We Had 2 Very Close Calls On The Farm, a Tornado and an Escapee!!

Rose Garden and the parter garden and I got one section done and I couldn't  do it no more I mean it was just it was unbearable we are all okay here on the farm after  the storm system came through um I really wasn't too worried about it at all you know we're in  Alabama we're kind of used to um used to you know severe thunderstorms and being on alert for  you know a tornado warning and whatnot and not worried about it at all and then about 10:30 I  guess 10 or 10:30 p.m. I had the weather on I

had our local weather on and I was watching it  and then all of a sudden a tornado warning for our area and as soon as I saw it I was trying  to figure out where it was going just I don't know 2 three minutes later they canceled it they  said it um that uh the the rotation that they saw lifted and they canceled it we I was like okay  well we'll be we'll be okay I'm just going to watch it from now and y'all about 5 minutes later  the tornado that they saw on r radar touch down again and it was p

retty close to us so that  time um we hastily went to the shelter got in the shelter um and then waited had my phone on uh  we didn't lose power or anything plus we do have a generator Katherine was texting Brook she lost  power and they're not that far from us actually they're only probably a mile or a mile and a half  from us the way the crow flies I mean roadwise it's a little bit longer but we could walk and so  we never lost power she said it got pretty scary over there and so once I realiz

ed that the storm  had passed and the tornado had passed um we got up got out of the shelter and it was really fast  it was really really fast that's the thing about tornadoes a lot of you guys ask us um we should  build something for the animals and then put the animals up you don't have that much time with a  tornado I mean this was is literally minutes just a couple of minutes if that for us to get get  ourselves together and get into the shelter um tornadoes are so fast uh especially these s

pin-up  tornadoes like we experienced this week they're just so fast y'all after we got out uh we started  seeing getting some messages that they knew of one Barn that was hit and it was right near near the  flying Peach and then a shop of somebody we know was hit and it was almost right next door to  the Flying Peach which is really a couple of miles from us luckily though far as we know that  no houses were damaged and nobody was seriously hurt at all but that was a close call for us it  reall

's 3,000 lbs I'm thinking he's about 2500 2300 I'm going to ask the vet and see what he thinks  but y'all noticed I had a bracelet on which I am filling up the water this morning but the bracelet  you saw I had on yesterday when I was measuring Moody was not for the water I got a new bracelet  around here and I got to tell you guys why because not all of y'all watch the live stream and you  don't know what happened on my birthday and why I got two bracelets for the boys over here see y'all  I go

t two bracelets because of the electric fence I now have a bracelet on electric fence and let  me tell you why so most of yall know we got the electric fence around the boy's pasture uh cuz the  first time Moody got out by basically basically y'all stepping over this 4ft fencing think maybe  a little taller than 4ot but anyways he's stepped over it what he learned was is he could push this  down just a little bit with his chin or head or whatever and then just step right over it like it  was not

hing well that's why we put the hot wire at the top for his protection and he quickly learned  cuz cows and cattle are very smart I tell you guys all the time animals are a lot smarter than we  give them credit for he learned extremely fast to respect that top wire and he never got out anymore  then I extended their pasture by adding this electric fencing back here in the back and again  the goats the boys Moody they respect this fence and what would happen is from time to time well  probably 50

% of the time y'all if I'm going to be honest I would forget to turn this fence on y'all  I I just would I would just forget to turn it on and usually what happens is once the animal learns  the fence and respects it they don't mess with it anymore they just assume it's on all the time well  that's where I made the mistake so I didn't plug it in and y'all me and Brooke were having some of  our coffee that morning and Dee started barking but it was a different bark Brooke looked outside  and she

said Jason the goats are out and I thought oh my gracious well this isn't that big a deal  it was Mo and Joe they were out as a matter of fact they were standing they were standing right  here at the corner of where the pigeons are the boys were right here now this fence isn't on I put  this fence up to help the beekeepers when the dogs don't go over there and mess with when we're  working the beehives so the boys were kind of right here right didn't think anything about it so  came over here th

e boys actually just followed me right back into the pasture I put the fence down  right back in there then Brook says Jason where's Moody so I was like oh Moody's over here he didn't  get out just the boys got out um so I started walking over here towards the pasture and then I  looked in the pasture and I didn't see Moody and y'all Moody can't hide he just can't I mean it's  impossible y'all saw in the last video if it's true he weighs 3,000 lb that's a 6ot tall 3,000 lb  B Vine that he can't

ve a hole somewhere in here and I never found it I absolutely  never found it but lo and behold he was next door which isn't very far it's just right right  here and thankfully the gentleman next door got a big garden over there he does have a big fence  around it but the gate was open but thankfully two things number one Moody didn't get in his garden  number two he hadn't really started on his garden so we went over there I got a pill of food we went  over there and he followed me back over um

like a little puppy but here's the kicker when we got  to this wooded area he would not come through it whatsoever zero he wouldn't come through it and  I still that's what I'm saying I don't know how he went through it to start with I just I don't  know we ended up having to just a little short distance right in front of our property lead him  on side of the road Brooke had her flashers on she was falling behind me uh luckily no cars  came by whatsoever and he followed me right over here right

on in and actually just walked  right back into his pasture so that is why I put a bracelet on the electric fence and I have  not forgotten to put the electric fence back on yet oh you may be asking I forgot to say how  he got out this privet this is what this is this is all Chinese privet that you see through  here this is all private has absolutely engulfed this property over here which is not mine it's  not my property you can see my fence lines right here so this Chinese privet has engulfed

this  property I'm thinking what happened is is maybe Moody since he's the tallest right here reached  over and ate some of that privet and he wasn't paying attention about the fence because he was  more interested in getting a little bite of this privet over here and when he went to take him a  little bite of this privet he kind of pushed on this fence a little bit right here and then he  quickly realized oh this fence is not on come on boys let's go have a parte that right my man  so that's w
