Woman shot and killed in Central District

good morning you guys right now we know that one woman is dead and the shooter is on the loose we're here in the Central District in the neighborhood that this fatal shooting happened at just yesterday evening you can see the scene has been cleared but the investigation continues this morning take a look at some video that we got last night uh when police were here investigating uh police tell us that they were already in this area of 24th Avenue South in South Main Street when shots rang out an

d about that same time they started getting 911 calls about a shooting right here in the Central District well when police arrived here they found a woman unresponsive lying on the sidewalk officers did attempt some life-saving measures but we're told that the woman died right here at the scene homicide detectives are now taking the lead on this investigation they're trying to piece together exactly what led up to this fatal shooting also trying to find the person who pulled the trigger so right

now Seattle Police is asking anyone who may have uh seen something suspicious in the area or saw what led up to this fatal shooting to reach out to them uh you could reach out to the SPD violent crimes tip line if you have any information or saw anything we'll of course keep you updated as the investigation continues reporting live in Seattle Jade Elliot Fox 13 News
