I hate Education These are very strong words And education based creators like us saying these things can definitely shock you But, today I want to share something from my heart I want to tell you that I, as a student till 9th standard never liked studies I used to hate going to school Because I have 3 complaints from our education system Such 3 complaints, through which you may relate as well If you like this video, Then do share it with your friends Start a conversation regarding education By
the way, from January you have supported us a lot so thank you for that After a lot of efforts We raised our subscriber count upto 32% But still many of you from the 68% haven't subscribed to the channel If you are new here, Then please don't forget to subscribe the channel You will require only 2 seconds But we get a lot of motivation due to it Complaint 1: No one to talk A few days ago, I read a very depressing news That a 10th standard student from Rajasthan committed suicide And said that 90
% marks is not my cup of tea I give up I quit And such stories are there in every corner of the country Ask about it in your family itself I am sure that someone in your family must have heard a story That some known kid commited suicide Why? Because, the pressure of studies is a lot Competition is a good thing, but till when? Today, this competition has become an unhealthy competition Where, even after getting 99% marks they don't get their preferred college Today, in India one out of three stu
dents say that the pressure for studying is very high So much so That his mental health gets affected Let me narrate a true story My 10th standard exams were over 13 years ago But even today I get a dream That my paper is not getting over Later I realise that it was a dream So, boards were traumatizing for me as well But I don't think that I shared this with anyone when I was in 10th Because there was no such person to share Just think, even after so many years If this exam pressure disturbs my
sleep Then, when I was actually in 10th standard How much would this pressure be? All kids internalise this pressure They talk to no one about this And this is the problem National Institute of Mental Health states That 1 out of 5 students at least once in their student life can go through a serious mental health problem If a class has 60 students Then 12 out of them at this moment would be in such pressure that it may have become a disease So much of pressure, is it healthy or unhealthy? And wh
o will decide this? Teachers? If you have good teachers then your are lucky But teachers usually focus on 10% best students of their class And compare all other students with them only Some teachers forget That every child is unique Every one have different skills And their grasping capacity is also different Teachers usually don't listen And parents scold us when we say something So whom should a student talk to? We need an Ombudsman Ombudsman is an independant person who has connection neither
with teachers nor with the parents of students Conversation between them and the student is kept strictly confidential And their sole objective is to help students and solve their problems World's best education system is in Finland Where the focus is on the overall well being of the student Here, there are such ombudsmen In 2012, there was a debate in Parliament Where it was proposed that in high pressure institutions like IIM and IIT Let, "Ombudsman" be appointed But, its been 10 years, and t
his thing is forgotten Our education system lacks counsellors Along with the day to day problems who guides students about their career as well Without any judgement who tries to solve problems of the students Its not like all the students are innocent Some students just make excuses But, due to this exercise even if one life is saved Then I feel it is worth it Ok, then what can we do? Until, all schools don't have counsellors or ombudsman We have to keep an eye in our surrounding If you have a
younger brother or sister Then keep an eye on them Talk to them naturally Do small talks Try to reduce their pressure When a kid is in an important year like 10th or 12th Usually relatives talk about studies only A student is naturally under pressure He knows that this is an important year Its not needed to remind repeatedly When relatives keep reminding That this is an important year You have to study a lot this year You have to study passionately Students never get a break from studies If you
meet a student like this Then talk about any topic But don't talk about studies He is studying Can you complete his share of studies? No, right? Then don't talk about it Complaint 2: Factory of Robots Thomas Macaulay Once I get a time machine, I am going to end this person first Because whatever problems we have in our education is because of this person In the 19th century, He roamed around India And he saw that the education system here is very good Here, students study while being in nature L
ocal education is gained in local language Learn about the animals & birds around They connect to nature and their village through education And this was completely against British agenda Till we had our old education system Till then on the basis of divide and rule it was impossible to break India So they brought english education system Basically they made us an English speaking slave They cut off our roots And enforced this on us That, whatever is local is of no use is inferior And if "suit-b
oot" is involved Then it is superior This is how subversion happens And you can watch a great documentary on this Macaulay's only objective was to create people who look like Indians But are Englishmen in thoughts They behave like Britishers They help Britishers to control India's vast population Ok, western education was not just evil They also brought some good concepts But the big problem is that they made us a robot They made us a slave of industrial revolution They made us an obedient serva
nt They made a robot who will silently work in the factory Who comes and leaves on time Doesn't violate rules And most importantly Listen to everything their superiors say Never question their superiors Just think, even today in schools We are told to keep short hair, wear uniform, Never be late to school We are being trained like a robot And the sad part is that Even after 75 years of independence we still follow this english education system British came and went For our problems of today Till
when are we going to blame them All these problems which exist today we have raised them And we have to solve it too The problem is that we carried on all the bad points of english education system But we forgot to revive all the good points of our education system What do I mean? Let me give you an example In the gurukul system, students learned through enquiry When the teacher taught something students discussed it amongst themselves They used to get involved They searched for the truth and t
hen ask questions to the teacher A student asking questions was not punished But was rewarded This is known as "Samvad" Samvad means conversation Where, it was possible to test a theory subjectively It was accepetd that Each person may have a different experience Truth can be subjective If you have a different ideology Then that doesn't mean you are wrong and I am right This wasn't a rigid system There was scope for scrutiny And not only India needs this today but the whole world Curious student
s were rewarded And the best example is in our history History means, Mahabharata and Ramayana Where our characters ask questions directly to god Question their decisions Because if God's actions can be questioned And if the teacher is a form of god Then asking questions to teachers isn't wrong Yes, but the approach must be correct Respect must be there But asking questions must not be stopped Arjun stood against his teacher in Kurukshetra Does that mean he was a bad student Not at all He was fi
ghting for his truth Today, our education system kills our individuality itself We are made into a corporate slave Where artificial intelligence, robots are gettting creative Through our education itself we are killing our creativity If it continues like this Robots may or may not replace us But we will definitely replace robots Complaint 3: Unfair Advantage Imagine, if you are running a race where you start from here and your competitor starts 10 feet ahead of you One is running and another is
cycling Will you consider this race as fair? Life is that kind of a race Life is not fair And our education system is similar Where should one be born is not in our hands If our parents have the resources And if they are ready to spend those resources on education Then we can take admission in a good school If there are good teachers in a good school Then we may get good education Before the race of life starts Its been decided for us what our starting line will be In the coming future which opp
ortunities will be open for us And once the school starts Our education system encourages only one type of learners Those who can memorise and write it in exams Basically a student who is not smart but "Chatur" Who memorises without understanding and gets marks in exams How does it matter if he understood it or not No matter how much we say it in the movies that such people fail in life But the truth is that such people too get many opportunities Even for getting admission in IIT you have to sco
re good marks This is only one type of learning But in reality, there can be 8 different types of learners Some have a photographic memory They can remember by just seeing it Its like, it got scanned in their head Some are kinesthetic learners Who learn through activity They can't focus just by sitting at one place Some are auditory learners who learn by listening The neurons of different people fire differently in the same situation Which means, something is very easy for someone and difficult
for someone else Now, there is space for different types of learners Those who have a visual memory Can become a good travel guide Can become an artist Can become an athlete or a musician These are those fields about which we don't get exposure in schools We all are special We all have some unfair advantage Our education system must groom an individual And help them in identifying their unfair advantage And not clip off their wings If you got any value from this video or got to learn something n
ew then share it with your friends Because new education policy is coming Now, we have an opportunity to bring all these problems under government's notice Because our youth is the country's future And if we don't take the correct steps today Then no one can stop the youth from going out of the country And then we will ask the same question Which we have been asking from past 200 years When will India become the golden bird And sharing this important fact with you makes a difference to me

@sanikapatil1769

The actual problem in our education system is we are taught to remember not to understand

@Matrix_Escaper_1

Today was my 9th class report day. I got 3rd rank yet my parents think I could perform better and didn't appreciated my marks. In india the biggest problem is they think marks decide our future. More marks = More intelligent (Edit: we are stuck in MATRIX. Escape 9-5 and enjoy your life)

@m.j.24

I am an UG student, according to me only self- competition is the way to get rid of all mental issues. Forget your friends score, toppers ranks etc. Just try to satisfy with your score by analyzing your efforts and marks. If not getting it, be analyzer of yourself because exams never end.

@animefanskaadda2293

2 biggest problems in Indian schools are 1 abusive teachers 2 memorizing education system

@Shawwryaaa

This is extremely well put. Being a 12th class student I can relate and understand everything informed in this video. Practicality and realism gets thrown out of the window in this education system and the sad part is aware students are ridiculed for opposing it 🙂

@THESOURBOY7

THERE ARE TWO THINGS MISSING IN OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM 1. EDUCATION 2. SYSTEM

@lachimolalaalien9182

Our education JUST tests how much we can store in our mind. THAT'S IT!!

@kamal6164

I am a teacher, in the profession for the last 22 years. What you said is very true. Fortunately, the current Principal of my school is aware of this and encourages creativity by teachers in the classroom and doesn't like to pressurize students. The main reason could she herself is a certified counsellor and wants the best from her students, not necessarily academics.

@Devanshi1206

Every educational system needs one man like you .....

@sayaribhattacharya8886

Even as a Master's student I can relate the situation 100% ... Education and learning becoming frustrating day by day just because of this corrupted system and some toxic teachers.. We have no freedom we are just slaves.. 😊

@rishav6869

This is true. In schools teachers don't talk about other career opportunities rather than Engineering and Medical. Not even parents. This is the reason why students don't get the chance of exposure. I just hope one day just one day this education system changes drastically and it gets a new and meaningful form. India is the ocean of youths and a country will only change when the youth will change and explore other opportunities rather than getting into rat race so that India can develop overall. Thank you Abhi and Niyu for making such video. Keep cherishing❤

@gaganahuja26

I'm studying at an IIT and I can tell how this place truly reflects what our nation has become. It's supposed to be the innovation hub, a place where the student crowd is supposed to be the most insightful and thoughtful. Well, it's nothing but a lie. A very small percentage of people have any vision. People just run behind CGPA, Internships and Jobs. They try to act superior if they get placed at a higher package job and you are failing in your startups. Coding has become the next JEE here, you just need to mug up a 450 question sheet, get a job and forget your own innovative thoughts. Almost nobody cares about real learning, creativity or doing something for the world. Everyone just wants a higher package job. This IIT is literally the worst thing I could give to my Creativity.

@utkarshshukla4048

This video is emotional to every student... If I were from England, then I must have given Macaulay a salute for his move. Today, we as Indians are being taught in English and we see English speaking people as more worthy than a person who is speaking regional language. Our education system is dependent on the coaching institutes and online coachings. Our teachers from government schools should have only one task to educate, rather than having election duties or any other thing. Jai Hind

@aryarathore6817

Just now I gave my 10th board exam... Looking back it was the worst year of my life not because of academics but the harm caused to my mental state. I was bullied by my classmates when I used to share with the dean sir, the 10th in charge they used to just listen to my problems. One day I broke down in front of them and gave up to come to school. To convince me they gave me a fake promise of segregation which didn't last for more than 15-20 days because they asked us to self-study and sent no teacher to our class. My 10th class was ruined, out of 33 students only 2 students came to study rest all came for bullying teachers and other students, brought liquor, and wape. Neither principal would listen to me and my mom nor the school’s manager. I was in a serious depression for 1 month and during the whole year, I used to cry by keeping my head down. There was no one with me. So I stopped going to school for the last 2 months of boards and wrote a letter to the principal explaining my problem and she approved it. At last, when my exams got over principal called my brother into the cabin and said that I was a crazy girl who used to sit at last and cry the whole day, say negative things to teachers, and laugh with my friends. Wowoowowoowowoow they proved me crazy for my depression, I was on the verge of suicide as I was tired of a bully and it was traumatic state when I used to sit in class. These memories still haunt me and I cry when I remember those days with tears in helpless eye. I hate my class 10th

@joythespeech-less1379

Q: What changes do you wish to see in the Indian Education System? A: Dignity of labor, less pressure on students on scoring marks, by both teachers and parents, make a proper and realistic yearly plan to not rush and rat race for syllabus

@naitikjain3277

To all the students here, Don't STOP. Keep trying new things, and keep experiencing new things. Don't limit yourselves. Life is UNFAIR. You will face challenges and you will have to counter them. School is important not just because of the padhai but because you get to meet people and make new friends. You don't always have to decide up to 10th or 12th that what you have to do. Change yourselve according to the situations. Make small targets also and try to achieve them. Think about what kind of job or activity will give you a bit of satisfaction and find out how you can achieve them. Don't be fully satisfied. Always try to better yourselves. Appreciate others as well. Be kind. Life is full of surprises.

“Education is what remains after one has forgotten everything he learned in school. It is a miracle that curiosity survives formal education. ” Thank you so muchh 👏❤
