have you ever wondered if you have the power to  knock someone out well I sure have and although we all imagine this scenario playing out in  our heads in reality knocking someone out is a lot harder than it seems today we are going  to reveal the secret and mechanics behind what is a perfect knockout punch and give some tips so  what even is a knockout Knockouts actually come in many different forms so we have the more  common Knockout where someone gets St from a punch and can no longer contin
ue this person  is not fully unconscious but is in no condition to fight these type of Knockouts are usually  considered as technical Knockouts the rarer but more devastating Knockouts are the ones where  the opponent gets their lights completely shut out in today's video we will primarily be discussing  the Knockouts where people get their lights shut out before we explain the mechanics behind the  perfect knockout punch we must first explain how it happens a true knockout punch usually occurs
when a punch lands on the chin this is because the chin acts as a lever and causes your head  to rotate with a punch this harsh rotation then causes the brain to slam into the School causing  concussions which obviously cause damage to the brain there are nearly 100 billion  neurons in your brain these little guys use electricity to send messages and  to do that they rely on keeping pottassium outside and sodium inside but unfortunately  for them the shock waves from the blow cause the brain to
stretch and little holes  to form in a lot of neurons making it impossible for them to send messages until  those little holes close up which usually take a few seconds or minutes leading to a  factory reset of the brain this is how and why our brains shut off with certain punches  let's start off by taking a look at a perfect knockout kick over and out the first thing  Pereira does is utilize his body like a spring loading his legs into the punch it is so  important that Fighters generate thei
r punching power from their legs and torso over their arms  looking at this graph we can clearly see that a majority of power from knockout artists is  generated from the back foot in torso the arms carry the power from the legs and torso to  the opponent from this load position he starts to twist from his torso to load up his hook  all this power also known as kinetic energy travels across the body to the target's head if  we watch this clip again from a different angle we can first see the ang
le at which the hook  was thrown from during the initial motion his opponent keeps his high guard up however because  the hook is being thrown from such a low angle the opponent can no longer see the hook coming  causing him to lower his hand Perera also keeps perfect form in his arms throughout the punch his  arm is constantly at a 90° angle which allows him to transfer power better keeping your arm in  a locked position allows you to transfer the power from your lower body instead of just usin
g  your upper body lastly as the punch lands on the opponent at the last second Pereira seems to  chop or turn his wrist into the punch this allows for prepar to hit his opponent's chin  with his knuckle over his fist all these tiny factors are what accounted for this devastating  knockout another example of a perfect knockout is this the first thing Connor does is bounce back  and forth baiting his opponent into a punch this causes his opponent to jump into his attack  Connor capitalizes on the
momentum from his opponent and uses it against him not to mention  Connor also throws this punch from a lower angle if the punch were thrown from a regular High  yard his opponent would have been able to see the punch coming but he didn't Connor also pivots  very well off his back foot adding force from the ground into his punch from a different angle we  can also see the perfect Precision of the shot which plays a big factor in The Knockout even  though the punch Connor through wasn't the most
powerful or fastest it was still able to render  his opponent unconscious this is largely due to how fast his opponent was coming in the Precision  of the shot and the invisibility of the punch although there are similar patterns between all  Knockouts not all Knockouts happen in the same way and there are many factors which go into  one however even with the seemingly infinite possibilities through our extensive research  we were able to find a long forgotten secret only truly understood by ma
rtial arts Legends  and to explain it you'll have to understand how a whip works when you swing a whip you put  a good amount of energy into it causing the handle to slowly move that energy then travels  down through the whip where it becomes thinner and thinner the thinner the whip gets the faster  it moves because the initial energy is traveling through a lot less whip the same energy that  made the big fat handle move slowly is now concentrated into a tiny strip causing it to  move very fast
fast enough to break the sound barrier so what what does a whip have anything  to do with punching well you see another reason a whip carries a lot of energy is because it is  loose if you were to make a whip solid and stiff it would no longer generate the same velocity  as a loose whip a solid and stiff whip is just a stick so instead of being relaxed and amplifying  the speed as the whip gets thinner it immediately transfers the initial motion without doing so  the same concept can be applied
with punches when punching with any sort of stiffness in the muscles  especially The Agonist muscles the stiffness will not allow for the maximum amplification of  velocity and as we know velocity is a big factor into producing brutal knockout punches  this philosophy of relaxing and staying loose has been known for a while but most predominantly  preached by Bruce Lee Bruce Lee has stated the more relaxed the muscles are the more energy can  flow through the body using muscular tension to try t
o do the punch or attempting to use brute  force to knock someone over will only have the opposite effect but when talking about the most  devastating knockout punches one more huge Factor comes into play being able to disguise and Hydra  punches is a big factor which produces Knockouts when an opponent is unable to see a Punch coming  or they have no idea where a punch comes from they are unable to brace for the blow usually people  who see a Punch Coming prepare their bodies to lessen the dama
ge they tense up their muscles they  tuck their chin they bite their guard they engage their core and they stabilize their stance these  things less than the damage a punch does so if you don't see it coming you won't do those things  and you take the full force of the punch from our two previous examples we were able to see  that both Connor and Pereira did a great job of hiding their punch so that their opponent couldn't  see it this is why the effects of their punches were so destructive firs
t and foremost the first  thing everyone must know about trying to obtain the touch of death is that genetics play a huge  Factor but just because you don't have Deontay Wilder genetics doesn't mean you can't obtain  power everyone can obtain power but your genetics usually affect how high your ceiling for power is  to start off I will say that having really good muscular coordination will benefit your knockout  power more than pure Force development that is why dancing from a young age can high
ly benefit boxers  later in life this also proves that just because you could squat heavy or deadlift heavy doesn't  mean it transfers to knockout power although both coordination and force development are important  having the proper technique in learning how to utilize your entire body into a punch is one of  the most important ways you can gain power so step one of obtaining knockout power is getting  a proper trainer who can really teach you the correct way to throw punches everything from t
he  back leg pivot to shifting weight and punch form will all increase your power without a doubt once  you learn the correct form of punches you must then learn to relax your muscles when punching  when looking at all the top sprinters in the world all of them keep themselves relaxed to Sprint the  fastest as we learned before energy travels better through relaxed muscles lastly having freedom  of movement is a key factor when it comes to being able to knock someone out the ability  to freely m
ove your body is an important and underrated way to gain an edge over your opponent  the best examples of Masters of movement include Muhammad Ali Conor McGregor and even Mike Tyson if  you're interested in learning how to actually move I would check out this guy named Ido portal  he understands the concept of movement a lot better than I do and also goes more in depth  now to end things here's a quick final bonus tip for you aspiring Combat Sports athletes even  though fighting is a very Series
Sport with many risks you must not forget to have fun I've come  across a lot of Fighters who treat every sparring session like it's their real match learning how  to have fun while sparring our training in general correlates to learning faster as well that is one  of the reasons muay thai fighters are always seen being playful when they Spar when you take things  too seriously it causes your cortisol levels to rise which doesn't allow you to relax and limits  your brain's ability to learn I ho
pe you gained some insightful Knowledge from this video and  we hope to see you again see you next [Music] time

The fluid in the inner ear which is your level is key. If the fluid gets knocked over to one side and your body thinks you're lying down, then that's what your body will do.

@jay-praru236

The sprinting example is very true, I remember on my track team one day my coach told us to give it out 100 percent in sprints and the next practice he said just give 80 percent and we ended up all just feeling more comfortable and more efficient and overall faster bc we were relaxed and not forcing our muscles

@VUnit258

Video is a little convoluted though interesting. Like showing a chart on cross KOs over Poatan’s left hook. And the emphasizing how Poatan rigidly held a 90 degree angle for his hook then moving on to staying relaxed lol Also the topic of relaxation feels a bit incomplete to me. And I do see the same issue everywhere. Hopefully this makes sense. Yes, relaxing is key to allow the force from your legs to travel to your punching limb. But you must be rigid for maximum transfer of force into your target. Like for ex. w/ a cross; once at/near full extension of leg, hip rotation, trunk rotation, and arm extension, each part of the chain needs to be rigidly locked sequentially. Firmly connecting the ground to your target. Like, with the proper structure, you could still do good damage by stiff arming someone providing the velocity themselves and running at you lol.

@realpexipex

based on the insane quality of the video i was expecting you to have atleast 100k subs, but no, hopefully you have a quick growth because this video is of very high quality

@fecyou

Bro you deserve more subs this is so high quality I'm definitely subbing

@SixDigitOsu

Well put video with solid explanations, i hope you get the recognition you deserve from it :)

Please continue to make awesome content like this! I love videos that go into detail and breakdown combat sports techniques and the science behind the art form in motion. I just found your channel and just subscribed. I really enjoyed this. It helps people realize "how can someone like this skinny dude like O'malley KO dude's flat?" it's because he really understands how to put velocity on his shots mixed with relaxed fast twitched movement. There's so much more to his game and Nayoa Inoue is also a great example of another smaller guy who's fully capable of beating most people in the world. Mixing fun with the learning process and the dedicated hard work really is such a underrated aspect that a lot of people don't seem to allow themselves to do.. Great channel dude. I love this kind of stuff 🤘🏻

@tylerc8411

Hell yeah, now im going to try this

@Eri587

Long ass comment ahead. While everything you said about body mechanincs and relaxation is completely true, it is completely wrong to say that rate of force development and strength are less important or don't correlate to punching power, both technique and raw power are necessary for truly devastating power, lacking strength and rate of force development is why O'malley despite having absolutely flawless technique couldn't really put out Aljo. Strength increases the ceiling of how much power you can potentially produce, you don't need to be a powerlifter but the physically stronger you are the harder you will hit once you train your rate of force development and stretch shorthening cylce. RFD is the body ability to produce force at faster rates, this doesn't refer to the speed of the move itself, is how much force you can produce during the movement itself, this is trained with resistance training at high velocities like oly lifts, kettlebell swings, med ball slams and throws, weighted plyometrics, resisted sprints and generic plyometrics like box jumps and jump squats but how much force you can produce depends on your base of strength, if you squat 100lbs your punches won't be as strong as they would be if you squatted 150lbs, some people might avoid strength training to not gain muscle but you can get stronger without gaining mass but like i said earlier, you don't need to be a powerlifter, just getting stronger is enough. The stretch shorthening cycle is the muscles and tendons ability to stretch and contract under load, the load being momentum forces created during high intensity sport activities such as sprinting, jumping or punching and kicking. To train this you need plyometrics, specifically short and fast stretch plyometrics. An example of a short stretch plyo is a depth jump where you jump off a box, land in a half squat and immediately jump as high as you can, a fast stretch is the same exercise but instead of landing in a half squat, you land in a quarter squat. Earlier i mentioned generic plyos wich are good for muscle elasticity but those train rfd more than ssc and ssc really gives your strinking that spring feeling where you load your punch and shoot hard, if you don't train this no amount of technique and relaxation will make up for it. To summarize you need technique, body mechanics and physicality. Technique is the set up, presicion, landing as a counter and things like that. Body mechanics is the way you move your body for power production like weight shifting, leg drive, elastic recoil. Physicality is your strength, rfd and ssc. All of them are necessary for truly devastating power that sleeps your opponents.
