Sam how you guys started this game was not how you ended this game at what point was was there kind of a a switch flip there uh sometime early in that second quarter they were just uh you know I feel like we came out and wanted to play the right way and do things right away and they just had you know a lot more Pace to them and they're a difficult matchup especially if you haven't seen them in a while they play really fast and both transition and in the half court so we had to get adjusted to th
at a little bit and then you know from early on in that second quarter for the rest of the game our defense really tightened up the Zone helped out a little bit we were able to slow them down a little bit so um overall pretty good effort we've talked a lot about just being under man and everybody having to step up and not kind of being a part of the identity of this group what did you guys show on that token again tonight yeah uh got a lot of guys out uh really cool to seeing who come in and you
know nail four threes or whatever and hit a hit a jumper and you know the way he communicates and and whatnot was big for us and Carris was fantastic and um Tristan doing his thing on the offensive glass so that's what we've had to do all year seems like and uh I think we showed that again tonight you mentioned Caris just two rebounds shy of a triple double tonight what impressed you most with how he played out there his playmaking has just been so good for us I feel like every game now I look
up early in the third quarter he's got 78 assist so um he's obviously a competitor and plays really hard and uh uh you know has an ability to get in the ban that we need especially without Donovan um and has done a really good job making decisions for us IND di obviously trying is fighting for for seating just like you guys are how much was that also just a motivating factor of tonight's play yeah we knew it's big it's it's Big Stretch coming up uh we know there were tiebreakers at stake tonight
uh and obviously they're you know if the season ended today I think that's who we would be playing in the first round so uh we knew this was you know an important game a division team you always want to play well against and uh you know every every team is going through injuries and whatnot right now so happy to come out with the win
