FILM DESCRIPTION: Night Watch director Timur Bekmambetov helms his first English-language feature film with this big-screen adaptation of Mark Millar's action-packed graphic novel. Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy) is a cube-dwelling hypochondriac whose uneventful life has become a mundane blur of terminal boredom. Repeatedly humiliated by his boss and constantly cuckolded by his cheating girlfriend, weakling Wes seems to be living right down to everyone's expectations that he would never amount to anything in life. However, upon discovering that the father he never knew has been brutally murdered, the spineless, clock-punching pushover is recruited into a secret society of assassins known as the Fraternity. During the course of his training, the man who was once an office-bound wimp develops lightning-fast reflexes and superhuman dexterity courtesy of his skilled mentor Fox (Angelina Jolie). Upon completing his training, Wes is assigned the task of dealing out death to the mythological Fates, who possess the ability to alter the lifelines of mortal men. It isn't long before the nebbish nerd-turned-agile assassin is erasing the bad guys with surprising efficiency, yet as Wes begins to carry the mantle passed down to him by his father, he gradually begins to suspect that his wise tutors are not the crime-fighting enforcers they present themselves to be. Now, with everything he ever wanted in life finally within his grasp, Wes is about to find out that the only thing more difficult than ending the lives of others is summoning the courage to take control of his own. Aerodynamics was invented in 1796: Everyone in 1795:
The main reason I love this film is its authenticity and realistic portrayal of firearms and ballistics capabilities.
It would've been funny if the elevator doors closed and he ran into them
He should have heard the gun shot on the phone
This movie gives a giant middle finger to physics
Physics: Exist Director: Imma end this mans whole career
This looks like a professional version of “threat level: midnight”
I switched off my brain when I first saw this for the first time. Best decision ever. 8/10 movie
I love how he gets inside the elevator because he calculates and realizes that he can't make the jump.
This scene just screams bollywood all over.
How it feels to chew 5 Gum. Stimulate your senses.
This scene makes way more sense when you know that the source material was about supervillains vs superheroes instead of this ultra weird physics thing they have going on here
Real messed up part about that, that was his house he was shooting from, didn't even leave the comfort of his lazy boy to kill dude.
I love this film. Its like escaping to an alternate universe. Reality and madness merged together beautifully. That's what I watch movies for, the crazy stuff, the escape from reality.
I love how everyone’s complaining about physics when literally countless movies don’t obey real life rules lol no one is complaining about it literally in any other movie lol.
1:09 I was like "whoa how did he do that”
Director- so basically the guy pulls out a flintlock pistol and no scope headshots a guy while flying in between buildings at high speeds” Crew- yeah sounds legit
He could not of made the jump, unless he had that extra meter of running provided by the open elevator. Seems legit.
Idc what anyone says, the shot at 0:47 was so badass lmao.
0:52 Nice job, he just swallowed a whole bunch of glass.
