When I was almost a preteen, I actually hoped they would make a specific type of live-action movie based on Dora the Explorer, with something similar to this! I'm so glad they actually made a REAL live-action movie based on Dora the Explorer called "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" and to be honest, that movie actually turned out better than what I hoped for! It has a clever title, it has amazing graphics, it's almost faithful to the source material but with the warmth and charm of all action-adventure fantasy movies, it has much more of an appeal for kids, it's brighter, it's more cheerful, it's still a major improvement over the original series, and it's one of my favorite Nickelodeon movies!
