in this video we're going to take a trip back into reddits history as we cover the weirdest and darkest subreddits that have ever existed and you're probably thinking how bad could these subreddits be Reddit has been the go-to platform for a whole bunch of Niche communities where they can flourish and have their members talk about their interests amongst each other however this led to a bunch of controversial communities to Fu to Reddit to post strange and straight up borderline illegal content
online and I have spent days looking at really grotesque and horrific posts just so we can get together and talk about some of these weird and dark Reddit communities and I bet there's some stuff in this video that you probably never would have thought existed on Reddit why do somebody not know how to flush a toilet after they've had a [ __ ] me well it was fuing one of you oh man what a great start off with r/ rate my poop and I'm sure you can gu from the title of the separ it it's basically a
place where people share pictures of their own doodo sitting in the toilet balls and asking random strangers on the internet what their thoughts are and you know lots of pictures of poop and toilets some even hold it in their hands and members of the rap my poop Community would leave comments giving compliments to the [ __ ] like magnificent did you achieve this masterpiece in a one sitting certain cly did at the office too fantastic it's a keeper now shove it back up your ass it's the size of a
large battered sausage congratulations are in order on passing that Beast some smells good in there m what is that and that's basically the whole gist of the subred and just to L A quick Uber fact about the subred did you know it was originally a shock website yeah shock sites if you don't know basically a bunch of self-hosted websites where the main premise of it is to trick someone into going on the site and presenting them with absolutely horrific and shocking content according to the scream
er Wiki rate my poo was a shock site made in 2001 the site allowed people to upload pictures of their feces to have other people rate it from 1 to 10 along the sides of the website there will be links and ads to other shock sites and for some reason recently the site has gone into a political meltdown again from the screamer Wiki in 2019 the site partially closed all pages redirected to an image of the former president Donald Trump under the former president's picture the caption biggest piece o
f [ __ ] is written after Joe Biden won a 2020 election the website now redirects to bonequest decom and later redirected to rapy pussy.com so the original subreddit got banned for being unmoderated and you're going to see it's going to be a common Trend with all the subreddits thankfully whether you're a rap my poop member or not a new subreddit was resurrected from its ashes r/ R my poo missing a p at the end and the new subred was pretty dormant only a couple posts coming along each month wit
h u that actually included a picture of a piece of [ __ ] uh most of the other posts are people discovering the subreddit and basically posting what the hell is going on here however since the pandemic the sub has grown exponentially probably because of the people who were locked in their rooms all day really had nothing better to do than just to post pictures of their [ __ ] and upload it onto the internet for people to rate like I'm sure most people take this subreddit as some sort of satirica
l or comedic thing cuz who would want pictures of their poop to be made publicly available online for chronically online people to look at and stuff right well according to this article from M magazine one of the posts on r r my PO actually helped someone figure out that they had medical issues uh according to the article someone someone uploaded a a picture of their poop right and people mentioned that the poop had a sort of unique color to it and and some people even said that the op should ha
ve seen a doctor because chalky poop is a sign of liver issues these are Plushies that are also sensory and fidget toys that are extremely hard to find here is another subred about blowing loads of n into things r/ plus ofile now if you haven't heard the term plushophilia let me hit up good old Wikipedia and get you up to speed now according to Wikipedia plushophilia is a paraphilia involving stuffed toy animals many plush Ailes modify their Plushies with a hole or holes reminiscent of those fou
nd in sex toys allowing them to sexually interact with their plushies again most of the subreddit is just filled with people taking pictures of their plusher files with a whole cut in it so they can stick their dick in it I'm not going to be sitting here and just Kink shame these people you know there's nothing I can do to really stop them anyway now it's important to note that being a plusher file does not make you a furry they're only attracted to stuffed toy animals my life is like a video ga
me trying hard to beat the stage all while I'm collecting coins [ __ ] now I'm going to break the rule here and talk about a specific user that you probably heard of this Infamous Reddit user is called yay video games and I'm sure you heard about it especially if you watched the nexo video where he talked about the fella and it's that video where I'm going to base most of the information so we're going to give give you a quick rundown of what's going on here so in late 2010 yay video games with
a comment on an r/ gaming post where the op basically asks people what's their favorite Oblivion mods so yay video games would leave a scathing comment regarding oblivion's installation quote the uninstall button the game is great and all that but God is it hard to fully remove all the junk it leaves behind on your system you really need to check out that mod when the time comes to get rid of it otherwise I think oscaro Oblivion overhaul is a nice start and the comic got a nice clean two down vo
tes so yay video games would continue to voice their opinion after some rators responded with some confusion they're like what are you talking about you know you can't uninstall Oblivion doesn't leave a bunch of stuff behind then Y video games would respond to these redditors with the following the uninstall button the game is great Ubisoft goost Steamworks bye-bye always on DRM but you off to go work always on work Dr check out the junk it leaves behind in you okay now people are really confuse
d what the hell does Ubisoft have to do with Oblivion a game developed by Bethesda right and oh my God my shirt is ripping now people are like freaking the hell out what is yay video games even talking about people repeated the claims that Oblivion already had a working uninstall button you know any modifications to Oblivion don't directly install into your operating system it's only in the game you can just nuke the game files if you're really worried about leaving junk behind you know but it d
oesn't matter because Y video games would proceed to drop thousands and thousands of comments in the span of a few hours with all of them being variations of the phrase Ubisoft Steamworks bye-bye always on DRM some of them would have bold words italics God forbid some of them would have hyperlinks to really strange imagery I don't know how they got their hands on this kind of pictures especially because AI generated photos as we know them today didn't exist back then there's even a picture where
yay video games handw wrote the phrase multiple times on paper probably hundreds of times on paper like the thread was basically killed because Y video games kept spamming it with the same comments over and over and over again and the account was later deleted now this peaked the inches of some redditors who have heard of the yay video games conundrum and they began to investigate uh the account and everything to try to figure out what was actually going on now first of all the random pictures
that he linked found on some random tumblr post in other places on the internet other accounts from yay video games nope except for the poor a few who coincidentally had the name at the time had no [ __ ] idea what was going on seems like the investigation reached the dead end until Reddit user us/ so legit HS found a connection to yay video games and the subreddit r/ cleanliness and the sub is mostly about users sharing images and stories about how important being clean is and all that and it w
as through this subit that people discovered that yay video games had posted on there before they found an r/ clanless post where yay video games asked for help in regards to Magic and then as the investigation continued on turns out yay video games had multiple Reddit accounts such as u/ vinyl record and u/ not sure how big you are where he inhabits obscure subreddits and would repeat certain phrases in Reddit posts and comments in in expo's video he basically concluded that yay video games was
someone who used Reddit as a way to cope with their mental ill illness you know if this little summary peaked your interest I highly recommend checking out nexo entire video after you finish this one as long as you're pretty methodical and quick it shouldn't be a problem and we're left with a nice clean cartridge front and back well okay okay now this is the start of some really weird Trend among subreddits and I'm saying this like I didn't start the video talking about literal [ __ ] I want yo
u to take a guess on what the hell a subred called Jizzy carts could possibly mean is it a a a subreddit about decorating shopping carts in a fashionable Jizzy way B A subreddit about storing the Star Wars music genre jizz into portable cartridges for listening or C ejaculating on video game cartridges yeah this is a whole subreddit about blowing loads onto some old ass video games I mean I can't obviously show you the pictures but I'm sure you can imagine uh what they would look like just imagi
ne your favorite like NES N64 game and you know imagine just a couple of spooge stains on it you know and most of the posts on the subreddit come from three distinct accounts with pictures of [ __ ] stains on a copy of Perfect Dark on the N64 Mario Brothers on the Atari 2600 even a copy of Pokemon white on the Nintendo DS and of course like many other of these weird subreddits a lot of lurkers coming in and making sort of out of character posts talking about what the hell's going on in here you
know why you blowing loads on everything and of course this got banned for being unmoderated have you been struggling with the NOAB challenge constantly hitting one or two week streaks but always finding yourself back at square one okay our SL no fap it's a subred that encourages users to quit pornography consumption and or to quit masturbation and on the surface it seems like a noble go because there have been a lot of studies about the negative effect effects that heavy pornography conception
can have on people's mental state however once you start looking through the subreddit it seems to become obvious that the users kind of misconstrued this goal and started using it towards other things that aren't as Noble such as misogyny and rejecting science okay let me explain the subate had a very interesting start now according to Wikipedia nofap was founded in June 2011 by Pittsburgh web dev developer Alexander rhods after reading a thread on Reddit about a 2003 study which claimed that m
en who refrain from masturbation for 7 Days experience a 145. 7% spike in testosterone levels on the sth day and the subreddit really Rose in popularity even to the point where it got its own website and as the subreddit Rose this led to the more alarming parts of the subreddit to uh really stand out as I alluded to earlier the subreddit has a stance against science and they have threatened any scientist who want to research the subreddit with legal action particularly nofap's founder Mr rhods a
s we mentioned earlier he's in the business of threatening any scientists who would attempt to research noap it even got to the point where after he threatened to sue two scientists they released a public letter where they defended the need to be allowed to research and criticize nofap as noof fap operate in the public sphere however we deem it not only as legitimate but necessary to acknowledge and cite them as one prominent voice in the debate around masturbation abstinence everything else wou
ld be an unjustifiable muting of their stand and of course we have to mention the misogyny that occurs on the subreddit Wikipedia states that several journalists have criticized the subreddit as its members would reduce women to sexual objects to be abstained from and would also shame sexually active women and apparently noof fap users have also made YouTube videos where they were talk about anti-homosexual and anti-women topics and to just top it all off a New York Times article discussed about
white supremacists using the subreddit to promote the belief that porn is a Judaism conspiracy okay this is crack rock cocaine it isn't glamorous or cool okay these drug subreddits are probably some of the most wild subreddits to exist now these drug searates allow redditors to share their experiences that they had with these affirmation drugs most of them are accompanied with very interesting pictures however a lot of them just document their experiences through stories and there's also plenty
of funny Mayes and inside jugs that these drug subreddits have and there's also a lot of posts where redditors would celebrate their sobriety from these drugs I'm sure there's a lingering question in your mind of why do these subred exist in the first place you know many people are afraid that these drug subreddits are there to encourage drug use or to expose young children to the realm of hardcore drugs you know what I'm saying most users defend the use of these drug subreddits because many pe
ople who are addicted to these drugs don't really have anyone they could relate to other than people who share their stories and anecdotes on the internet so having a whole Community where people who are struggling with their addiction can come together and share their experiences it may help people uh quit these drugs you know and these sub rers do provide a lot of helpful and useful resources to help people get onto the path of sobriety that doesn't apply to the ambient subreddit that place is
all shits and giggles there most people just post whatever crazy [ __ ] they see while taking Ambien let's take a look at some of the crazy ass posts that have occurred on r/ amian yeah so our siiz ambient most of the time is just a bunch of people high on ambient just posting whatever crazy [ __ ] they see onto the subreddit obviously I'm not advocating for y'all to take ambian and abuse ambian let's see shout out to the time where I downloaded this picture of a mant 26 times on my computer na
ming each one the Buster is one where someone tried to send a phone number to their friend but since they're on ambient they could barely type [ __ ] ran out of cie cola they gave me two chips although I asked for an apple but that's okay oh they gave me the wrong sandwich oh no so r/ fat people hate is a subreddit about hating fat people mostly posting unflattering pictures and [ __ ] on the idea of fat acceptance what made it stood out from the other subreddits in this video is that it got pre
tty popular before it got banned it had around 150,000 followers these [ __ ] were ruthless according to the Vox fph recently targeted a woman named Rachel who had created videos that focus on her struggle with her weight fat acceptance and how forms like fat people hate were terrible within days fph found her YouTube channel and began aggressively down voting her videos the comments that followed were ruthless you are fat and awful triggered you have shell shock how long do you spend in the tre
nch you look like overstuffed privileged sheltered trash bag how dare you claimed such disorder you possess agency you never experienced trauma your entire life biggest worry is having pizza stolen yes yes she did she is garbage human being needs goag it's weird over privileged Millennials pretending to have PTSD is the new fashion you're on r/ fat people hate smile for the camera always great seeing fellow [ __ ] lords keep on hating good sire these fatties need to learn the jit Lords SL ladies
on r/ fat logic are good people and of course a lot of people would just upload pictures of fat people they personally knew and would absolutely just roast and scrutinize the [ __ ] out of them off for just simply being fat in the verge of detailed Reddit stance on these kind of communities quote in the wake of a new anti-harassment policy Reddit is Banning a handful of its worst communities our goal is to enable as many people as possible to have authentic conversations and share ideas and con
tent with an open platform a group administrator post reads we want as little involvement as possible in managing these interactions but we'll be involved when needed to protect privacy and free expression and to prevent harassment and of course members of the fat people hate movement really didn't take the band that well of course most of their members would migrate to other fat hater subres before they got banned as well some even went to Alternative Reddit platforms like said it and many othe
rs where they continue to run these fat people hate communities oh Jesus Christ this is going to get me banned off this God forsaken platform so this is basically a group of anti- africanamerican Subs where people would just make racist ass posts RAC memes air out their racist grievances that they have against black people and some of the subreddits include r/ nword and r/ [ __ ] nword says and a whole bunch of other racist subreddits I think it's obvious that I'm not going to show any kind of p
ost that these riters made because I'm sure you get the idea and I don't want this channel to get banned of course these Subs got banned and one thing to note the Reddit general manager ER Eric Martin said that he gave the subreddit multiple chances to clean up their act and comply with the rules saying quote users can tell from the amount of warnings we extended to a sub as clearly awful as r/ Nords that we go into the decision to ban subreddits with a lot of scrutiny I mean the one problem is
that why would he think a subreddit called that would ever clean up their act and comply with rules that are against disrupting and harassing other communities what and of course when these subreddits got banned a lot of substitute subreddits began to crop up such as this one that show on screen which of course got banned later as well no matter how many times you see it it is still just as terrifying I do want to show one photograph as well remember the tragedy that was the Boston Marathon B of
2013 well when the incident happened people were rightfully upset and have decided to take matters into their own hands to find those who are responsible because when the tragedy happened no one had any idea who committed this heinous act enter r/ find Boston bers a subred dedicated to finding those who were responsible which soon spiraled down to this hellish situation where a bunch of redditors sitting in their DX racer chairs decided that they could do better than professionally trained law
enforcement and detectives to basically start a Witch Hunt against people who turned out to be not responsible ible for the attack now according to a former moderator on this post from r/ off my chest the Ser that was created after a thread on r/ news which focused on fighting the culprits became really popular now because the thread was unmoderated and a whole bunch of writers shared some wild ass information that came out of nowhere which basically contained a huge range of accusations towards
random people basically people wanted to have the thread more organized into a subreddit where people can actually moderate it and kind of verify and make sure that the information that random people were providing was actually correct as stated from the former moderator the real point of the subur was to get people together and encourage critical thought and skepticism rather than ramp and vigilantism and even though the subreddit and the moderators had a noble goal of trying to find suspects
without involving vigilantism uh that's basically what happened the subreddit really got into hot water after members deci decided to accuse innocent people of being responsible for the attacks one notable individual included Sunil tripathy who unfortunately passed away on March 16th 2013 after the FBI published photos of the potential suspects who could be responsible r/ fine Boston members claimed that the photos resembled Sunil especially after a woman claiming to be his classmate stated on T
witter that sinil looked like one of the suspects and this led to a whole bunch of people contacting his family and sending them threatening messages sunno had become the prime suspect in the internet's eyes as one of the two co-conspirators of the Boston and it wasn't until the FBI confirmed the real suspects jiar and Tamarin sarv and because of that [ __ ] show that just happened with misidentifying the suspects r/f find Boston B was later privated and the Reddit general manager Eric Martin la
ter apologized on their behalf and criticize them stating quote the Reddit staff and the millions of people on Reddit around the world deeply regret that this happened we have apologized privately to the family of the missing college student Sunil chipy as have various users and moderators we want to take this opportunity to apologize publicly for the pain they've had to [Music] endure oh boy r/ I and r/5 50 so r/ I it was a shock subreddit or is meant to be one of those misleading subreddits wh
ere if you mistyped I bleach you would reach this sub instead now r/ I bleach the correct way to spell it is a subreddit where it basically showcase you know cutesy adorable kind of happy content like cat videos and other wholesome moments the name refers to like having a like a cleaner or refresher for your eyes hence the name I bleach you know meanwhile I bleach without the a is the exact polar opposite of what I bleach is you probably have a good idea what that means it's all yeah I know the
entire point of the SE was to trick people who accidentally misspelled I bleach into seeing people blown into bits and such it's similar to goggle.com you know the website that would give you a virus because it's so easy to misspell google.com into that and what could possibly happen to a community whose sole purpose is to post the most grotesque [ __ ] you can see on the internet people started putting illegal content on there and it was barely moderated so you know what that means got a quick
bannerino yeah I got banned yeah this ban coincides with Reddit basically cleansing itself of any other subreddits that contain content however if you want to go on Reddit and you want to check out some of that stuff there's always r/ 5050 this sub has been around for a long long time the whole gimmic is that there's a basically a 50/50 chance that some post may contain some grotesque image or some wholesome nonviolent image it's a gambling man's game pick a post and see if you're seeing puppies
or you're seeing red and the subr also became an internet Trend called the Reddit 50/50 challenge where people would record themselves basically reacting to what kind of post they get on the subreddit whether they see gross [ __ ] or wholesome Mayes and a whole bunch of YouTubers did this trend years ago marlier did it Jack sepai did it even the [ __ ] Fine Bros did a YouTubers react with uncensored footage hello everybody today we are going to be looking into the odd disappearance of Michael R
ockefeller r/ cannibalism Advocates okay so based off the sub's name you can guess what it is it's basically people advocating for cannibalism rights the subred was pretty small right around 500 members at the time uh most of the post consists of people claiming to be real cannibals doing like askem any things and advocating for cannibal rights and you're probably thinking to yourself what are these cannibal rights that they're talking about well basically the gist is that as long as the person
being eaten and the person eating them are both consent adults what's the big deal why would that why should that be illegal you know what I'm saying you know those who support cannibal rights basically cite ancient rituals that tribes would do back in the day humans have been eating each other for a long time so why would we stop now and of course all the other post just fetishize cannibalism where people would ask others on what kind of meat they like to eat like what part of the human they li
ke to eat some some people would even offer themselves up to be eaten and of course there's a lot of Meetup requests and as I mentioned earlier the sub got banned however it got banned due to posting violent content and not the usual you know it's not a moderated kind of deal 60 exclusive now if you spent time online and read comment sections of websites you've no doubt seen some pretty vile offensive comments written by Anonymous people okay so this is probably the most infamous subreddit to da
te r/ jail bait now for those who don't know what jail bait means good old Wikipedia will get you up the speed jail bait is is slang for a person who is younger than the legal age of consent for sexual activity and usually appears older with the implication that a person above the age of consent might find them sexually attractive so with that definition in mind what do you think was the average picture on r/ jailbait yeah I'm obviously not going to show y'all what was on Ras jail bait and this
subet definitely challenged the Free Speech aspect of redddit now according to Wikipedia most of the Reddit High higher-ups vehemently opposed to having this subed exist but they were convinced that r/j baates Creator / violent Acres will be capable enough to moderate the subred and remove any illegal content that may exist on there it was because of this uh line of thinking that jail bait and all the other subred that we talked about not too long ago were allowed to exist as long as you keep it
tidy and not have any illegal content on it we won't bat I and this sub was very popular unfortunately it even got to the point where jailbait won 2008's subreddit of the year and look even though the subreddit had amassed a huge amount of controversy at the time the subreddit was only known by like chronically online people if you were like a mother of two back in the late 2000s you probably had no idea what the hell of Reddit was so the subreddit kept stewing staying lowkey as lowkey as a sub
reddit can get back in the late 2000s and it stayed like that until one notable news reporter sniffed out the [ __ ] storm that exposing this community would cause enner Anderson Cooper one was called jailbait and it featured sexually suggestive photographs of teenagers images that bordered on child we reported on it last year a couple weeks later Reddit shut down the jailbait forum for years the guy who created and moderated these forums hid behind the online screen name violent Acres but last
week the website gawo revealed who he actually is yeah because of this report the subred experienced a huge amount of Traffic Wikipedia said the subred peaked at 1.73 million views after Cooper's report was released and it even led to some articles claiming that Anderson Cooper was promoting inappropriate Kitty pictures this led to a massive online movement which demanded redit to shut down the subreddit especially after a jailbit user uploaded a picture of an underage girl and claim to have ill
egal pictures of her it was this specific thread that led to many redditors talking about how this sub may be a central hub for creepos to distribute CP because of that thread and just inevitably the Reddit hups decided to give in and ban the subreddit on October 11th 2011 now jail bait supporters criticized the decision as Reddit giving into the negative media pressure and going against their freedom of speech ideals some even claimed that the controversial thread was a setup created by members
of the something awful forms to get the subus shut down and in the aftermath of jail bait's closure the daily called violent Acres the founder the most important person on Reddit in 2011 as they claimed that jail bait was the first major challenge to the site's voluntary doctrine of absolute free speech so there you have it looking back at the weirdest and darkest Reddit communities to have ever existed so what do y'all think make sure to leave a comment down below if you enjoyed the video don'
t forget to like comment and subscribe don't forget to to check out my Kofi too if you want to you know support me a little more I'll see you guys in the next video uh y mama
