Welcome to Minds versus Machines for the eSports of intelligence here on the Polynize platform. Today we're jumping into the final moments of the Crypto Trader Showdown Tournament with only 15 minutes to go. It's a tight match. Let's jump in and see what's going on. My name's Mars. This is OV and you are watching Minds versus Machines. Rob, how you doing? Oh, I am actually really excited. I know I don't sound excited. That's just my voice. Very. Excited. You're totally excited. Exactly. That's w
hat we need. That's what we need. It's a super thrilly match here. Welcome to Mines Versus Machines. We're here in the second tournament of this season and it's a clincher. We have top three positions at the moment, have been battling it out, but the top two have really taken it all the way to the end here. We've seen multiple transitions over the past hour. It's exciting. Yeah, yeah. So we've got 14 minutes left on the Crypto Trader Showdown. We'll talk a little bit more about what that games a
re in a second, but two players have jumped to the top 14 minutes left exchanging top two places on this coin count. So we've got a hundred for Cordova, number one, and we've got Ian. I'm saying I like that. I like that. That's classy. Ian 95 and we've got 13 minutes left. This is actually coming down to the wire. Isn't it? It's coming down to the wire. The lead has switched several times in the past hour, both on the same win rate win ratio of 92%. That's amazing. Too. Also amazing. Yeah. Yeah.
So let's recap what's going on here and then jump into the excitement. We've got a crypto trader showdown, so tell us about this tournament. What sort of persona is coming and playing today? Mars. For sure. It's definitely, that says it in the title, the crypto trader. As we've seen, there's been quite a bull runt this year and traders are waking up and we can hear him loud and clear in Web3, and it's all happening here. Our leaderboard is actually full of some great traders and some amazingly
intelligent traders, and that's basically the theme for this particular tournament is how can you apply your intelligence to crypto trading? Yeah, so let's deep dive on that. When you say intelligence, let's look at what that actually means. If we click over here onto skill sets, these are the skill sets that we are looking at in this tournament this week. There are five critical skill sets being looked at. There's the power of analysis, there's the power of strategic thinking, very important. T
here's creativity to and emotional intelligence. That's an interesting one. That's interesting. Yeah, let's come back to that. And critical thinking always important in anything. Now already, this is really, really interesting. What you're looking at here is the win ratios of humans versus AI in the colonized platform in each these skill sets. Now, win ratios are high right now because it's early days and people are playing easy opponents, but already you can see where are the humans starting to
lose to ai, a little bit analysis and critical thinking. Interesting. Pretty much what you'd expect, right? Definitely. Yeah. Both skill sets that AI excel in, but that's still a pretty good win ratio. Really 83% of humans are beating the AI in those skill sets. But. Don't forget, the colonized platform hasn't rolled out the pros yet, and people are still playing some of these easy opponents. So it's not going to be like that forever, but certainly in this tournament, emotional intelligence and
creativity. Now we're actually going to look at a couple of games to explain why is that important to trading. So if we click over here and look at games, let's talk about that for a second. This is quite interesting. These are the games that are being played in the tournament in the Crypto Trader tournament and one of these games here is about your worst day as a trader. Now that's an emotional intelligence game. You've got the worst day of your life, things go to shit. The market throws your
crisis. How do you deal with it? So I think actually traders really resonate with this. They know that the way you respond emotionally makes a big difference to your success, right. Exactly. It's the opposite of the feeling. They're always tracing. You're always trying to make the intelligent trades. You're always trying to hit the market at the right time with your trades, and yet you are destined to have a bad day, and this is where that emotional intelligence really comes into it. And this ki
nd of game totally unique to the colonized platform. There's nowhere else in the world where you can go up against AI and test out your emotional intelligence. These guys, they might be ai, but they've already got the capability to do that as well. Exactly, and this is what you're talking about at the moment, we have easy, medium and heart and difficult opponents, and at the moment everyone's playing the easy opponents, but as competition gets a bit more fierce, as we have more players playing e
ach tournament, then they'll be forced to play some of the harder players as they move on into. Tournament. Exactly, yeah. So the way this works is if you beat Gordon, then you tick him off and you can't play him again. So as you start to play more and more, you're forced to go up and play some of the harder opponents, and that's where the pro colonized play will start coming. Out. And that's actually starting to happen at the moment as we're seeing the two top players battling it out for first
place. They're having to do that, aren't they? They're having to play the games and get into the harder of opponents. That's right. Actually, let's jump out and have a look at what's going on in the tournament. Maybe we can even start having a look at some of the behaviors and gameplay that's happening here. So you've got these top two players on the leaderboard and we've also got number three has also been a very interesting player when we deep dive later, but these players are all doing one th
ing in common that I actually want to call out. If you click on, let's click on Julian. Gito. Now this is what I call the streak or the colonized session. People sitting down and just playing a lot of games one after another and banking those poly coins up to just go right through. It's a very interesting thing that all of our players have started to do. They're really getting these streaks of games together. You really see the difference in intelligence when you drill into some of these games a
nd you compare some of these leaders against those sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard. When you put those side by side and you see some of those differences in the responses, you clearly see these guys are intelligent people and that translates into real life. That's what we're talking about here. These are actual skills that translate into real life. Absolutely, yes, they do. And I look forward to going deep on some of that stuff with Coach Leroy a little bit later in the player analysis
To illustrate your point, let's click and look at Ian's profile over here and now this is his player profile, his overall colonized player profile on the platform, and he's only just started playing. We've only got into our second tournament, but already you can start to see he's demonstrating skills in these key skill sets, strategic thinking and critical thinking, emotional intelligence, et cetera. Over time, these win ratios will obviously come off 100, but he's had a strong start. This is GI
Antos first tournament. He was one of our beta players, but he's come back strong in the second tournament of the season and made an appearance. Good to see you back. Yeah. Good to have you back. And I have a feeling we're going to see a lot more of Gito. For sure. In the time to come. Back to the leaderboard just to see how we're going. Okay. We're still sitting on 95 and a hundred here. And just to explain, this is a live leaderboards being updated every 10 or 15 seconds, so we will see chang
e as we get closer. I wonder if in the next six minutes we're going to see a change here. I think we will. We know that both players have been active this past hour, so I doubt it. They've gone to bed or they've left their computer at this stage in the game. We know their eager, we know they're waiting. So yeah, this last six minutes going to be great. Let's keep an eye on them. Let's talk a little bit about Melody Berlin as the username says, I have a feeling she is probably what, in the middle
of the night now perhaps. If she's in Berlin? Yeah. In Berlin, definitely Berlin. But she also came in and played a great streak and she did that and then unlocked a reward straight away in this tournament, but we haven't seen her come back in the last 24 hours, so she's fallen off the top two now. She was the first to come in and really set the pace for this tournament. She came in, I think it was a five game streak right off the bat, unlocked one of those assets and she started this whole com
petition off. And I think I know why. Tell us about these assets that people have been picking up this week. This one in particular is the Trading Tigers. So it's a series of 99 unique Trading Tigers to represent the type of persona that plays this type of tournament. The Trading Tigers are live on the ethere of network. We've had several unlocks of those. They've been very popular. Good looking guys. Yeah, for sure. But our goal Tigers go to those who have won at least once in every game. And i
f you look at Johor, I think he's a guy who's picked up one of these gold tigers premium version of the same digital assets. So there'll be a lot more of this happening next week onwards. I think there'll be these premium assets coming out for the top players. Definitely. And so this is only one of five NFTs. So very exclusive collection for you to unlock. Yeah, people are liking these assets. Yeah. Yeah. Well what's not to like? Gold tiger. I'm sold. Can I get one? I'll have to blame. We've had
some movement. We're on 1 0 5. Both the players are putting in a bit of effort in the last minute. Here we go. This is amazing. Actually the same poly count, but look at that difference in win ratio. It's literally 1%. We've got cordon pipping, jota at this point by a 1% win ratio, tight, amazing like that. This is already happening in only the second tournament. People go neck to neck, neck and neck when competition kicks in, don't they? It's all about the competition and these two are definit
ely competing. So you can imagine the processing they're going through right now. This is not an easy game to play under pressure. You have to put quite a bit of brainpower into it to answer one of these challenge questions. So it's neck and neck now and anything can happen in the final three minutes. That's right. And you can't cut and paste into the colonized game. You need to type as well. So let's not underestimate the typing fingers or the swiping if you're using a phone. This is the kind o
f thing actually that also illustrates peak performance. You've got this leaderboard of great people, intelligent people, but the top two or three tend to pop out. We've seen this before in the testing that happened on the colonized platform and some of the games in universities. Those that pull ahead have usually got that real competitive spirit. They're winners. They want to win, and that's a great quality of a winner. Question for you, if you were in this position, what would your strategy be
right now? I'd wait till the last minute and I'd have my game ready and I'd try to go in last. So you'd go. And I'd have a good game ready though, because you want to know that you're going to win. A game. So you'd go for the game with the highest, highest count. Highest poly, easiest, getting there in the last minute or so. And your best response, which would be tough at this point because you could imagine both of these players have had some great ideas through this tournament and already pla
yed 'em. So coming to this stage of really, really scraping to get over the line here. Now that you've asked me, maybe I would play it the other way. Maybe I'd just try and smash out and get ahead so that you don't have to worry about it. Okay. Okay. Interesting. Yeah, actually I'm going to go for that. If you get 20 pollies ahead, then someone's got to play at least what, two or. Three games. That's good. That's good. So just smash through. We've got easy opponents right now. You're pretty guar
anteed to be winning. That's not going to be the case later and the tactics are going to change. But. Yeah, one minute left. It's coming down to the wire. I could almost hear the fingers on the keyboard tapping away somewhere. On the world. This is a really good time. Also to mention the viewer experience. We're going to be having a way for people to get involved in these moments as well, aren't we? Later on. But for now, some of the stats of this tournament over here, we've got 400 more than 40
0 polys already earned in this tournament. Win ratio, like I said, is very high. 90%. We've got what we've had about I think maybe 20 to 30 players, but a lot of them were early on, didn't come back. And then it's really narrowed down towards the end of it. It's coming down to the. Wire. I've got 10 seconds. Left, 10. Seconds, I don't know. Would you submit at the last minute? Would you? Now would be the time to submit. You wouldn't wait till the last second. 5, 4, 3. Hit that line button two. O
ne we called it. We called it. It's a kba. KBAs taken it out 1% and it's actually tied on poly coins, but it's a 1% win ratio difference that has made the difference here. Amazing. Well done kba. But congratulations. Congratulations to both of them for some epic final straight game, epic battle there. Yeah. Congratulations. You played a hard game there. I know. That was amazing. kva phenomenal. As he says in his title, failure is a stepping stone and he did fail in a few games, but he's come thr
ough as a winner. KVA for the win. Congratulations. Amazing. Alright, So the winners spotlight. A couple of things that we can highlight straightaway. Number one, very obvious, he's played a lot of games. Here's a guy who's come in and played a tournament. Now the tournament runs for what, five to seven days? It's over a working week. Obviously you can't play pollinize all the time. It takes a bit of thought. It takes a bit of time. But he's come in consistently and played streaks of games maybe
two or three nights or days of really playing through five or six games. So first of all, he's stacked up those poly coins and that's how you get to the top of a tournament leaderboard. So he's got commitment. For sure, and that's generally what we see as a pattern with colonized, isn't it? They sit down, you have a colonized session, you go for 30 minutes an hour, you smash out a few games while your brain's fresh and you really put the effort in while you've got the juice in the tank. That's
right, yeah. It's that kind of game. I think early on, I remember in our testing someone said to me, this is not a pew pew game, this is a brain game. It's the eSports of intelligence. But second thing, highest scores here, he's been doing really well and I want to highlight this one here, 117, he's almost close to one 20, which is pretty much the maximum max you can go, you get in Pollinize. So he's really gone deep but also above and beyond in terms of his performance. So in this case, he's go
t a game which is about analyzing why is Solana surging now and winning the blockchain wars. He's done a great job. I remember looking through this just before the show here and I was thinking to myself, this is worthy of an analysis report, what he's done here. Definitely this is the type of thing that you would see on an analysis report from a high-end crypto investor. This is a great response here and that's why he's come across as the winner and one of the highest scores on the platform ever
, I believe. Yes, I think we might call it as the highest score. 17. So yeah, congratulations vo. Amazing. Work. So a deserved win for sure. And then the third point, if we just shut this down and look back at the pattern of his gameplay consistently high win ratio, I mean it goes without saying it and most people are getting that now, but in his case he's never really played a cheap game. And if you start looking through as you can yourself when you have the time, you can start looking through
and unlocking people's answers and ideas. You'll see that he's really spent that level of intelligent work that we saw just there on every single one of these games. So there's real intelligence and work behind the win and this all adds to his profile. So again, early days, but these early colonizers are going to flourish and really get rewarded as well. And we'll be seeing a lot more of how that looks over the next few weeks. But he's made a great start. And if you scan this QR code below, you
can jump in to see his results for yourself. What's our pick for the MV best player overall? This is a tough one because it was so close. KVA did well overall, but I think my pick's going to go with Jody Anto. We're going. To go with Joey Anto. He just had that little edge on structure. Originality I think was a big one. I just found his answers just hitting the mark for me. How about you? Yeah, that creativity aspect. Look, it was there with a lot of the players, but if we navigate down for exa
mple, I mean this particular game is more about analysis and it is worth looking at as well because just like Cordova look at the depth of analysis he's gone into here, and we mentioned this last week, the structuring that into three points, the three step strategy. I mean that's why he's got 99 here in this particular game. He's got that skill, doesn't he? Another great game. Yeah, let's. Just highlight, come down here and have a look at some of his scoring during the week, really consistent sc
oring. That's one of the things that you see at the top. He doesn't have the huge scores like Cordova and now I think that maybe is the thing that got, I dunno, maybe it made a little difference just at that tiny margin at the end, but he's got really consistent scores. He only really lost one game and this was one where you'll notice he picked a pro opponent, maybe just got a little bit sick of winning. But yeah, if you come down to look at, he's played every game obviously. So let's actually h
ave a look at this. This is I think a really good example of what I was talking about. So this particular game is called your worst day as a trader. It's actually a great game. I think we'll see more of this kind of game where you're really asking and challenging someone to self-reflect on their emotions and their strategies around their emotions. And I loved this answer because what Gito has said here is he's flipped it, right? It's the emotional intelligence he's putting forward here is actual
ly the emotionless trading. Exactly. And I would agree, I think that ability to disconnect and take those crises step by step and not wildly swing. So that's an important thing for a trader. So he's displayed that here. He's done well. Then let's see how the analyzer dealt with it. Quite a consistent score over the range of skills within this skillset. And it's been a good comment about Gito and probably why he's our MVPs consistency and creativity. Those two for me just marginally takes it out
for me over kva. I think. One other thing though, and this is interesting, if you scroll down a little bit and look at the scores at the actual skill level. So we're getting right down to not just the skillset of emotional intelligence, but the particular skills inside emotional intelligence. Look at this one, this is really interesting. Transparency is one of them. And look at the comment demonstrates willingness to share his trading strategies openly. That's actually a really important thing f
or poll and I. Some people are not open about their feelings, their strategies, their alpha as a trader might say, but Joo has actually been rewarded here for going deep and openly expressing his ideas. I thought that was really interesting. And that's been one of the principles of Pollinize from the beginning is openness. That's a core principle to creativity. So he's showing that as well, which is great. So I think this is actually a really good time to throw over to Coach Leroy for his commen
ts. Yeah, thanks Shrove. Such an interesting one. This one unpacking the skills and it's quite mind blowing because we can't really do this in any area of life. So as I sit here each week analyzing the games with you guys, it's not lost on me how new this is. That being able to go to a skill level in an objective way. What's coming up for me is there's still so much room to compete and beat the ai. If we look at this particular skill of empathy, he scored quite well, but there's still a lot of r
oom for improvement. So I think what's coming up for me as we're looking through these is just how much control we have as humans to beat AI or to think of AI as a platform for us to just go to our next best level. There is still so much on the table here from a skills perspective that could be brought out in this game. What is your particular feeling as we go into the skills? Actually very, very much what you just said there, coach. The narrative of humans getting overtaken by ai, which is ever
ywhere now, isn't it? We're all going to get superseded. This shows you the possibilities. There's no reason why we wouldn't evolve way ahead of ai. That space you talk about and look at emotional intelligence as an example, it's going to become more and more important. And here on this show we're breaking it down. We're the first to do that, but it's going to become a whole category, isn't it? And something that translates to real life, right coach? Yeah. And when we think about these soft skil
ls of emotional intelligence, we often kind of stop on the surface level of trying to almost think of soft skills as a way of balancing the environment. But there's so much more below that, isn't there? One of the skills that comes up first here is harmonize. How have you used these soft skills to harmonize the answer? And in particular, he scored quite well on this, particularly against the ai. The AI has done exceptionally bad in this skillset. So yeah, it's really kind of broadening how we th
ink about the use of soft skills to move forward with a question or move a team forward with creative problem solving. Yeah, it's logical to say that's somewhere that we will as humans is in the emotional intelligence space, but it is a false narrative that we're constantly hearing, which is AI is going to advance and somehow human intelligence just stops where it is. It's obvious that we need to use AI as a way to increase our intelligence and that's what we're doing here. Absolutely, and that'
s what we're showing here. And it's a science, as you said, Lee, it's not an art. And we can see the data and emotional intelligence will be just as much as science, as stock analysis and crypto analysis. Thanks coach. We'll throw it back to you in a second. We'll go back to Jour. And just to finish off on the MVP, the last comment from me is again, I just want to talk again about that streak and session thing. Here's a guy who, if you look at the time data, which I think we'll get up soon, we'l
l be able to see that on graphs. But if you look at the way he played during the week, he showed commitment, he came in and he put sessions together to get himself up that leaderboard and it all paid off in the last minutes. That streak thing is, I think we'll come back to that. I think that's going to turn out to be a strong behavior of good colonizers. You had a solid three or four sessions through the week, which got him to this position, nearly taken out the win. I'm looking forward to see w
hat Gerta does next week. Absolutely. Yeah. Okay, well we're going to do that. But before we jump into our preview of next week, this is a fun thing. We kind of did this last week. There's always a dark horse, isn't there? There's always a rookie and in these earlier days of Pollenizer, there's a lot of rookies coming in, playing for the first time. Some of them are familiar from our testing phase, some of them are completely new, some of them are just avatars. Don't even have good usernames to
go off. But I think we sort of talked about a rookie of the week, who is it? Rookie of the week? Dark horse, definitely Melody Berlin. Yeah. I agree a hundred percent. And she came in and as we mentioned before, she played every game and won it straightaway. Some of them she scraped through, but she showed that commitment, got the tournament medal, which you get for winning every game once and did all of that early in the week. And that for me is why she's rookie of the week. She's the one who s
et the pace now. She didn't come up ahead. That often happens in races, but played a critical role in this tournament. Definitely. One thing I noticed last week, we saw the winners etching ahead of each other and just pausing just enough to take the lead for the week. Melody, she sprinted ahead. She was 20, 30 Polly coins ahead early in the week and that's what really set the pace and got Gito and Cordova fired up. Yeah, got there to take that first. Thought. Competitive juices flowing and they
ended up going into two horse race, but she'll be back. There's no doubt she'll be back. Totally agree. I look forward to seeing more of melody in next week's tournament. Player. Deep dives will come back again next week, but it's time now for a preview and a recap and let's start by talking about the rewards for this week. The prize goes to Cordoba and he'll be picking up a meeting with a top crypto analyst. Now this is interesting because traders are also investors in a sense, aren't they? And
some of these top investors have these skills, but they've got them in the elite level. So I think this is going to be an interesting meeting to have someone come through, show their trading intelligence and then be able to talk to someone who's at the top of the industry, top. Of the industry for sure. Apollo Crypto, multi-award winning crypto firm. Henrik a legend of the game here in the Upside family. So it'd be great to hear just how KVA goes within that meeting. Obvious that KVA is a stron
g actor, analyst, trader himself. Trading intelligence. Exactly. The conversation itself will be a battle of the minds. That's right. And as time goes on, I think we'll be starting to bring some of those things into the show. So we're going to be able to see how these things pan out. We can't not mention the special digital assets this week. They've had a very good reception there, haven't they? Mars. For sure, especially the Gold Tiger, which again is earned by playing every game in the tournam
ent. You'll receive this little badge in the top corner here on your player profile and you'll be able to unlock that reward on the marketplace, followed by the Trading Tigers collection, which will be ongoing into our next few tournaments as well. There will be the.
