My sister was always crying and so
noisy. Today was especially bad. I put my hand over her mouth to shut her up,
but she stopped moving. I had no choice but to throw her down a well near our house.
When I looked the next day, she was gone. Five years later. I got into a fight
with a friend and hit him with a bat. He didn’t move even when I called out to him.
I threw him down that same well and left. When I went back the next day, his body was gone. Ten years later. A woman I spent time with
at a hotel when I was drunk got pregnant. I didn’t want that hassle. I put my hands around
her neck and then threw her down the well. When I went back the next day,
her body was gone as well. Fifteen years later. My boss told me off in front
of everyone, and I was so annoyed that I stabbed him and threw him down the well. When I went back
the next day, naturally, his body was gone too. Twenty years later. I grew tired of looking after
my sick mother. I just wanted her to disappear. I thre
w her into the well still alive. At
first she flailed about, but soon she stopped moving and just floated in the water. When I
went back the next day, she was still there. When I went back the day after that, and
the day after that… she was still there. So what do you think the twist in

As many of you guessed, the twist in this story is that the mother was helping her son all along. Whenever he threw a body down the well, it disappeared. Yet when he threw his mother down there, she didn't. Why? Because she was getting rid of the bodies all along. Extra points if you remember the Kowabana story that followed this exact same premise! This old country well might just be deeper than expected. The well just might be soo clogged up with bodies right now that the mothers body can’t sink deep below the surface.

The mother was the one who get rid the body from the well. So when he killed his mother, nobody else help to get rid of the body anymore.

I just had the "Oh!" moment when listening the second time. Such a shame, all mum's help cleaning the well being repaid this way. Although she probably should have seen it coming. 😅😹
