 30th, 1922, the family’s new maid, Maria Baumgartner
arrived at her new home with her sister. They visited with the Gruber family as Maria settled
in. Her sister later reported that the family seemed happy and, more importan
tly, safe.
Maria’s sister was likely the last person to see the family alive before the attacks. Four days
passed and the family's neighbor grew concerned as he noticed that the Gruber family’s mail had been
piling up. It was also noted that the children of the family had missed several days of school.
Additionally, coffee salesmen and a repairman visited the home in the days between the incident
and the discovery of the bodies, but there was no response when they knocked on the door. Final
ly,
on April 4th, that same neighbor who had first expressed concern, Lorenz Schlittenbauer gathered
2 other men from the area to visit the family home with him. They made a terrible discovery when
they entered the barn. 4 members of the family had been attacked. The scene of carnage resembled
a horror movie and caused the men to reportedly get sick from just the sight of it. The group
carried on into the home, however, and found that the new maid and the family's youngest
member had been
attacked in a similar manner. The neighbors quickly contacted police and an
investigation began. They were able to identify the weapon that was used – a mattock, which is a
tool similar to an axe – but failed to actually find it at the scene. They also realized that
whoever was responsible for the crimes seemed to have continued to live at the homestead in the
days between the murders and the discovery of the crime scene. After investigators left the scene,
people in town started hearing ru
mors about what had happened on the farm. Some began to whisper
that the house was actually haunted because of the terrible crime that had taken place there.
Because of this, thrill seekers snuck their way onto the farm to catch a glimpse of some of the
evidence left behind of the … slayings. This caused immediate problems for the investigation as
evidence was tampered with and even destroyed by the visitors. Over the years, nearly 100 suspects
from all over the country were interrogated an
d searched. However, none of these leads proved
to be fruitful and the perpetrators were able to live the rest of their lives without
their crime ever having been discovered. Number 4. Houston John Doe This story follows the case of a John Doe
from Houston, Texas, who was discovered in an abandoned bus. Although every case
involving a death is tragic in its own way, it remains a particularly sad thought to know that
someone might be out there looking for their lost loved one and not yet kno
w they have been found
deceased. This John Doe is like many others, but one detail that stands out is the victim’s
young age. Autopsy reports estimated that the victim was between 14 to 19 years old. It’s
not entirely uncommon for Doe cases to involve a younger person, but it is rarer than finding
unidentified adults. Considering his age, one would assume that someone would be searching for
this person, even a parent who is missing their child, yet no one has come forward to identify
this
Doe. Clearly, the victim either didn’t have a strong relationship with their family –
or perhaps the details simply haven’t reached the right people. On January 10th, 2022, unknown
witnesses stumbled across a heartbreaking sight when they entered an abandoned city bus in the
parking lot of a business building off San Felipe Street in Houston, Texas. They found a young man …
from the ceiling of the bus, over a seat. Although he was unresponsive, it was discovered that he
was still alive when
officers arrived and EMT workers removed the victim from the scene. He was
rushed to a nearby hospital, but the damage had already been done and a team of doctors were
unable to bring Doe back to consciousness. He faded from life in a cold hospital bed just
a half hour after arriving at the hospital. An investigation was opened, and its first
priority was to identify the young man, in hopes of finding his family or anyone that
knew him. The Doe had absolutely no forms of identification on
him. In fact, he didn’t have
any possessions with him at all. He didn’t have a phone or wallet on him. The lack of belongings
might initially suggest that Doe was homeless, but he was dressed in fashionable, well-fitting
clothes and it appeared that he had just gotten a fresh haircut, perhaps on that very same day.
The scene of the incident, as well as the autopsy reports, confirmed the obvious; that this John Doe
had taken his life by way of …. However, there was other evidence found that
made investigators
think there was more to the story. Apparently, he was covered in small … along his arms and
legs, and he had a pulled muscle in his right knee. It was estimated that the minor injuries
were acquired about 2 days before the young man was found. They weren’t serious but they suggested
that Doe may have been in a fight shortly before his demise. Another strange detail was Doe’s
recent haircut, which included star shapes shaved on the sides of his head. It seems like
a barbe
r might remember giving a customer such a specific cut and would share the interaction with
police. Of course, there are many reasons someone might not come forward in a case like this. As of
right now, the poor young man's true name is still unknown, the questions around his death remain
unanswered. For any information on the case, or to learn more details about it, you can contact
the Houston Police Department at 832-707-1284 Number 3. Malén Ortiz 10 years ago, a young 15-year-old girl
my
steriously vanished from her hometown in Calvia, Spain. Malen Ortiz was described as a very bright
and outgoing young lady. Friends and family said that everywhere she went, she made new friends.
She was also a talented skateboarder and spent a lot of her spare time hanging with friends at a
skate park in her neighborhood. It came to light during the investigation into her disappearance
that Ortiz didn’t have a very healthy family system. She lived with her father and brother in
a small hom
e and allegedly had some conflicts with her father. It was reported that they argued
often. A few years before she disappeared, her father found her in bed with a boy her
age. Hospital records showed that around that same time, Ortiz was admitted for care
after being badly …. Although there was no follow-up to this incident, staff found it
obvious that the young girl's father was at fault for the abuse. Ortiz was also reportedly
experimenting with drugs around this time. Her father had a cr
iminal history and was at
one point sentenced to 6 years in prison, for attacking his ex-girlfriend. Ortiz’s parents
had divorced when she was young, and she did not have regular contact with her mother. Ortiz and
her brother were allegedly forced to live on the streets for a short period of time before they
were welcomed into their father’s home. After her disappearance, investigators began to question
if Ortiz had vanished of her own free will to get away from her bad situation. On the da
y of her
disappearance, December 2nd, 2013, Ortiz finished up a regular day of school and caught a bus to
head home. She realized on the way there that she had misplaced her house key. She decided to take
a different route and go to her boyfriend's house, who lived in another small town just a few miles
away. After exiting her last bus, she made several phone calls to her father to let him know where
she was going. She wasn’t able to get ahold of him and left a message at his office. She th
en called
her boyfriend and asked if she could come over, which he agreed to. He later told police that was
the last time he spoke to her. CCTV footage found that Ortiz stopped at a gas station. Oddly
enough, about 20 minutes after her visit, her brother was also seen on CCTV at the
same store. Their paths never crossed, though. Witnesses eventually reported seeing the
girl riding her skateboard near the busy street in the direction of a theme park. This was the last
time she was ever seen
. Ortiz’s boyfriend Daniel was the first person to raise the alarm about her
disappearance when she never arrived at his house. However, it took investigators 48 hours to begin
looking for Ortiz; they initially believed that her disappearance was the simple case of a runaway
teenager. The search team contacted everyone that Ortiz was close to, but no one had seen or heard
from her. They also searched the small town, the towns surrounding it, nearby wilderness and
park areas, public spaces a
nd even the sea but found absolutely no trace of Ortiz; Her father
offered an 80,000-dollar reward for her return, but the case still went cold and the search
was eventually called off. In early 2023, a tip came in that led investigators to a potential
suspect. José Ruiz was 74 years old when Ortiz vanished. It was discovered that months prior to
her disappearance, Ruiz was found trying to lure 2 teenage girls into his home under the guise of
wanting to photograph girls on skateboards. The
girls fled when a woman approached and interrupted
the conversation. Later, inappropriate pictures of minors were found on his old home computer but
there are no records of him ever being charged. Shortly before his death he was staying in a
mental health facility. Staff members at the hospital reported that Ruiz claimed to know what
happened to Ortiz, but he passed before the truth could come out. His home was searched but no
evidence was found that pointed towards Ortiz’s disappearance. T
o this day, the young girl's
whereabouts and eventual fate are still unknown. Number 2. Jessica Chambers
To this day, 9 years after a young woman was killed, her family is still holding out hope
that justice will be served. Jessica Chambers, from Courtland, Mississippi was only 19 years
old when her life was stolen from her. It’s hard enough to lose a loved one at all, but knowing the
details of Chambers suffering in her last hours of life was more than enough to shatter the hearts
of those
that knew and loved her. Chambers had a history of drug use and around the age of 17 she
began spending time with gang members. She met her then-boyfriend, who was about 10 years older than
her, hanging out with this crowd. That same year, her brother lost his life in a car accident,
which caused her to spiral more deeply into self-destructive behaviors. As far as her loved
ones knew, she was clean off the drugs and at the time of her disappearance. Her boyfriend was also
serving a prison
sentence when she disappeared. At the age of 19, the former cheerleader and social
butterfly was in recovery, working an honest job, and trying to build towards her future.
Although her family was against the idea, she still hung out with friends from her drug use
days and she remained committed to her boyfriend, patiently awaiting his release from prison.
Because of the crowd Chambers spent her time with, she often met questionable people. After
her death, investigators started to build a
timeline of Chambers’ whereabouts throughout
the day before her disappearance and death. In an official statement, Chambers' mother
shared that on Saturday, December 6th, 2014, her daughter woke up earlier than usual to meet
friends for a day of fun. She was gone for several hours and when she came home, she seemed “stressed
and tired” according to her mother. Chambers headed directly to her room where she laid down
for a nap. She was apparently woken up by a call from her friends that even
ing at 5pm, after
which she headed out without telling her mom her plans. This behavior was not unusual for Chambers
and, considering the fact she was a legal adult, her mom felt she couldn’t do much about it. CCTV
was later found that showed Chambers at a gas station. It seemed that she was alone at this
time but it’s difficult to confirm because the camera angle made it impossible to see whether or
not someone was in the car with her. It was later revealed, thanks to Chambers’ cell phone’
s GPS
data, that she arrived back in Courtland around 6pm. At that time, she called her mom to say she
would be home soon. She seemed to be uncomfortable and uninterested in talking very much, though.
Some time passed as Chambers' mother awaited the arrival of her daughter. Sadly, the young
girl never made it home. Around 8 p.m. police were called to the scene where a car had run off
the road and was engulfed in flames. The driver, Chambers, had managed to escape the vehicle
but she was ba
dly burnt and had collapsed to the ground. In her last words, she said something
that officers said sounded like “Eric” or “Derek”, but because of the extent of her injuries, it
was very hard to distinguish her words. Though this was initially seen as vital evidence
in whatever had taken place that night, nothing ever came of it. Chambers passed after
arriving at the hospital. Autopsy reports and crime scene evidence showed that the victim
had been attacked and gasoline had been … her throa
t and sprayed all over her car before it
was set ablaze. Investigators eventually found, through her cell phone, that the victim had
most recently been in contact with a drug dealer named Quinton Tellis. In fact, GPS data
showed they had been at the same location for a long period of time the night Chambers died.
This man was brought in as a suspect and was charged with causing the woman’s death during 2
different trials. However, a lack of evidence and destroyed cell phone data caused both
attempts
to be ruled as a mistrial. Quinton was freed from the spotlight as the suspect, but Chambers’
family still believes he was responsible for the attack against their loved one and still hold
out hope that justice may one day be served. Number 1. Karen Denise Wells Nearly 3 decades ago, in April 1994, a woman
named Karen Denise Wells set out on a solo road trip to visit a childhood friend that apparently
needed help and support during a trying time in her life. Wells was 24 years old
at the time
and was a single mother of a 14-month-old son. Her family described her as hardworking and a
wonderful mother. Despite setbacks she had faced, she always made sure she had a stable income
and that her son was living a healthy and happy life. Apparently, Wells had worked several jobs in
which she had to travel long distances. So, when she informed her mother that she was embarking
on a road trip from Haskell, Oklahoma to Bergen, New Jersey there was no doubt that she was ready
for the road. Still, a trip that long while traveling alone was understandably a potential
cause for concern, so her family requested that she keep in touch as much as she could. Over the
years, the details have shifted about Wells’ route to her destination. Apparently, she got lost on
the highway at one point and pulled off the main road. Although many small towns were easily
accessible near the highways, Wells decided to travel a bit further from her original route
for reasons unknown. Sh
e ended up in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and checked into the Pike Hotel.
From there, Wells called the friend she was heading to see around 7 p.m. She informed her
friend, Melissa Shephard, that she was exhausted after traveling for about 48 hours with no sleep.
All she wanted to do was cruise in her rental car to get some fast food before she would return to
her room. Shepherd offered to travel the few extra hours to meet Wells. She estimated that she would
arrive around midnight. Shortly afte
r this call, Wells visited the front desk for directions to
McDonalds. She then left and was never seen again. Around midnight that night, just as she predicted,
Shepherd arrived at the hotel. She couldn’t get Wells to open her hotel room door or answer the
phone. She searched the parking lot and when she didn’t see Wells’ rental car, she requested that
the front desk let her into the room. Once inside, Shepherd found that all of Wells' belongings
were stacked up in a corner and the bed had
not been even slightly used. She immediately reported
Wells as missing and a search was conducted the next day. Just a few hours into the investigation,
someone reported a car abandoned along the highway near the hotel. It turned out to be Wells'
vehicle. Both doors were open, and the car was covered in mud and scratches, despite being
nowhere near the wilderness or dirt paths. The car had run out of gas. Food was thrown all over
the inside, but it’s unclear if this had taken place the nig
ht of Wells’ disappearance. A small
amount of marijuana was found on the floorboards and officers suspected that other drugs may have
been used inside the vehicle. Various fingerprints were discovered but could not be matched to
anyone. A massive search was opened but no further evidence was ever found. The search was
eventually called off, but the case was left open. Later that same year, around the holidays, the
wife of Wells’ former boyfriend reported to police that she received a call f
rom Wells in which she
informed her that she moved out of state, got married and was never returning home. No record
of this phone call could be found. Investigators believe it was a false tip used to help the former
boyfriend move on and stop grieving. Since then, nothing new has been uncovered in relation to
this case, and Wells’ whereabouts remain unknown.

Now THIS is the Top 15s I missed. Less a hoard of videos with clickbaity thumbnails, and more of some genuine documentation & reporting. Excellent video! A refreshing breath of air & a grand return after a year! Good to have you back, Chills my good man!
There's a reason why so many come back to this channel over and over again. The vibe is on point for the subject material. No awkward opinionated interjections that can fall flat depending on the ideology of the viewer. No unnecessary information. Just facts and a killer atmospheric tune playing in the background.
I have followed the Jessica Chambers case since it happened. You are the first YouTuber that I have seen cover her case, and I can't thank you enough for showcasing her story here. I will not be albe to rest easy until I know what really happened to that poor girl!
Dude, seriously the early Top15 videos about true scary stories and experiences, scariest stuff I've ever listened to. I frequently go back to it and show it to other people. I stayed subscribed, but stopped watching after the decline and meme status of the channel was acquired. Good to hear and see a video like this.
Hope to see more of these real top 15s like the "old days" Too many video countdown channels out there that just show the same regurgitated material as everyone else, so appreciate this type of countdown Dylan. Have definitely missed 15. Nice to have you back at it. 👍 Take Care/Stay Safe ✌
Finally, this is the Top15s that I’ve been missing No “Top 15 Videos that will Freak you out” bs, but dark yet interesting topics that leave you thinking
Yooo, I missed this channel AND this content! I loved watching and listening to scary stories and indepth mystery videos like this, and this video is sending me way back to like 2014. Great to have you back on Top15's, Chills!
10:35 if you read this article, it makes the mystery even more interesting. How did the cops not get his name when they interviewed him? Isn't that one of the first questions you would ask someone you're interviewing?
Fascinating unsolved mysteries. Adding the information to help with cases is above and beyond. Well done.
This, is BY FAR, the most beautiful work I've ever heard you do. Great job, Dylan!
This reminds me exactly of 2014/2015 Top 15s, and I love that. Glad you’re going back to the channels’ roots!
I live near number 11; the problem on that beach is the tide comes in almost instantly. In the summer, it's not uncommon to see people have passed away from it. Or falling from the cliffs, While the cliffs there are not that high (There are much higher further along) and have fencing around them. There are rocks below; if he sat on the fence, he could have fallen, bashed his head, and been taken by the waters. Or stayed too long on the beach and got taken by the tide. Unfortunately, while there are fields here, no 'wilderness' exists. Buse's all have CCTV, No small deserted train stations, they are all large and with CCTV too, so... I think its a case of he is in the ocean somewhere :(
Youtube is going way too far with this content-friendly stuff. They're seriously making you censor words like "shooter" and "bullets"? All the same, great to have you back!
So glad ur back!! Absolutely love this different creepy thing ur doing. It is absolutely a breath of fresh air!!! Continue working hard and know the real fans love the new!!!!
I’ve heard the story of the 2 Dutch girls multiple times. Some people think the girls were attacked by one of the native tribes living in the jungle where their bones were later found. After all, they were warned about the native tribes, but because they were from the Netherlands and didn’t speak Spanish, they probably didn’t understand what the locals were saying. However, there are rumors that the girls were being trafficked and were most likely killed for resisting the traffickers.
Welcome back Chills glad to see Top15s back hope there will be lots more to come
Number 15: I think it was her boyfriend. He was involved in the custody battle and there was that guy who said she wanted to leave. She said she was scared someone was following her.
Very strange circumstances. Are there no cameras anywhere around Four Freedoms? What about that bank right in front? Someone had to have seen something. There’s always people at that park and playground. I hope someone speaks up. Bless her and her family.
Top 15 will never be the same without Chills narrator. Welcome back sir.
