(roaring) When this strong, wild
leopard fell into a well, he knew it'd be hard to get out. The walls were high,
and the water was deep. He was starting to worry, but
he wasn't going to give up. He just needed to jump up and... no luck. He was strong, but his sharp
Claws couldn't find a grip. He kept slipping and
falling back into the water. He tried over and over, growing more and more frustrated. He was a strong, confident leopard used to solving problems all by himself. But this time, he real
ized
he couldn't do it alone. But he was in luck because
people showed up to help him. The leopard was relieved. This could be his chance to escape. The people had come up with a plan. First, they lowered a wooden
board into the well using ropes so he could hang onto it when
he got too tired to swim, and it's a good thing they did because he was gonna need all his strength for the next part of their plan, the pole. The people had lowered
it into the well too, hoping the leopard could
use it to c
limb out just like he would a tree. And even though he couldn't understand what the people were shouting, the leopard realized what
they were trying to do. The pole was a smart
idea, so he grabbed it, but he couldn't get a good grip. The pole was smooth, with no tree bark for his claws to sink into. Plus, he had to keep treading
water with his back legs while trying to climb with his front paws. It wasn't working. Maybe
if he used his teeth? Got it! Now he just had to pull
himself out. But it wa
s no use. He still couldn't grab the pole, and as strong as he was, he couldn't lift himself
out with just his jaws. He slipped back into the water. His muscles were too sore to try again. He needed to rest and regain his strength, but he started to worry. Maybe the people couldn't
help him after all. But then the whole
neighborhood showed up to help, along with a team of
professional animal rescuers, and they brought something
special, an animal rescue box. They carefully lowered it
into the we
ll with ropes. The leopard just had to climb in so they could lift him to safety. For a moment, the leopard
wasn't sure what he should do. He wanted to use his powerful body to get out of this well on
his own, not climb into a box. But then he remembered how
the other people had tried to help him with the board and the pole, and he decided to trust the rescuers. Except, there was still a problem. He needed to swim over to
the box, but he was so tired. He wasn't sure he could make it. Deep breath
, leopard. You can do this. You just gotta... swim! Go! Go! Go! Almost there! Just a few more strokes! (gasping) He made it! The leopard was so relieved, but only for a moment, because
something strange happened. When he got to the top of the well, the people didn't let him out of the box. Instead, they put the box in
a truck and started driving. The leopard started to get upset. (growling) Where were they going? Why
couldn't he leave right away? Was this part of the rescuers' plan? The leopard
decided to be patient. It wasn't easy. After what felt like forever,
the truck finally stopped. And when the door opened, the leopard carefully peeked his head out and realized where the
rescuers had taken him: to his new home, far away from any wells. Getting here had taken
all his leopard strength. But more importantly, it took strength to trust in the kindness of others.
