Hello, welcome to Elevation'sĀ
Google Grant explainer series. I'm Sam, head of online marketing at Elevation.
Today, we're going to kick off with a little intro to the Google Grant.
What is it? And why does your nonprofit need it?
The Google ad grant is a $10,000 a month in kind credit for nonprofitsĀ
to use on search advertising. Yes, you heard that right.
$10,000 a month. It might sound too good to beĀ
true, but I promise it's not. And the best part is it's easy to apply to.
You can be up and
running in less than two weeks. So, what exactly is this search advertising thing?
You know, when you Google something? And I mean, literally anything fromĀ
pizza to how do I change a light bulb? The first few results look a little different.
That's because they're paid results, which businesses can buy using Google ads.
Now, with the $10,000 in search ads, your organization can buy that same adĀ
space using the free credit from Google. What kind of actual impact canĀ
that bring to your organiza
tion? On average? One click on a search ad will cost $2 So inĀ
just one month, your organization could see 5000 new visitors to your website, think 5000 newĀ
potential supporters, volunteers, donors, and all the people who your nonprofit serves, who couldĀ
benefit from seeing the resources on your website. The grant is great at generating that kindĀ
of exposure and visibility for a nonprofit. For example, small local organizations mightĀ
have trouble reaching people in their area. But with the g
rant, they can serve theĀ
ads to people right in their community. Have I convinced you yet?
Are you ready to get started? Check out our next video about how to apply,Ā
you can complete the first step today.
