If I put a plate with a piece of lettuce stuck to it in the dishwasher that piece of lettuce will end up on a cup. Yes, definitely. You have to pre-wash your dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, otherwise they won't come out clean. So I don't do a full wash, but I definitely rinse them off. That's interesting. I didn't know that. I guess I will try not rinsing. Yeah, I don't... I don't pre-wash any of my dishes and they come out perfectly fine. Like I used to think as a kid that it woul
d submerge all the plates, and if I opened the door like gallons of water would rush out.

Buzzfeed is becoming like a B list celebrity from the 90's trying to stay relevant. You don't have to upload everyday. Quality over Quantity.

@BefuddledKim

But what's not mentioned is the fact this left on food will clog up your filter , so don't forget to clean that out regularly! ( bet some of you didn't even know there was a filter!)

@Mustang21ize

Who else washes dishes by hand? ✋🏼

@visceralities

By skipping rinsing dishes you can save up to 20 gallons of water each load and save the time and energy used to hear the additional water

@johns2468

I hate when you wash a spoon and water flies fucking everywhere

@CB-ie8gb

I've never prewashed ever in my life and my dishes are clean. Guess my dishwasher is some kind of magical machine, that can do what is expected from it without some humans messing around beforehand.

@natschmat917

I used to think dishwasher were some sort of magic machine where you'd put in your dirty dishes and then ten minutes later, they'd emerge squeaky clean and dry.  Then I learned that you have to pre-wash them so the caked-on grime comes off.  What's the point then?  If you're going to bother to pre-wash, you are already at the sink, just go all the way and wash the friggin' dishes by hand.  Those are my dishwashers: lefty and righty.

@Sprotdude17

I have a dog who pre-washes dishes for me.......

@krazus2036

Dont forget to add a teaspoon of detergent to your prewash dispenser/on the door if you dont have one! Most all machine have a 10 minute pre wash cycle that washes off the bulk of the mess. If you dont have detergent in that cycle its just water. The detergent also helps jump start the cleaning process breaking down stuck on food!

@johns2468

I bet buzzfeed's "idea meetings" are getting really long and boring

@nicoler.7805

Just do the Nicole way: put semi-dirty dishes in and run it. If they're dirty when it's done, it's not my problem. I've done enough work. Other people will do it, unless you live alone

@candiceblack86

I love the fact that my shear laziness, again and again, makes me a super eco warrior ✌🏼️

@isoluniv_714z7

My family never use the dishwasher. All of the dishes are hand washed. Guess I should start using it.

@garyjaycat

I don't have a dishwasher. I wash my dishes by hand, and because of the drought, I don't fill my sink with water first. I usually just wet the dish a little and scrub it down with a good sponge and rinse it off with a small amount of water. I never leave the water running unless I am rinsing something big.

@blazin220

0:41 who washes dishes like this!?!!

@evilsasha

When I bought my first dishwasher the user manual specifically said to rinse the dishes before putting them in.

@salinuh1467

Our dish washer is a drying rack for all of the clean, hand-washed dishes

@ToxicSkyStudios

Hate when the dish water is nasty but you have to stick your hand in to let the water out 😷😷😷😷😷

@annitamathew6184

Buzzfeed should do an experiment. Pre-wash vs. not pre-washed dishes in the dishwasher.

@BryanAndProud

Nah, I don't trust dishwashers. I can't be tasting last night's dinner while eating my breakfast.
